207: Chapter 208 Sun Wukong: No Way on the Journey to the West 207: Chapter 208 Sun Wukong: No Way on the Journey to the West Guanyin Bodhisattva, together with her disciple rciful Shore Walker, was hastening on her journey, but her mind was pondering over Sun Wukong.

After all, it was originally Sakyamuni Tathagata who suppressed Sun Wukong, but in the end, it failed, and even she gained no benefit from it.

It was only after so benefits were given that Sun Wukong chose to seal himself in the predetermined place.

Even so, it could not be denied that Sun Wukong had disrupted their plans.

Therefore, the closer Guanyin Bodhisattva got to Sun Wukong, the more doubtful her heart beca, causing her brows to furrow.

On the surface, it seed Sun Wukong chose to seal himself due to his sins.

But what exactly Sun Wukong was thinking, even they didn’t understand.

“I just hope these changes don’t cause too much impact!”

Although Guanyin was still sowhat worried, there was nothing she could do but steel herself and proceed.

As she was reflecting, suddenly she saw ten thousand rays of golden light and endless auspicious energy.

Guanyin realized she had now reached Two-Realm Mountain, the very place where Sun Wukong had sealed himself.

Logically speaking, Sun Wukong should have been sealed under Five Elents Mountain, but now there was no mountain, just a huge formation.

“Bodhisattva, that place emblazoned with light must be where that Monkey Head is!”

rciful Shore Walker, catching sight of the brilliant light ahead, couldn’t help but have his eyes light up.

He had indeed witnessed the grand past of Sun Wukong.

Especially when Sun Wukong alone caused Havoc in Heaven, triggering great chaos in the celestial Court, which was not sothing ordinary people could achieve.

And yet now, things had changed.

“This is indeed where the Great Sage Equalling Heaven, who disrupted the Peach Banquet and even caused Havoc in Heaven, is located.

At that ti, the celestial Court was in disarray, and Great celestial Venerate commissioned Tathagata to take action, making that demon monkey awaken suddenly, who now knowing his sins, chose to seal himself here.”

“Initially, that demon monkey even wanted to seal himself for five thousand years to redeem his sins, but our rciful Buddha decided to only let him be sealed for five hundred years, and it seems that this period is almost coming to an end!”

“The demon monkey is about to co out!”

Guanyin Bodhisattva slowly nodded and said.

As the two spoke, they had already reached the vicinity of the great formation.

Although Guanyin Bodhisattva did not know why Sun Wukong suddenly chose to seal himself initially,

now that she had co near, she had no choice but to steel herself and proceed.

After all, the Calamity of asurent concerning their Western Buddhist Sect’s prosperity had to be continued, no matter what.

“Who is chewing on Old Sun’s na?”

Just then, a voice arose.

It was from the figure within the depths of the formation.

“How bold!”

rciful Shore Walker standing by her side shouted loudly, but just as he was about to continue, he was stopped by Guanyin Bodhisattva at his side.

“Sun, do you recognize ?”

Guanyin vocally began.

Sun Wukong’s cultivation had already reached the middle stage of Quasi-Saint, and he had long since detected Guanyin Bodhisattva and rciful Shore Walker.

However, he had not imdiately revealed this.

At that mont, Sun Wukong loudly called out, “How could I not recognize you?

You must be the Great Compassionate and rciful Savior Guanyin Bodhisattva from Mount Putuo in the South Sea.

I wonder what brings the Bodhisattva here today?”

Hearing this, Guanyin Bodhisattva’s face unwittingly showed a compassionate expression, and then she opened her mouth to say, “I am here on the Buddha’s command, heading to the Eastern Land to seek those who will procure scriptures.

Passing by here, I specifically ca to see you.”

As the two conversed, they were like two friends who had not seen each other for many years.

Yet as Sun Wukong listened to Guanyin Bodhisattva’s words, his heart stirred slightly.

Scripture seekers, it was indeed about the Calamity of asurent.

Ti had passed so quickly, and the blink of an eye, the Calamity was upon them.

Considering the instructions from his Brother Wang Yang, he truly did not want to step into this Calamity in such a confused manner.

By now, he had a clear understanding of this Calamity; it was nothing more than the chessboard of competition between Buddhism and Daoism.

And he was rely a chess piece.

With this in mind, Sun Wukong then chuckled and said, “Since the Bodhisattva already has a task from Buddhism, then Old Sun shall not detain you further.

The Bodhisattva better hurry on her journey, to fulfill the intention of Buddhism and find that scripture seeker!”

At that mont, Sun Wukong did not think further and simply issued a dismissal.

Hearing Sun Wukong’s words,

Guanyin Bodhisattva, who still wanted to seize the opportunity to continue the conversation, was taken aback.

Sun Wukong was not at all curious; he didn’t even respond to the conversational cues.

After being sealed here for five hundred years, did he not want to co out at all?

As long as he got the opportunity to recruit the other party, Sun Wukong naturally had a chance to enter the scripture-procuring team.

However, what he did not expect was that Sun Wukong did not pick up on the conversation, nor did he ask a single question about her searching for the scripture seeker in the East.

Now, he directly asked her to go to the Eastern Land to search for the scripture seeker.

How could she proceed if he, destined to go through calamities, did not go?

How else could the Calamity of asurent continue!

“Cough, cough, although this matter is urgent, I have co specifically to et you, and I naturally hope to catch up with you,” he said.

After a few coughs, Guanyin Bodhisattva spoke, “Back then, you caused chaos at the Peach Banquet, and even caused Havoc in Heaven, which was a grave mistake.

Now you have been punished here for five hundred years, and since the ti is nearly up, you just need to find one opportunity, and you can co out!”

Guanyin Bodhisattva realized that getting Sun Wukong to start the conversation was impossible, so he had to bring up the topic himself.

To make Sun Wukong understand, Guanyin Bodhisattva directly pointed out where this opportunity lay.

“Great Mahasattva Guanyin, perhaps there is a mistake.

I, Old Sun, committed great errors and knew the depth of my sins, hence sealed myself for five thousand years.

Now it has only been five hundred years, and there is still a long ti until the term of my punishnt ends,” said Sun Wukong, his heart coldly sneering.

The Western Buddhist Sect was extrely hypocritical, only wanting to involve him in the Calamity of asurent, yet speaking in circles.

What opportunity were they speaking of?

After all, wasn’t this just a sche to trap him into the Journey to the West’s Calamity of asurent?

However, Sun Wukong, who already understood everything, had already planned his actions in his heart.

Moreover, after the last visit to Wang Yang, Sun Wukong felt his power was still too weak and decided to wait until he reached the Saint level before stepping out.

Upon hearing Sun Wukong’s words, Guanyin was startled, then shook her head and said, “Well and good, well and good.

Although it is so, our Buddhist Path is inherently life-affirming, and in the end, we decided to only punish the benefactor for five hundred years, didn’t we?”

“Now that the term is almost up, since you recognize the depths of your sin, you should atone and make ands.

As long as you enter the Journey to the West’s Calamity of asurent and protect the scripture seeker, achieving success in seeking scriptures at the Great Thunderclap Monastery, then not only will you be absolved of all guilt, but you will also gain supre rit, right?”

Hearing Sun Wukong’s words, giving off the impression he would not co out on his own, Guanyin Bodhisattva was sowhat dumbfounded.

If Sun Wukong did not co out, how could they proceed with their Calamity of asurent?

She then directly broke the news, asking Sun Wukong to enter the Calamity of asurent.

Since Sun Wukong admitted his deep sins, he naturally should show his sincerity and prove it through actions.

As long as he joined the scripture-procuring team, his punishnt would naturally be lifted in ti.

And he could even gain rit, which would be the best outco.

At this mont, Guanyin Bodhisattva’s words were very earnest, and she appeared genuinely helpful to Sun Wukong.

However, Sun Wukong, seeing Guanyin Bodhisattva’s actions in the Formation, could not help but sneer internally.

He knew the other party could no longer hold back, or else she would not have spoken outright.

For this Western Calamity, the West had been scheming for hundreds of years, even from the ti he was still a stone.

The Buddhist sect had indeed put a lot of effort into this.

Although Sun Wukong was aware of this within his heart, he still showed no outward reaction on his face.

“This task of seeking scriptures is so crucial, and the journey is undoubtedly full of dangers.

When danger suddenly arises, I, Old Sun, only possess the cultivation of a Golden Light aspect, and Bodhisattva might want to find soone more capable, so as to ensure more stability,” said Sun Wukong, neither humbling himself nor acting arrogantly, rejecting Guanyin’s suggestion.

In the end, he could only cite his own weakness, stating his strength was insufficient to undertake such a formidable task.

Upon hearing this, Guanyin continuously shook her head.

“Wukong, you are being modest.

If your strength was truly weak, then the Havoc in Heaven wouldn’t have turned the Celestial Court upside down!”

“If you were truly weak, then the Deities of the Celestial Court would surely have no place to show their faces!”

“Moreover, once you declared yourself king over a mountain, the heavens recognized your exceptional strength, and that was why a decree was issued to na you the Great Sage Equalling Heaven!”

“And Great Saint, you did not disappoint.

Although you disturbed the Peach Banquet, stole the immortality pills, pilfered the imperial wine, and caused havoc in Heaven, no one in the majestic Celestial Court was a match for you.

That’s why they beseech Lord Sakyamuni Tathagata to co and intervene!”

“Even Lord Sakyamuni Tathagata couldn’t gain an advantage over you; if it weren’t for you recognizing the depth of your sins, it’s doubtful that anyone in the Three Realms could have outwitted you!”

At this mont, Great Mahasattva Guanyin truly felt exasperated.

Although she had anticipated that Sun Wukong would be troubleso to deal with, she hadn’t expected him to be so resistant.

Therefore, at this point, Guanyin Bodhisattva could no longer care about subtleties.

Since Sun Wukong ntioned his insufficient strength, she could only play him up further.

In the end, it seed that even Sakyamuni Tathagata was no match for Sun Wukong.

“Bodhisattva jests.

In these Three Realms, vast and boundless, filled with countless divine demons, perhaps I, Old Sun, possess so minor cultivation, but I fear it’s still not enough to catch those true talents’ eyes!”

“The reason I could cause havoc in Heaven back then was rely out of the heavens’ compassion, and neither the Celestial Court nor the deities from the West cared to deal with !”

“Now, aware of the gravitas of my sins and having not cultivated in five hundred years, my mana is nearly depleted.

I fear I cannot bear the heavy responsibility of this western Journey to Seek Scriptures.

Perhaps, Bodhisattva, you should seek soone else!”

With that, Sun Wukong made it clear, there was no way he was embarking on the Journey to the West.
