Capítulo 1328: Chapter 1326: God-Forbidding Ring (Divine Level)

The Tathagata’s expression was not pleasant, as he seriously stared at Jiang Liu.

Although he usually appeared humble and courteous, seemingly easy to talk to, when he beca obstinate, he truly had a stubborn streak that could not be changed, even by nine bulls. The Tathagata had known this for a long ti.

Now, Jiang Liu’s attitude was clear — he would admit guilt but not acknowledge his mistake. In any case, no matter how you punish him, he would not admit his fault, and naturally, he would be even less willing to agree to find Maitreya Buddha’s lost souls.

At this mont, the Tathagata also felt very troubled in his heart.

Punish Jiang Liu? The main purpose of bringing him here was certainly not to punish him.

The main difficulty is determining what punishnt would be appropriate?

Directly killing him for retribution? But the Journey to the West is nearly completed, should he now exact retribution?

What about other punishnts? Imprisoning him? However, this would greatly affect the progress of the Journey to the West for Scriptures, wouldn’t it?

If he cannot be killed, nor can the progress of the Journey to the West for Scriptures be affected, then what punishnt would be suitable?

For a mont, the Tathagata felt very troubled in his heart.

Moreover, the reason why the Tathagata had previously conferred him the title of Sandalwood rit Buddha ahead of ti was to give him a Heart Calming Pill, allowing him to serve the Buddhist Sect peacefully.

Thus, the punishnt cannot be too severe, can it?

Of course, the issue of how to punish Jiang Liu is not the primary concern right now. The most pressing issue is still the matter of Maitreya Buddha’s soul.

Therefore, as the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the Great Thunder Monastery criticized Jiang Liu, the Tathagata remained silent, only secretly pondering.

“Xuanzang…” After a long silence, the Tathagata finally spoke again.

As the Tathagata spoke, all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas present decisively stopped talking, and everyone’s gaze fell upon the Tathagata.

“Disciple is here!” Jiang Liu lowered his head once again, speaking with a humble deanor.

“Regarding the matter of you killing Maitreya Buddha, the reason for it is already known to ; it was due to the King of Won’s Kingdom, right?” The Tathagata’s expression softened significantly, completely different from the earlier reprimands directed at Jiang Liu.

“Indeed!” Jiang Liu seriously nodded, candidly admitting this point.

“Then the question arises, having killed Maitreya Buddha, have you found a way to lift the effects of the Brahma Tally thod?” After hearing Jiang Liu’s candid response, the Tathagata imdiately followed up with another question.

“Disciple has not found such a thod?” With these words, the conversation hit a pivotal point, and Jiang Liu shook his head, speaking with a troubled expression.

Concluding his statent, Jiang Liu’s expression shifted slightly, his gaze resting on the Tathagata, and he asked, “May I ask the Buddha if there is a way to eliminate the effects of the Brahma Tally thod?”

“Amitabha, concerning this matter, to untie the bell, the person who tied it must do it…” Hearing Jiang Liu’s inquiry, the Tathagata slightly bowed his head and spoke.

Well, the Tathagata’s response clearly indicated that he did not have a way to eliminate the harm caused by the Brahma Tally thod.

Previously, even Ancestor Minghe couldn’t solve this problem, so the Tathagata saying he can’t solve it might be disappointing, but it was sothing Jiang Liu expected.

“However…”

Then, the Tathagata’s words took a turn, and he said, “Although I cannot resolve the harm caused by the Brahma Tally thod, I can still try and see if there’s a possibility, since I do know a little about the Brahma Tally thod cultivation technique.”

“In that case, I respectfully request the Tathagata’s assistance!” Hearing the Tathagata’s words, Jiang Liu’s expression subtly changed, and he quickly spoke.

“Amitabha, I can only try my best, but I cannot guarantee success,” said the Tathagata, nodding slightly in response.

“As long as the Buddha is willing to try his best, it will be sufficient!” Upon hearing the Tathagata’s words, Jiang Liu nodded in agreent.

“If that’s the case, you may have the King of Won’s Kingdom stay under my protection, and as for the soul of Maitreya Buddha…” With a slight nod, the Tathagata’s gaze once again fell on Jiang Liu, speaking in a sowhat pointed manner.

“Have no worries, Buddha, when it cos ti to retrieve Maitreya Buddha’s soul, I will certainly try my best!” Upon hearing the Tathagata inquire about Maitreya Buddha’s lost soul, Jiang Liu nodded, seriously responding.

The Tathagata claid he could only try his best, so naturally, when asked about retrieving Maitreya Buddha’s lost soul, Jiang Liu straightforwardly stated he would just try his best.

Having deciphered Jiang Liu’s aning, it was apparent that only by solving the trouble on the King of Won’s Kingdom, he would genuinely help find Maitreya Buddha’s lost soul, won’t he? He’s really soone who won’t release the hawk until he sees the rabbit!

“Alright, since that’s the case, let’s settle it like this. I hope you can soon retrieve Maitreya Buddha’s soul!” The transaction seed to be concluded, and the Tathagata spoke without intending to linger further.

“Disciple also hopes Buddha can soon find a solution to the Brahma Tally thod!” Jiang Liu nodded in agreent.

“Buddha!”

Although no one interrupted during the conversation between Tathagata and Jiang Liu, as the conversation ended, it seed that Jiang Liu could now leave, and so of the Buddhas couldn’t help but stand out.

They slightly bowed to Tathagata, saying: “The Sandalwood rit Buddha killed Maitreya Buddha, such a heinous cri, should it just end like this?”

As this Buddha stood out, many Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the Great Thunder Monastery started whispering among themselves.

Evidently, everyone thought this Buddha made a valid point, Maitreya Buddha was killed, is it so easy to just let Sandalwood rit Buddha leave?

Tathagata’s idea, although good, is to have Xuanzang retrieve the lost soul of Maitreya Buddha, but what if it can’t be found?

Moreover, on this basis, does Tathagata also have to help him solve the consequences of the Brahma Tally thod of the King of Won’s Kingdom?

Isn’t this a punishnt? This is completely a transaction on equal terms!

The main thing is, once the transaction is completed, does Sandalwood rit Buddha just leave?

If Tathagata is unable to find a solution to the Brahma Tally thod of the King of Won’s Kingdom, could Xuanzang’s search for Maitreya Buddha’s lost soul be indefinitely delayed?

Tathagata was silent, but naturally, he clearly heard the discussions of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the Great Thunder Monastery.

One must admit, their words indeed hold so truth.

While superficially scolding Xuanzang a bit, in reality, he seed to be sowhat biased in protecting him, making it evident that trying to brush over things isn’t that easy!

“Xuanzang…” After a mont of silence, Tathagata spoke.

“At your service!” Jiang Liu, upon hearing this, still kept his head down, showing a very good attitude.

“I will help you find a solution to the Brahma Tally thod of the King of Won’s Kingdom, and you will search for the lost soul of Maitreya Buddha, this can be seen as a transaction!” Tathagata said, staring at Jiang Liu.

“Indeed, it is so!” Jiang Liu nodded in agreent upon hearing this.

“Since it is a transaction, naturally both parties owe nothing, then regarding the heinous cri of Maitreya Buddha perishing at your hands, do you think you can just walk away?” Tathagata followed up with a question.

“I ask Buddha to punish !” Jiang Liu still kept his head down, saying to Tathagata.

“Very well! You are extraordinarily bold and relentless. Such a heinous sin would ordinarily call for a life for a life, but now, since you need to bring back the lost soul of Maitreya Buddha, I will spare your life for now!”

With these words, Tathagata paused for a mont and then continued: “However, the death penalty is exempt, but you can’t escape punishnt!”

Regarding Tathagata’s words, Jiang Liu still kept his head down, without any intention of rebuttal, naturally showing his willingness to accept any punishnt.

Seeing Jiang Liu’s good attitude, Tathagata looked around at all the Bodhisattvas and Buddhas present, then said: “Noticing your sincere acceptance of guilt, and your identity as a burden of the Journey to the West for Scriptures, I will not make things difficult for you. You only need to wear this God-Forbidding Ring, and after a hundred years, I will help you remove it! Consider this a small warning with great lesson!”

Upon saying this, Tathagata raised a hand, and a gleaming golden ring appeared and was thrown in front of Jiang Liu.

Reaching out to catch the golden ring thrown by Tathagata, Jiang Liu looked down at it, and the corresponding attribute information naturally erged.

God-Forbidding Ring (Divine Level) (Special Prop): After the target voluntarily wears it, it can imprison all powers within, prohibiting their mobilization, only removable by the owner of the God-Forbidding Ring, never wears out.

“This God-Forbidding Ring is sothing I acquired early on. Once worn, it cannot be removed, and all divine spells and powers cannot be utilized…” As the ring landed in Jiang Liu’s hand, Tathagata followed up with an explanation.

Following Tathagata’s explanation, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the Great Thunder Monastery looked at each other, exchanged a few silent glances, but no one spoke up to raise objections.

These Buddhas and Bodhisattvas wouldn’t leave Jiang Liu unpunished, partly because he indeed committed a grave sin by killing Maitreya Buddha, and partly for fear that his future ferocity might claim their lives as well, so they needed to give him a sufficiently stern lesson.

Now, Tathagata’s God-Forbidding Ring can seal all his powers, rendering various divine spells unusable…

If that’s the case, it genuinely ensures their safety, naturally, these Buddhas and Bodhisattvas had no further objections.

“The God-Forbidding Ring, huh? This is indeed a treasure!”

Looking at the attribute information of the God-Forbidding Ring, although Jiang Liu appeared hesitant on the surface, in actuality, he was secretly amused.
