However, while Sha Wujing was still bewildered,
Xuanzang had already disappeared, and the hole, a few feet in diater, closed instantly, with the ground returning to normal.
Sha Wujing then realized, rushed forward, kneeled on the ground, and frantically clawed at the earth, shouting, “Master!

But as Sha Wujing dug a big hole in the ground with his hands, he found no sign of any burrow and the soil was solid, without even an ant hole.
Seeing this, Sha Wujing was furious.
He abruptly sprang up from the ground, swung his Demon-Subduing Staff, and smashed it into the ground.
With a “boom,” a loud noise, he created a deep pit several ters deep, but still no hole appeared, leaving Sha Wujing bewildered and at a loss.
