Journey to the West: Sun Wukong's Advice System Chapter 33 Lone Evidence Does Not Stand, Intentions Are Dire
Although Sun Wukong had declared in Lingxiao Treasure Hall that he would investigate until everything was clear, otherwise he would never accept the celestial script, in reality, he had no concrete plan for conducting an investigation.
It was probably just about working with Demon King and others, mobilizing more demons to help find the whereabouts of the six-eared macaque.
Now that he had received guidance from his senior, he had a clear idea in his mind.
At this mont, Taibai Jinxing, who was designated to supervise the investigation, was observantly watching.
He noticed that the seemingly scattered Monkey King’s gaze had suddenly sharpened, no longer scattered, his whole deanor like an arrow poised to shoot, with a clear target in sight.
On the other side, Ao Guang felt a pressure deep in his soul, and distanced himself even further.
When Sun Wukong saw this, he swiftly moved closer and asked, "Old Dragon King, do you still not trust Wukong?"
Ao Guang startled, hurriedly said, "Dare not, dare not."
After taking a bold risk once, it was as if he had exhausted all his courage and now beca more cautious, fearing to offend Sun Wukong again.
Moreover, he now deeply regretted why he had spoken those harsh scolding words in front of all the immortals.
It was clear to everyone that the Jade Emperor was desperate for reconciliation and did not care about the losses of the Dragon Clan and the Netherworld.
If he angered the Jade Emperor, the situation for the Dragon Clan would worsen.
Although Crystal Palace had been destroyed, countless dragon descendants had died or been injured, and the treasures accumulated over years were stolen, the Dragon Clan had not been annihilated and their lineage could continue in the three realms.
Thinking of this, he felt especially aggrieved; the mighty Dragon Clan had fallen to such lows.
He, this dragon god, was too exhausted.
In an instant, Ao Guang seed to lose all strength, desolately lowering his head.
Sun Wukong at his side noticed this change, and roughly guessed what the Old Dragon King was thinking.
"Hey!" He scratched his face, not continuing to question.
When the truth erged, the Old Dragon King would understand everything.
Arriving at the Crystal Palace in the Eastern Sea, they saw what was once a splendid palace, now reduced to ruins.
Amidst the broken walls and remnants, lay many bodies of the Dragon and Sea tribes.
Seeing this, Ao Guang felt an even greater surge of sadness.
Before going to Heaven to complain, he had already moved the surviving mbers of the Dragon Clan to the Northern Sea, leaving only so minor sea soldiers to guard the place, making the ruins of the Crystal Palace appear even more desolate.
"Alas," Taibai Jinxing sighed.
"That villain truly deserves hatred!" Sun Wukong also grew angry from the heart, and he also felt relieved that the cri scene had not been destroyed.
As Senior 9527 had said, the cri scene was crucial for gathering evidence and clues, and if it were destroyed, the case would be difficult to investigate.
"Old Star Lord, Old Dragon King," Sun Wukong cupped his hands, "Both of you, please stand aside for a mont while Wukong examines the scene."
"With things like this, what’s there to examine? Do you still think my Eastern Sea Dragon Clan hasn’t suffered enough?" Ao Guang lanted.
"You old dragon, all whining and sobbing, what kind of manner is this!" Sun Wukong scolded angrily, "Wukong is speaking kindly to you out of pity, don’t think Wukong has no temper!
From this mont, whatever Wukong says, is. You just listen, and if you disrupt Wukong’s investigation, don’t bla Wukong for being rude!"
Ao Guang’s crying stopped abruptly, he just stifled it, nodding obediently.
"The king goes to investigate, I’ll watch here," Taibai Jinxing said with a cheerful smile.
"Watch carefully!" Sun Wukong’s eyes flashed, and his form disappeared on the spot.
Taibai Jinxing and Ao Guang saw a golden streak of light flashing continuously throughout the ruins of the Crystal Palace.
Monts later, the light stopped, and Sun Wukong stepped back to their side.
Seeing Sun Wukong deep in thought, Taibai Jinxing asked, "Has the king discovered anything?"
Ao Guang also looked expectantly at him.
"A small discovery," Sun Wukong modestly said, yet he was actually pleased with himself and then, looking seriously at Ao Guang, he asked, "Old Dragon King, think carefully, was that thief who disguised himself as Wukong, from the North?"
Ao Guang frowned and thought carefully, then seriously nodded, "Yes, indeed from the North, and he also headed North when leaving, the Old Dragon had never noticed this before."
Sun Wukong stood tall, looking north, "That’s right, just now I surveyed the area and found that the shadow of the staff that destroyed the Crystal Palace ca from the north.
My Fruit Mountain is in the east; if at that ti there had been a fallout, it should have co from the east.
Of course, a single piece of evidence is not conclusive, and this discovery still cannot clear my na of suspicion."
Hearing this, Ao Guang was starting to believe him a bit.
"Furthermore, I’ve discovered that not a single treasure is left in the Dragon Palace’s seabed treasury," Sun Wukong continued, "Were they all stolen, or did you, old Dragon King, hide so of them?
Speak the truth now, no falsehoods allowed."
"How could the old dragon dare to deceive? Indeed, nothing is left," Ao Guang hurriedly said, "At that ti, even the weapons of the dragon and sea tribe casualties were thoroughly plundered."
"Oh? Interesting, interesting," Sun Wukong scratched his face.
Taibai Jinxing also stroked his beard in thought, clearly aware that this was an important discovery.
After giving Sun Wukong a glance, he had initially thought the Monkey King was rely impulsively investigating the case, but it turned out he actually had so thods.
All this examining of the scene, understanding that a single piece of evidence does not confirm anything, he had never heard of them before.
Seeing that Sun Wukong didn’t continue to question further, he smiled and praised, "Your Majesty, you investigate cases with great thod, truly admirable."
"Hehe, re trifle, re trifle," Sun Wukong laughed as he scratched his hand, even more pleased with himself, then said, "That’s all we have found here, let’s take a trip to the netherworld."
The two imdiately left, with Ao Guang not accompanying them.
They arrived at the netherworld, where they first t with the new-appointed Yama, the King of Hell, and then Sun Wukong, just like at the Eastern Sea Dragon Palace, surveyed all the damaged places in the netherworld.
Unfortunately, due to the vast sprawling darkness, these damaged locations were scattered everywhere, appearing very disordered and yielding no useful clues.
In the end, it was Yama, the King of Hell, who pointed out that during the chaos in the netherworld, the diffuse gray fog that always lingered there had suddenly beco much denser, engulfing everything.
"And in the netherworld, the only one capable of manipulating this gray fog is Lady rcy," Yama, the King of Hell, finally said, yet his words had an implied aning.
"Lord of the Netherworld, watch your gaze," Sun Wukong sneered, "Indeed, I am acquainted with the old lady, but I also believe she’s not one to act out of favoritism."
Taibai Jinxing shook his head; he understood the character of Yama, the King of Hell—it was one of utmost integrity.
But overly rigid, he dared to suspect anyone.
He even suspected Lady rcy of shielding the fake Sun Wukong during the chaos in the netherworld.
Indeed, after these investigations, he had co to believe that Sun Wukong had been frad.
At that mont, after hearing Sun Wukong’s words, Yama, however, still persisted in his views, standing there unyieldingly.
"You cur!" Sun Wukong glared at him, calling out, "Co on, let’s go find the old lady and ask her for clarity!"
Then the three of them went to the Bridge of Helplessness, where they saw ng Po holding the soul of a mber of the Dragon Tribe, pouring a bowl of ng Po Soup, and sighing, "Better to reincarnate sooner."
Sun Wukong felt a movent in his heart, fearing that these were the dragons from the Eastern Sea who had died.
At that mont, ng Po looked at them, "It’s a coincidence, I just sent off all those dead souls from the Eastern Sea."
"Paying respect to Lady rcy," Taibai Jinxing and Yama bowed respectfully.
"I’ve told you, I am now ng Po, not Lady rcy," ng Po shook her head.
"Granny, here cos Sun Wukong again," Sun Wukong just bowed.
"Is it about you causing havoc in the netherworld?" ng Po said.
"Ah, granny, you must make it clear, it wasn’t who caused the chaos!" Sun Wukong bowed again, picking up on ng Po’s implication.
"I know," ng Po smiled, "I was actually planning to et the Celestial Emperor, but since you’re here, I’ll tell you what happened then."
"Please do tell, granny," Sun Wukong hastened to say.
"Always so impatient, you monkey," ng Po said, "When that Sun Wukong made his move, a shadow took advantage of the chaos to send a bunch of souls into the Cycle of Reincarnation."
Taibai Jinxing and Yama looked troubled, especially Yama, who knew exactly what this ant.
"There appeared a group of beings reincarnated with mories?" Sun Wukong scratched his face, pondering too.
