Chapter 1198: Chapter 368: Sky Fox Upheaval (Part 2)
All her thoughts now are focused on how to persuade her father.
Sun Wukong felt a slight stir in his heart. He had a feeling that sothing had happened to the Sky Fox Race.
This Second Elder was acting abnormal, and Hu Jin’s earlier interruption of Hu i clearly indicated he knew sothing and didn’t want her to go inside.
However, Hu i did not understand Hu Jin’s intention and was determined to go in.
“Your father is in the council chamber, let take you there.”
Second Elder Hu Hai said.
Hu i didn’t think much about it. There were many matters within the Sky Fox Race, and her father often stayed in the council chamber, so this wasn’t unusual.
Primarily because the Second Elder was her father’s confidant, Hu i naturally wouldn’t overthink.
Along the way, Sun Wukong observed the environnt of the Sky Fox Race.
Here, the peaks connected majestically, and the scenery was extraordinarily primitive, with little sign of human craftsmanship, more akin to the prival tis.
Clearly, this was a scenery the Sky Fox Race had preserved, a reminiscence of the ancient tis.
As they walked into the heart of the Sky Fox Race, Sun Wukong suddenly asked, “Hu i, does your Sky Fox Race not have even a single ordinary clan mber? Why are there only guards?”
Hu i paused, stopping in her tracks, showing a strange expression.
Earlier, she did sense sothing was off, but if it weren’t for Sun Wukong’s reminder, Hu i wouldn’t have realized it.
At this mont, she finally beca aware that sothing was wrong with the scene of the Sky Fox Race.
Usually, there were guards here, but more often the tribe mbers would be playing here.
But today, not a single tribe mber was seen, only the presence of guards, no other tribe mbers were visible.
Moreover, the aura of killing intent from those guards was too strong, more like they had just experienced slaughter, the murderous aura still lingering.
Realizing this, Hu i’s face changed.
She stared at the Second Elder and asked coldly, “Second Elder, I want to know what’s going on. Where are the tribe mbers?”
The Second Elder’s face initially had a smile, but upon hearing Hu i’s question, the smile vanished, revealing a peculiar look.
The next mont, he suddenly swung a palm towards Hu i.
Sun Wukong pulled Hu i over, avoiding the Second Elder’s strike.
He stared at the Second Elder and sneered, “I always thought sothing was up with you; beneath that gentle exterior lies an irrepressible killing intent, yet this silly girl couldn’t see it.”
Being called a silly girl by Sun Wukong made Hu i’s face darken.
However, she didn’t scold Sun Wukong. Instead, she stared intently at the Second Elder and coldly asked, “Second Elder, what exactly is going on? Why are you attacking ? What about my father?”
The Second Elder’s face turned ferocious.
With a cold smile, he said, “What a pity, if it weren’t for that little monster you brought back noticing sothing was off and pulling you away, I would have captured you by now.”
Saying this, the Second Elder paused and then coldly said, “But even if you realized it, you couldn’t do anything now. I’ll send you down to et your dead old man.”
“What? You killed my father?”
Hu i’s face changed drastically.
She heard the aning in the Second Elder’s words; he had killed her father.
“Impossible, with your strength, how could you kill my father unless…”
At this point, Hu i’s face was filled with horror.
“Indeed, only I could kill your father, no one else could.”
A cold laugh echoed as an exceptionally handso and imposing man appeared. He looked about twenty-five or twenty-six years old, but in the world of immortals, one cannot judge age by appearance.
“Great Elder.”
Hu i’s face turned deathly pale.
If there was any sliver of hope before, now there was none.
“Did you really kill my father? Why did you do it? He was a Supre. Having two Supres in a tribe is completely different from having only one. Are you mad?”
Hu i couldn’t comprehend why the Great Elder did this.
The Great Elder gave a cold smile and said indifferently, “Your father betrayed Haotian God, intending to associate with the Heavenly Court and join its embrace. Naturally, he deserved to die. Not just your father, everyone of your lineage deserves to die, including those supporters.”
Hu i was shocked and felt ice-cold all over.
She couldn’t believe that her seemingly neutral father actually leaned towards the current Heavenly Court.
No wonder the Great Elder and the others wanted to take action against him; they hated the current Heavenly Court the most.
Especially after knowing the Jade Emperor was Haotian God, they were furious with Great Emperor Ziwei and others for ruining Haotian God’s plans.
If it weren’t for the rise of the Ziwei Heavenly Court, Haotian God’s arrangents would have unfolded smoothly.
“All because of this, you killed my father.”
Hu i said with a face full of sorrow.
The Great Elder smiled faintly and said, “From the Primordial era, we were the vassals of Haotian God. The Sky Fox Race, if it betrays Haotian God, is naturally rebellious and deserves to be killed.”
“You are truly mad. Haotian God acts against the natural order, putting personal interest above all, without regard for the life and death of living beings. He would discard us as easily as anything, yet you remain loyal to such a person. It’s both pathetic and laughable.”
Hu i had a face full of sorrow.
At this mont, Hu i felt nothing but sadness.
Why did I stop Sun Wukong from reporting to the Heavenly Court, bringing its experts to flatten the Sky Fox Race?
The Great Elder and the others killed my father, who wholeheartedly considered the well-being of the tribe. They all deserve to die.
Thinking of this, Hu i’s eyes burned with hatred as she looked at them.
