The next morning, after taking a shower, Shichen returned to the main world.
Elaina still hadn't gotten up yet, though it was about ti, so he decided to make breakfast first and surprise her.
Upstairs, Elaina opened her eyes and looked at the now-familiar ceiling. She stretched without the slightest bit of grace.
The bed was a total ss from all her tossing and turning.
In a great mood, she got up and headed off to wash up.
"Shichen, are you awake yet~?" Elaina asked through their telepathic link when she got to the bathroom.
She squeezed toothpaste onto her brush and started brushing, but still didn't get a reply from him.
Was he still asleep?
Thinking that, Elaina smiled to herself and decided not to wake him.
After all, only by getting enough sleep would he have the energy to have fun later.
They were going on a date today.
A movie, good food, milk tea, buying clothes… she'd been looking forward to it for ages. She'd even carefully looked up dating tips for this world last night.
She'd gone to bed late, but she was still full of energy now.

Sure enough, there really was noise downstairs—the sizzle of food cooking. She could even sll it.

Overjoyed, Elaina ran downstairs and saw the figure she wasn't very familiar with yet but could no longer forget.
"Shichen, you…?" Elaina bead, her face full of delighted surprise.
"You're up early. Morning," Shichen greeted her with a smile.
"Morning… no, wait, why are you back?!" Elaina couldn't help asking, unable to stop smiling.
Of course she could guess why he'd co back, but she still wanted to hear him say it.
"What, I'm not allowed to co back?"
"Of course you are… but why so suddenly?"
"What do you think the reason is?" Shichen asked back.
"How would I know sothing like that?" Elaina shot back shyly.
"Alright, since you don't know, I'll just tell you. I wanted to have breakfast with you. Is that okay?"
"Mm…" Elaina was so excited she almost jumped, barely holding herself back.
"O-of course it is."
"Then look forward to my cooking."
"Okay~"
Without even going back upstairs to change, Elaina sat down at the table in her white nightgown and watched him make breakfast.
She looked completely focused, a smile on her lips, quietly gazing at Shichen as he cooked.
The atmosphere was peaceful. Aside from the sounds of frying, neither of them said anything, and they simply enjoyed the quiet together.
Before long, Shichen finished breakfast. He plated everything, carried two dishes over to the table, and set one in front of Elaina and one in front of himself.
"Kept you waiting, huh? Go ahead and try it," he said softly, pulling Elaina out of the daze she'd fallen into while staring at him.
"Okay…"
Blushing, Elaina quickly looked away. She leaned closer to the plate, breathing in the aroma, mouth already watering.
"What are these?"
"Flower dragon tail at, king crab leg at, and steak."
"What's flower dragon? And what's king crab?" Those two she hadn't seen before.
"I can show you next ti."
"Then it's a promise," Elaina said at once.
"It's a promise. Oh, and your nightgown is really cute."
"At a ti like this…" Elaina flushed even harder.
"Heh. Eat first. It won't taste as good once it gets cold. After that, we'll go watch the movie."
"Mm!"

After breakfast, Elaina changed into stylish clothes, looking youthful, lively, and stunning.
The two of them left the café together and headed toward the city center.
They didn't take the train. They walked.
On the way, Elaina kept glancing at his arm.
"What's wrong?" Shichen noticed.
"Well…" Elaina hesitated.
"Need the bathroom?"
"Of course not!" Elaina snapped, annoyed.
"Heh, I'm kidding." Shichen held out his arm.
"So you knew what I ant…" Elaina pouted, shot him an embarrassed glare, then looped her arm through his.
"Don't get the wrong idea. This is just sothing people do on dates."
"Sure." Shichen smiled.
The two of them kept walking side by side, taking in the sights, dazzling passersby as they went, until they reached the city center.
Shichen bought Elaina an ice cream, then the two of them headed into the theater to pick a movie and buy tickets.
The movie Elaina had ntioned really was a romance, and there were quite a few couples at the theater coming to watch it.
The next showing started in a little over ten minutes, so they didn't have to wait long.
Shichen took Elaina with him to buy drinks and popcorn.
She hadn't bought any last ti, but this ti she wanted so.
Once they had everything, it was ti to line up and go in.
The seats Shichen picked were off in a corner, with no one around them.
Elaina was thrilled, staring at the giant screen in eager anticipation.
This ti, she wasn't here alone.
Soon the movie started, and the whole theater quieted down to watch.
Shichen munched on popcorn and sipped soda, planning to relax and enjoy the movie too.
The story actually involved ti travel—a male lead from the future and a female lead from the past.
I was not yet born when you were, and by the ti I was born, you had already grown old.
A premise like that was bound to end in tragedy.
Still, there were also plenty of sweet and intimate monts in the middle.

It was flattened where she'd bitten it.
"What?" Shichen asked after drinking, glancing at her in confusion.
"Nothing…" Elaina looked at the slightly bent straw he'd used and shook her head shyly.
"You still want it?"
"No…"
"Then I'll keep drinking it."
"..."
Too embarrassed to look at him, Elaina turned back to the screen—
only to find the movie moving into an even more intense romantic scene.
Around them, people had stopped watching and were holding each other.
The sounds made Elaina's heart itch in a strange way.
"Elaina."
Hearing him call her na, she turned toward him.
"What is it—mmph!"
Elaina froze.
Shichen's face was suddenly right in front of hers.
He had kissed her.
So suddenly.
She didn't resist in the slightest.
And then he went even further, wrapping an arm around her and deepening the kiss.
Her mind went completely blank. She couldn't move at all, only stare into his eyes.
