On the platform, Tang Yin’s expression of pain disappeared, and he swiftly opened his eyes.

Tian Huang was taken aback.

"Looks like I am still alive, I’ve passed the sixth trial, right?" Tang Yin seed to be talking to himself but also to Tian Huang at the sa ti.

"Yes..." Tian Huang uttered subconsciously in shock. Normally whenever a cultivator’s expression changed to one of pain, they would be facing death in their dream which would also result in their death in the real world.

Tang Yin examined his body, there was nothing abnormal. He then looked towards Scattered Soul Daoist. He was alive but asleep. He was still imrsed in the dream world.

Judging from his experience, Tang Yin had a profound grasp of the effects of the Dream Life Berry.

’It can put a cultivator to sleep and make them lucid dream of a parallel world. They will not retain their mories. If they die within the dream world, they should also die within the real world. The only way to wake up from the dream is by rembering their mories and true self.’ Tang Yin thought to himself.

’I would have died without the interference of the Heaven Devouring Abyss. But I did not control it, it moved of its own accord. Does that an it has its own will and consciousness?’ Tang Yin speculated. He did not rember the existence of the Heaven Devouring Abyss during his dream. He did not have a way to communicate or control it.

Forcing down his speculations and theories, he looked towards Tian Huang. "Senior, what are the chances of waking up from the dream induced by the Dream Life Berry?"

Tian Huang gave Tang Yin a very deep look, this youngster had surpassed his expectations ti and ti again. "The chances of waking up differ for everyone, it mainly depends on one’s experience of life." He slowly explained to Tang Yin.

’Scattered Soul Daoist is an old man who has probably lived for 10,000 years, his experience of life should be abundant.’ Tang Yin grimly thought to himself. He then recalled Tian Huang ntioning many previous Spirit Ascension Realm cultivators failing the sixth trial.

"Senior, how long was I dreaming for?" Tang Yin questioned.

"Not long, only a minute. The amount of ti spent in the dream world is akin to only a few minutes in the real world." Tian Huang gave a full explanation to erase Tang Yin’s doubts.

A few minutes passed. Pain appeared on Scattered Soul Daoist face. He coughed up a mouthful of blood and fell back. He died!

Tang Yin looked at Scattered Soul Daoist’s corpse without any change in his expression, but he was inwardly shocked. Although he had expected him to die, he did not think a Spirit Ascension Realm cultivator could die so easily.

"Senior, the inheritance should be mine now right?" Tang Yin wanted to confirm, he was afraid of Tian Huang pulling out a few more trials out of nowhere. He had just escaped death thanks to the Heaven Devouring Abyss. He did not believe he would be so lucky next ti.

Scattered Soul Daoist’s body was encompassed in a ball of golden light before being dragged into the Tempest Palace and disappearing, Tang Yin looked at this with pity. If he could absorb Scattered Soul Daoist’s Spirit Fla, he could easily form another 2 Spirit Flas and reach the 3rd stage of the Qi Transformation Realm.

"You are the only one left. Naturally, you shall be my successor." Tian Huang responded with a smile. After countless millennia, he had finally found a successor to inherit his legacy.

"Tang Yin, are you willing to beco this old man’s disciple?" Tian Huang straightened his robes, took the posture of a dignified man and spoke in an awe-inspiring voice.

"I am willing." Tang Yin knelt down, he kowtowed three tis to Tian Huang.

"Disciple greets master!" Tang Yin then cupped his fist in his palm and bowed deeply to Tian Huang and addressed him formally.

Tian Huang threw his head up and laughed with joy. "Good, everything this old man has shall now belong to you."

Tian Huang teleported next to Tang Yin and grabbed his shoulder. Then the duo vanished amid a flash of golden light.

When Tang Yin opened his eyes and surveyed his surroundings, he was perplexed. He and Tian Huang were in a white space. There was nothing in this white space, it was completely empty. It was exactly similar to how a void would appear but instead in a white colour.

He did not speak though, he only silently looked towards Tian Huang.

"Do you know what they call in the outside world?" Tian Huang suddenly asked.

"Disciple does not know." Tang Yin replied honestly with confusion in his heart. He did not know why Tian Huang would suddenly bring this up.

Tian Huang did not expect Tang Yin to know this, it had been way too long for anyone of the newer generation to know of him. He slowly spoke with a prideful voice.

"In the Bright Yang Continent, all those who heard of my na would turn pale with fear and terror."

"My na would induce fear in every being who heard of it."

"They call , Flowing Blood Demon."
