Zhu Ganglie realized that although his master Monk still possessed so emotional intelligence, his outdated ideas really couldn’t keep up with the tis. He seriously doubted whether this bald guy could ever charm a lady.
Following the main troop, they grandly entered the royal palace. Along the way, Tang Sanzang’s eyes were never idle—he glanced left, looked right, all the while muttering, "That one should be taken into the harem, and that one into the harem... This one looks good, that one works too... This one as a maid..." Stay tuned to empire
He wasn’t hiding his thoughts at all and just blurted them out, making everyone listening utterly speechless.
Although, in this era, polygamy was practiced, and emperors even more so with their multiple concubines.
In the eyes of the Cultivators, however, the majority still upheld monogamy—a lifeti devoted to one partner.
Zhu Ganglie and the others had never seen Tang Sanzang as an ordinary man, but Tang Sanzang himself seed unaware of this realization.
Upon entering the Golden Throne Hall, the ministers lined up on both sides; the Queen ascended to her throne, thinking, "Now that it’s co to this, surely my royal presence can overshadow you?"
To her surprise, when she turned around, she found that the bald guy wasn’t standing below but had followed her up.
The Queen asked in astonishnt, "You... What are you doing up here?"
Tang Sanzang confidently replied, "Coming up to sit."
The Queen imdiately flared up, "This is the throne!"
Tang Sanzang spread his hands and said, "I know. The thing is, you’re going to be my woman anyway, what’s the problem with sitting in your spot? If it weren’t for giving you face, I wouldn’t even sit here."
As soon as he said this, not just the Queen, but all the ministers below were enraged.
This bald audacity was just too insulting. What did he an by sitting there because of the Queen being his future woman? Did it an that their nation’s throne was so worthless?
Consequently, the ministers glared angrily at Tang Sanzang.
Unfortunately, Tang Sanzang was accustod to being the target of a thousand fingers, spurned by thousands; he was already used to being glared at by a crowd of people, so he simply ignored this small group’s angry stares.
The Queen took a deep breath and asked, "Are people from Great Tang Nation always this rude?"
Tang Sanzang shook his head and replied, "Don’t know, perhaps."
The Queen’s heart twisted, and she roared, "What do you an, ’don’t know’? Maybe? Aren’t you from Great Tang?"
Taking a deep breath, the Queen said through clenched teeth, "Tang Sanzang, I haven’t even said I’d marry you yet. We have no relationship at this point. I am the Queen, and you are a foreign guest!"
Tang Sanzang thought about it, and indeed that seed to be the case.
So Tang Sanzang stepped back.
Only then did the Queen breathe a sigh of relief and sat on the throne, her sharp phoenix eyes landing on Tang Sanzang, her heart full of mixed emotions.
This Monk was indeed handso, even his blank stare seed cute, but his behavior was bizarre, almost like an idiot’s.
If I marry an idiot, that would be rather embarrassing.
Yet, if I can’t even marry an idiot, that seems even more embarrassing...
While the Queen was deep in thought, Tang Sanzang was also muttering, "She is pretty, but her features twitch now and then as if she’s tending towards facial paralysis... Health is not good, could affect the offspring..."
Both individuals lost in their wayward thoughts.
Zhu Ganglie couldn’t hold back anymore, stepping forward he asked, "Hey, Your Majesty, are you marrying my master or not? Everyone’s waiting."
The Queen snapped back to reality, glared at Zhu Ganglie, then said to Tang Sanzang, "I can marry you, but thinking that I will marry you is impossible! I’m giving you one more chance, will you marry or not?"
Upon hearing this, Tang Sanzang’s stubborn side ca forth, and, shrugging off his shoulders, he exclaid, "You listen, I can marry you, but you asking to marry you? No chance!"
Then the two started glaring at each other again…
Barely perceptibly, electricity seed to spark between their eyes...
The Queen said, "Don’t think just because you’re good-looking, I will necessarily marry you!"
Tang Sanzang also yelled, "You too don’t think just because you’re good-looking, I will necessarily marry you!"
The Queen angrily retorted, "That’s my line!"
Tang Sanzang replied, "Just borrowing it, why so stingy?"
The Queen took a step forward, so did Tang Sanzang, as they stared down each other intensely.
The queen said, "Believe it or not, I’m not marrying you!"
Tang Sanzang chuckled, "Believe it or not, I’m not marrying you either!"
The queen angrily said, "You’re copying !"
Tang Sanzang defiantly replied, "So what if I am!"
The queen was so angry she could hardly breathe, and after a while, she gritted her teeth and asked:
"Are you really not marrying?"
"I only marry, never get married!" Tang Sanzang responded strongly.
The queen’s chest heaved up and down with anger, while Tang Sanzang was as frustrated as a tea-stained egg.
After a long pause...
Tang Sanzang counterasked, "So are you marrying or not?"
The queen chuckled, "Nope!"
Tang Sanzang took a deep breath, stamped his foot, and said, "Fine, forget it. There are so many girls in the nation, I’m not bound to marry only you!"
Having said that, Tang Sanzang turned to a female minister and asked, "Hey, would you marry ?"
The minister was completely flabbergasted and thought to herself, "What does their argunt have to do with , damn it?"
But staring at the handso man in front of her, her heart skipped a beat, yet glancing at the cold-eyed, teeth-gritting queen...
She swallowed and said, "Err... no."
Tang Sanzang then turned to a nearby guard, "What about you?"
The guard was utterly dumbfounded, "S-S-Sir, I am just a guard."
"I don’t care about status when I marry!" Tang Sanzang exclaid.
"Will you marry?" the queen interjected, her voice low and her eyes full of murderous intent.
The guard quickly said, "I follow the queen’s lead, I won’t marry."
Tang Sanzang’s face darkened, and he roared, "She didn’t say you couldn’t marry!"
The guard was scared to tears...
Resigned, Tang Sanzang pointed at a maid next to the queen, "How about you?"
The maid shook her head...
Tang Sanzang threw up his arms in frustration, "Damn it, if none of you will marry, I’ll go find soone who will!"
Having said that, the bald man strutted out while shouting, "Is there anyone who would like to marry this monk? I’m still single, a true virgin!"
Instantly, a chorus of won’s voices from outside the palace answered, "I will marry!"
The queen’s face was black as night!
Tang Sanzang turned around with a triumphant smile, "See? If you don’t cherish , plenty of others will. Disciples, let’s go flirt outside!"
Sun Wukong and the others hurriedly followed.
The queen panicked, now the whole world knew she wanted to woo Tang Sanzang. If this guy got away, wouldn’t it say she couldn’t handle a man? If he actually married soone else, her reputation would be utterly ruined.
The queen shouted, "Stop him!"
The guards imdiately moved forward to block Tang Sanzang’s path.
Tang Sanzang narrowed his eyes and looked back at the queen, "What now? Are you going to force ?"
The queen rolled up her sleeves and stepped onto the dais, "And what if I am?"
Tang Sanzang clenched his fists, his eyes filled with murderous fury, and roared, "Fine, I give in!"
