Once Tang Yin departed from her abode, Xu Yun wasted no ti in lingering. She swiftly made her way towards the heart of the sect, where her parents and Elder Liang were located.
Being a well-known figure within the Thousand Blossom Pavilion, Xu Yun faced no obstacles as she moved through its premises. Her recognizable identity granted her easy passage without any need for inquiries. However, upon reaching the innermost area of the sect, she had to present her token that designated her as a Holy Daughter.
Arriving at the central structure of the Thousand Blossom Pavilion, she was greeted by a respectful nod from the guarding disciples who promptly opened the door for her to enter.
The guarding disciples were well accustod to Xu Yun’s frequent visits to the building, especially to see her mother. This occasion was no exception.
Navigating through the familiar corridors, Xu Yun reached a door adorned with intricate plum blossom carvings and decorations, unmistakably marking the residence of the Orchid Blossom Saintess.
Without knocking, Xu Yun quickly barged in.
Upon entering, Xu Yun was t with the sight of her stunning mother, Wan i. With her flowing silver hair and captivating features, Wan i gazed at her daughter with an affectionate smile. She had already sensed Xu Yun’s approach with her divine sense, so her arrival wasn’t a surprise.
"What’s on your mind, my dear Yun’er?" Wan i inquired with a warm smile, sipping her tea gracefully.
Xu Yun’s expression turned determined as she replied, "Mother, I need to talk to both Father and Uncle Liang. It’s sothing important."
Wan i’s surprise was evident, but she responded, "Your father is currently in a eting with the Pavilion Master, and Uncle Liang is likely busy with administrative matters in his mansion."
Xu Yun’s smile grew cheeky, "Can you ask them to co here? I have sothing significant to discuss."
Wan i raised an eyebrow, "Is this about a breakthrough in your cultivation? Have you made progress again?" She used her divine sense to assess Xu Yun’s aura but couldn’t discern any imdiate changes.
"I won’t reveal anything until Father and Uncle Liang are here." Xu Yun said with a playful pout, finding a seat to wait.
"Both of them are deeply imrsed in their work, you know. If this isn’t sothing critical, you might receive a good scolding." Wan i warned with a playful yet cautionary tone, trying to make her daughter reconsider.
However, Xu Yun remained steadfast. She was well aware of the importance of what she had to share and believed it was worth the interruption.
Witnessing the unyielding determination in her daughter’s expression, Wan i couldn’t help but sigh. Reluctantly, she extended her divine sense to Xu Cheng and Elder Liang, requesting their presence in her residence.
Despite their initial hesitation due to their busy schedules, the ntion of Xu Yun waiting for them prompted both n to change their minds. They promptly left their tasks and made their way to Wan i’s residence.
Arriving nearly simultaneously, they entered the residence. While Xu Cheng approached Wan i, Elder Liang directed his attention towards Xu Yun.
Wan i humorously rolled her eyes at the synchronized entrance.
"Yun’er has sothing important to share with us. She requested all three of us to be here." Wan i explained, casting a glance at Xu Yun and gesturing for her to proceed.
Xu Cheng and Elder Liang, both intrigued by the unusual summons, awaited Xu Yun’s words with curiosity.
"Mother, you always told that I should leave the Pavilion and gain so experience, right?" Xu Yun began, gauging her mother’s reaction before continuing.
Wan i’s eyes brightened, and she nodded in affirmation, sensing the direction of Xu Yun’s thoughts. Xu Cheng and Elder Liang also had an idea about where the conversation was headed. After all, they had both encouraged Xu Yun to gain so cultivation experience outside the Pavilion on previous occasions.
"Well, after giving it a lot of thought, I’ve made a decision. I want to venture out of the Pavilion and challenge a Principle Step Demonic Beast!" Xu Yun lifted her chin, wearing a proud smile as if she had already accomplished the feat and was awaiting praise.
"That sounds wonderful! And of course, I won’t let you go alone. I’ll accompany you." Wan i exclaid with joy. It was a rare occasion when her daughter took her advice seriously, making this mont even more special.
"That’s great news, but did you really need to gather us 2 here just to tell us this? You could have inford us after the deed was done." Xu Cheng interjected, exchanging an awkward glance with Elder Liang, wondering about the purpose of their presence here.
"Of course, Mother, I understand your strength well. However, embarking on this journey will mark a significant step in my cultivation path." As she said this, she turned to her father, Xu Cheng. "I want those closest to to witness it. With both Uncle Liang and you, Father, beside , it will be a montous occasion." Xu Yun explained, dashing over to Elder Liang and grasping his sleeve, her eyes wide and glistening with a hint of watery charm. Her expression was impossible to resist.
Elder Liang and Xu Cheng exchanged a knowing glance. They understood that resisting Xu Yun’s request was futile, it was better to just start preparations right now.
However, Xu Cheng, a powerful cultivator in the Peak-stage of the Principle Manipulation Realm, had so doubts in his mind. He subtly extended his divine sense to scan Xu Yun’s body, a process that Xu Yun remained completely unaware of.
Elder Liang, who was not Xu Yun’s parent, refrained from using his divine sense in this situation, as it would be awkward and unnatural. Instead, he relied on Xu Cheng to investigate and alleviate any doubts he had.
Xu Cheng’s careful scan covered Xu Yun’s body, even sensing her aura. Fortunately, he found nothing unusual, which relieved his concerns.
Given their status as Principle Manipulation Realm powerhouses, all three of them were naturally sensitive and cautious about various matters. This was particularly true in Xu Yun’s case, as she was about to embark on a new experience.
After completing his assessnt, Xu Cheng withdrew his divine sense and telepathically reassured Wan i and Elder Liang that everything seed fine.
Xu Cheng refrained from probing Xu Yun’s soul with his divine sense. He understood the potential risks of such an action, as the intrusion of his powerful divine sense into her soul could inadvertently cause harm. Even though his intention was not to cause harm, his experience and wisdom guided him to avoid unnecessary risks.
In essence, Xu Cheng, Elder Liang and Wan i’s suspicions were a result of their cautious nature, a quality that had been honed over thousands of years of cultivation.
"Don’t worry, we’ll join you as well." Elder Liang comforted Xu Yun, patting her head to reassure her that both he and Xu Cheng were willing to accompany her on her journey.
"Yay! Let’s go now!" Xu Yun exclaid excitedly, already halfway out the door.
"Yes, right now?" The three of them exchanged incredulous looks. Wasn’t ’right now’ a bit too sudden?
"Yes, I’ve already selected my target and gathered all the necessary information. We should leave imdiately before the target moves." Xu Yun’s voice was fading as she moved farther away from the residence.
The three adults exchanged helpless glances.
Undertaking the task themselves, slaying a Principle Step Demonic Beast would likely take less than 20 minutes if all factors were counted.
However, with Xu Yun in tow, factoring in the complexities of tracking down the beast, engaging in combat, and more, the endeavour could stretch over a day or more.
After all, they acknowledged that for this to truly serve as a valuable cultivation experience for Xu Yun, she needed to navigate the challenges on her own. Their involvent would only occur if her life was in imminent danger or if she faced a threat beyond her capacity to handle.
Despite this awareness, they were left feeling powerless. They were well acquainted with Xu Yun’s stubborn nature. All their past attempts to change her mind had rarely succeeded unless they took direct action themselves.
However, those passing thoughts and emotions were brief, fleeting monts. All three of them were responsible adults. Despite their busy schedules, they could spare a day to accompany Xu Yun on a valuable cultivation experience.
Quickly, they caught up to Xu Yun. Wan i enveloped her in her Spirit Qi, and they flew toward the Array Formation surrounding the Thousand Blossom Pavilion. As they approached, the Array Formation opened up to create a small passage, allowing all four of them to pass through comfortably side by side.
"So, where is this Principle Step Demonic Beast located?" Wan i inquired as she released Xu Yun from her Spirit Qi. From now on, they would be following Xu Yun’s lead. Everything would depend on her own senses and abilities.
With a charming smile, Xu Yun announced, "Broken Tooth Mountain."
