Capítulo 1267: Chapter 1265: Buddha, Shall I Take the Scriptures With This Ti?

Secondly, precisely due to the calamity of the westward journey now nearing its end, if Xuanzang’s punishnt takes too long, thus prolonging the completion of the journey for scriptures, this is equally unacceptable.
Lastly, and most importantly, because of the past dispute over the Kongdong Seal involving the Lapis Lazuli King Buddha, which led to his demise at Xuanzang’s hands, proposing a punishnt plan now may cause Xuanzang to hold a grudge, potentially making oneself et the sa fate as the Lapis Lazuli King Buddha?

Therefore, when Tathagata asked how Xuanzang should be punished, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas were stumped, with none daring to speak.

“Oh? Bodhisattva of Golden Light, what do you think?” As everyone was hesitant to speak, Golden Hair Lion spoke bravely, causing Tathagata to show a satisfied expression as he addressed him.
At this mont, everyone’s gaze fell on Golden Hair Lion, waiting to hear what plan he might suggest.
Especially those like the Great Power King Buddha, who observed keenly.
From the perspective of allegiance, both Bodhisattva of Golden Light and Sandalwood rit Buddha were in Tathagata’s camp, so would Bodhisattva of Golden Light intentionally favor Xuanzang?
If that were the case, Great Power King Buddha would certainly voice his opposition.
“I have sothing to report, Buddha…”
Regardless of the thoughts of the nearby Buddhas, Golden Hair Lion first saluted Tathagata, then glanced briefly at Jiang Liu, making brief eye contact, before speaking, “The Illusionary Demon Cave exists to punish those in the Buddhist Sect who have committed wrongdoing. Xuanzang has twice entered the Illusionary Demon Cave for punishnt before. Considering Xuanzang’s mistaken killing of Lapis Lazuli King Buddha, perhaps it’s suitable for him to enter the cave a third ti, facing punishnt for three years!”
Three years of punishnt facing the walls in the Illusionary Demon Cave!?
Golden Hair Lion’s proposal made many exchange glances in surprise, even Great Power King Buddha, who initially had a scrutinizing stance, found it hard to oppose.
Is the punishnt of the Illusionary Demon Cave dreadful? Just look at the final outco of Bodhisattva Guanyin.
So, three years of confinent in the Illusionary Demon Cave is quite severe, from this level of punishnt, Golden Hair Lion is truly not showing partiality towards Xuanzang!
“Truly bold! To dare speak such a punishnt aloud? Is he really not afraid of the Sandalwood rit Buddha holding a grudge?” Many Buddhas and Bodhisattvas looked at Golden Hair Lion, internally amazed.
“Three years? No…”
However, as others remained silent, Tathagata slightly furrowed his brow, then shook his head in refusal, saying, “The journey to the West has been underway for nine years already, and there’s not much left. If it’s delayed for another three years, wouldn’t it an the saved world has to wait another three years?”
“Thus, it’s not only punishing Sandalwood rit Buddha, but also punishing the myriad beings subrged in the sea of suffering!”
“Buddha’s words are reasonable!” Following Tathagata’s statent, the dicine Buddha voiced his support first.
“So what does Buddha propose?”
Great Power King Buddha also found sense in Tathagata’s words, feeling that prolonging three years was indeed undesirable, and he proceeded to ask Tathagata.
“Considering Xuanzang’s transgression, how about subjecting him to eighty-one whips of divine judgnt?” After a brief contemplation, Tathagata suggested.
Upon hearing Tathagata’s proposition, Great Power King Buddha didn’t outright reject it but stated, “Buddha, everyone knows that Sandalwood rit Buddha possesses Divine dicine capable of instantly healing injuries…”
Alright, though not explicitly rejecting it, the implication of Great Power King Buddha’s comnt was clear.
Judging from the attitudes of the other Buddhas nearby, they evidently also deed this punishnt too lenient, inadequate for having Jiang Liu learn today’s lesson.
So, how to punish Xuanzang to attain a mutually satisfactory result?
Just as the Tathagata was silently contemplating in his heart, suddenly, in the void, a piece of erald-green leaf appeared, slowly drifting down.
The appearance of this leaf instantly attracted the attention of everyone in the Great Thunder Monastery.
In the void, could a leaf appear and slowly drift down? What is the identity of this leaf?
All the Buddhas in the Great Thunder Monastery naturally understood!
Watching the slowly falling leaf, the Tathagata slowly extended his hands, and then the leaf directly landed in the palm of the Tathagata.
After taking a closer look at this leaf, Tathagata pondered for a mont, made a decision, and then looked at Jiang Liu, saying, “Xuanzang!”
“Yes!” Hearing this, Jiang Liu responded.
“Now, in the Eastern Temple, there is a powerful demon attacking it. Go to the Eastern Temple to subdue the demon. If you can successfully subdue this demon, then your sins will be redeed. If you cannot subdue it, then your sins will be doubled as punishnt. How about it? Are you willing to accept?” The Tathagata proclaid to Jiang Liu.
The tone of this proclamation was not at all a discussion. Seeing that the Tathagata had already made a decision, other Buddhas such as the Great Power King Buddha naturally would not openly challenge it.
Moreover, the fact that a leaf from the Seven-Treasure Wonderful Tree drifted down from the sky and the Tathagata made such a decision shows that this decision reflects the will of the two Sage Sect Masters.
No matter how bold one is, they dare not defy the will of the Sage Sect Masters!
“The Eastern Temple?” Jiang Liu was slightly taken aback by the words of the Tathagata’s decision, feeling inexplicably puzzled.
At this ti, is there really a powerful demon attacking the Eastern Temple? What kind of demon is so bold?
Even if Maitreya Buddha has been demoted to rely Maitreya, it’s not as if any demon can cause trouble there, right?
“I am willing!” However, since the Tathagata announced it assertively, this matter was settled. Jiang Liu naturally had no intention of refusing and nodded in acceptance.
“Good, no ti to lose, you should go! When you arrive at the Eastern Temple, find Maitreya; he will tell you what to do!” Seeing Jiang Liu nod in agreent, the Tathagata slightly nodded as well, not saying much, and waved his hand.
“Wait, Buddha, what about Old Sun?” Sun Wukong, who had been silent all this ti, couldn’t help but ask the Tathagata at this mont.
“You? Although the accidental death of the Lapis Lazuli King Buddha is indirectly related to you, the primary bla rests on Xuanzang. Since your master has taken upon himself the full responsibility, you should return to the team for the Journey to the West for Scriptures and wait for your master!” Hearing Sun Wukong’s inquiry, the Tathagata glanced at him and replied.
“Yuanling, what’s the situation in the Eastern Temple now?” While Sun Wukong and the Tathagata were talking, Jiang Liu opened the dialogue box and sent a ssage to Yuanling.
At this ti, Yuanling had beco a confidant of Maitreya Buddha and presumably should still be at the Eastern Temple, right?
“The Eastern Temple? The current situation? What’s happening at the Eastern Temple?” Soon, Yuanling replied, seemingly very confused between the lines.
From Yuanling’s response, Jiang Liu was secretly astonished, feeling inexplicably puzzled.
Didn’t the Tathagata tell that the Eastern Temple is under demonic attack? But now that I inquired, there’s nothing happening at the Eastern Temple. What’s going on?
“The Eastern Temple isn’t suffering from a demonic attack?” Jiang Liu thought about it and sent another ssage.
“An attack? No! And for no reason, what demon would dare attack here?” Quickly, Yuanling replied again.
Okay, now things really are strange!
“Xuanzang, no ti to waste, you must set out quickly!” At this mont, seeing Jiang Liu just standing still and not leaving, the Tathagata urged.
“Understood, Buddha!” Hearing this, Jiang Liu nodded and answered.
Although feeling highly perplexed, Jiang Liu decided to first go to the Eastern Temple to see what’s going on.
After speaking, Jiang Liu, along with Sun Wukong, exchanged a few words and the two prepared to turn and leave the Great Thunder Monastery.
The Buddhas’ eyes were all focused on Jiang Liu and Sun Wukong, without speaking further.
However, just as Jiang Liu turned and walked a few steps, suddenly, he paused, attracting everyone’s gaze again.
“Xuanzang, is there sothing else?” The Tathagata’s gaze fell on Jiang Liu, asking in surprise.
Turning to look at the Tathagata, Jiang Liu suggested, “Buddha, since I am here at the Great Thunder Monastery, why not take this opportunity to bring the Tripitaka along as well?”
