A few days passed by in a flash, and at the Wansheng Dragon Palace in Chaotic Stone Mountain at Green Wave Pool, the atmosphere within the palace had been extrely oppressive.

So mbers of the Water Clan who had initially been dismissed by Dragon King Wansheng had returned, but over these days, there was a pervasive sense of an impending storm among everyone.

Ultimately, everything traced back to Princess Wansheng.

Her belly had swollen up as if it were a balloon being inflated.

"Benboba, what's wrong with you?"

Inside the Dragon Palace, a Demon Creature with the head of a fish and the body of a human sat on the steps with a look of grievance, then another Demon Creature with a similar appearance approached and asked curiously, seeing his depressed deanor.

"Baboerben, it's you!"

After glancing at the newcor, Benboba, feeling very aggrieved, said, "I was just pouring tea for the Prince Consort when I accidentally broke a cup, and the Prince Consort scolded fiercely!"

"You say, we have been following the Prince Consort for so long, was it just because I accidentally broke a tea cup?"

"Hey, try to be understanding, these past days, the Prince Consort's mood has been very bad, you'd better be careful!" Baboerben ca over and helplessly patted Benboba's shoulder, consoling him.

"The Prince Consort is in a bad mood? Why?"

However, scratching his bald fish head, Benboba felt puzzled and said, "The Princess has finally beco pregnant, shouldn't the Prince Consort be happy? Why is he in a bad mood?"

"You don't know?!"

Baboerben widened his eyes, filled with astonishnt, and said, "These days, the atmosphere in our Dragon Palace has been very oppressive, everyone is being extrely cautious, haven't you felt it?"

"Ah? Now that you ntion it, it does make so sense!" Listening to Baboerben's words, Benboba thought carefully and, coming to a realization, nodded in agreent.

Indeed, upon reflection, ever since they had been dismissed by the Dragon King earlier and then returned, the atmosphere in the Dragon Palace indeed seed a bit off!

"You, you're really too careless! You didn't even notice these things..." Looking at Benboba's expression, Baboerben almost couldn't help but laugh and cry, as if Benboba wouldn't have noticed any of these changes if he hadn't pointed them out.

Although it was always known that Benboba was not very wise, it was unexpected that he would fail to notice such obvious changes.

"By the way, Baboerben, you haven't explained it yet, why is the Prince Consort unhappy? Logically speaking, with the Princess finally pregnant, shouldn't the Prince Consort be happy?" Although he had been prompted by Baboerben, Benboba's surprise had not lessened at all.

"You..."

Seeing Benboba's genuine expression, Baboerben thought for a mont and decided it was best to tell him, lest he remain oblivious and inadvertently offend the Prince Consort again.

Thus, after a mont of Silence, Baboerben said, "Actually, everyone says that the child in the Princess's belly quite possibly isn't the Prince Consort's, and that's why the Prince Consort has been feeling so awful!"

"Not the Prince Consort's!?" Upon hearing this, Benboba exclaid in shock.

However, Baboerben quickly reacted and hurriedly covered his mouth, saying, "Don't shout it out loud. If the Prince Consort hears you, do you still want to live?"

"Nobody dares to speak it aloud; everyone just suspects it privately, so you'd better be careful these days and not provoke the Prince Consort!"

"Okay, I understand, I got it!" Hearing Baboerben's warning, Benboba nodded in understanding.

Upon learning the truth, it felt as though his heart was being tossed by tumultuous waves. After Baboerben's words, Benboba felt enlightened, no wonder everything recently seed amiss. If Baboerben had not told him, he really wouldn't have known anything.

"Alright, Baboerben, the Prince Consort's tea might be running low, I'll go and refill it!" Having understood the truth of the matter, Benboba grew a bit more cautious himself.

While speaking, he prepared freshly boiled water and went into the room of the Nine-Headed Serpent.

In the room, the Nine-Headed Serpent sat at the table that was covered with nurous ancient texts, even bamboo slips, appearing to be examining sothing.

Knowing that the Prince Consort had been in a foul mood recently, Benboba didn't dare say much; he simply prepared the tea properly and without saying a word, quietly withdrew.

To Benboba's actions, the Nine-Headed Serpent paid no heed, as though he was completely absorbed in the ocean of books.

After a long while, the Nine-Headed Serpent put down the bamboo slip in his hands, casually picked up the teacup from the table, and took a gentle sip, his brow furrowed in thought.

"What is going on? I've looked through many ancient texts, and mbers of the Dragon Clan generally need several years of pregnancy before giving birth. So, what is going on with the child in my wife's belly?" the Nine-Headed Serpent muttered quietly to himself.

Recently, the matter of his wife's pregnancy weighed heavily on him, and the Nine-Headed Serpent felt a great deal of oppression on his mood.

Originally, when his wife beca pregnant, the Nine-Headed Serpent naturally suspected it was because of Little White Dragon Aolie; otherwise, after many years without conceiving, how could it be that soon after she and Little White Dragon Aolie were alone together briefly, she beca pregnant?

Yet, suspecting it was Little White Dragon Aolie, these days, the Nine-Headed Serpent felt sothing was amiss.

Because his wife's belly was swelling up too rapidly, almost changing by the day.

After a thorough examination by his father-in-law, the conclusion drawn was that, barring any surprises, his wife should give birth in about eight or nine days.

Thus, these past few days, the Nine-Headed Serpent had been checking various ancient texts, ticulously investigating how pregnancies in the Dragon Clan worked.

However, after a long search, he couldn't find any instances of childbirth occurring after just eight or nine days.

It was true that dragons were naturally lustful, having mated with many different races and therefore, had sired many offspring with dragon bloodlines.

After all, there's a saying that goes: the dragon has nine sons, each different from the others, does it not?

Thus, when Dragons mingled with other races, the resulting offspring's gestation periods naturally varied.

But the shortest gestation period was still half a year, right?

For his wife to just be pregnant for eight or nine days was completely unheard of.

Yet, even though he did not understand what was happening with his wife's pregnancy, the Nine-Headed Serpent was still in a very bad mood upon the thought.

Because what he could affirm was that it definitely was not his child.

The Nine-Headed Serpent knew his own family matters; if he had impregnated his wife, it could not possibly result in childbirth in just a few days.

"Ah, what on earth is going on!" After thinking for a long ti and growing increasingly agitated, the Nine-Headed Serpent suddenly threw the bamboo slip he was holding.

Never mind whether the child inside his wife's belly was Aolie's or not, at least, it definitely wasn't his own.

If childbirth could really be completed in just eight or nine days, then he should just witness with his own eyes what kind of thing his wife could possibly give birth to.

"Damn, Aolie, how dare you humiliate like this..."

Thinking of his wife being pregnant with a child that wasn't his own, the Nine-Headed Serpent felt utterly disgraced, his eyes filled with a shade of hatred.

These days, although no one dared to speak idle gossip before him about the child inside, the Nine-Headed Serpent was very much aware of it.

And these words, to the Nine-Headed Serpent, were more hurtful than the most poisonous words in the world!

Nine days swiftly passed!

Since Princess Wansheng beca pregnant, those nine days passed amidst a suffocating atmosphere.

During these nine days, the Nine-Headed Serpent stayed alone, thinking a great deal and increasingly feeling that he had lost significant face.

Indeed, for any man, could there be anything more humiliating than his wife carrying another man's child?

Similarly, these past few days, Princess Wansheng was also in a terrible mood, for she couldn't possibly explain the situation of the child inside her, even if she were covered in mouths.

Watching her stomach grow day by day, Princess Wansheng felt extrely anxious.

First and foremost, this unknown child was sothing Princess Wansheng truly did not want.

Yet, no matter what, the child inside her was one she was nurturing, and feeling this additional life force within her body, Princess Wansheng's heart softened with maternal affection.

Furthermore, though the Nine-Headed Serpent had completely neglected to visit her during these nine days, her father ca by often to check on her, even instructing the maids to take good care of her.

All this made Princess Wansheng feel deeply moved.

Indeed, no matter the circumstances, one's parents are truly unfailingly supportive!

Yes, for Dragon King Wansheng, his mood was indeed very good.

Although Princess Wansheng claid the child wasn't Aolie's, and even not the Nine-Headed Serpent's, and she couldn't even clarify who the father was, from Dragon King Wansheng's viewpoint, no matter who the father was, at least the mother was his daughter, the child was still his bloodline.

Thus, Dragon King Wansheng naturally treated the child in her womb as his own grandchild, even as his own grandson.

Just like this, the nine days passed in a blink.

As ti arrived, that day, Princess Wansheng felt an excruciating pain in her abdon.

After checking the pulse and confirming the situation, Dragon King Wansheng imdiately ordered, "Quick, prepare everything, the Princess is going to give birth!"
