After placing the pokemon fossil on the revival machine, the scientist started to do their magic, the two scientists started to run a program that is based on genetic code, Julian waited and watched as the old man who is also the chief of this lab took control over the machine.
The machine started and white light covered the whole capsule, Julian looked at the screen and saw a representation of DNA strands being split and fused together, Julian was impressed by this and looked more into it.
As he saw this a doubt rose inside his head, he always wondered why all fossil pokemons have a rock typing, it could not be possible that all pokemons that were extinct millions of years ago were rock types.
Julian "I have a question?"
Old Man "What is it?"
Julian "Why are all fossil pokemons rock type or have a rock typing?"
Old Man "Well it's because they are revived from fossils, during the ti these pokemons were alive and thriving, they had different typing in the past, but after their death, their remaining have been invaded by earth materials, so they always have a rock typing, not because they were rock type pokemons but because their DNA has been fused with earth material over millions of years.
The current technology is not advanced enough to split these materials to bring our their true typing, but it is not sothing impossible because technology is improving at an extre rate, or if one can also find a fossil that has not been invaded by these earthly materials, one can maybe revive an ancient pokemon with its true typing"
The old man gave a deep explanation to this, Julian understood this and nodded his head, it made sense, maybe to so ancient pokemons this might be a huge advantage, gaining a new rock typing, it gives them good defense and attack stats, so if a special of ancient pokemon lacked these stats, if they are revived, they might have an advantage or disadvantage.
No one knows how it will affect them.
Julian continued to watch as the white light started to brighten up more filling up the entire room, all the scientist present in the room looked at the revival machine and waited for the pokemon to revive, soon the light started to fade away and Julian could see the outline of a small reptile/bird inside the capsule.
Once the light completely faded away, it revealed the pokemon inside the capsule that has been just revived, an Archen. Julian got really excited as he saw this pokemon, in real life it looked much better than those he has seen in the picture.
Its lizard-like head with small teeth peaking out of its mouth, it's big bird eyes and its body covered with feathers, standing about 50 cm tall, this is the Archen he wanted and he got lucky to find one.
The Archen looked around the room and saw weird beings in front of it, it was its first ti seeing anything in this world and it was surrounded by beings that didn't look like it at all, it then saw a being walk towards it with a smile and for so reason, it felt happier, the aura around this being was much present and welcoming compared to the others surrounding it.
Julian picked up the Archen and looked at it to check its sex.
Julian "It's a male"
He said but it didn't matter, when it cos to pokemon there is no difference compared to male and female, there are only a few special of pokemon that show physical or size difference but the rest is all the sa.
To Julian, the sex of a pokemon didn't matter, he could train any gender to their best limit, the Archen seems happy to be around Julian, being just a newborn, the aura around Julian made it feel happy and protected under him so it got attached to Julian very quickly.
Julian then turned towards the old man and thanked him while Archen in his hand, after paying the lab Julian walked out of the lab while looking at his new pokemon who is also looking back at him with his bird eyes.
He has big round eyes but his pupils are so small that it makes him look like a goof, Julian smiled and decided to go catch another pokemon for his team that can be found in this town, his other purpose to co to this side of the region was to catch pokemon as well.
He got lucky and found two pokemons that joined his team and he wants one more before he heads towards the west side of the region.
While he was looking at his phone to see where this pokemon he is looking for can be found, Archen started to peck his phone screen, as a phone was also sothing very mysterious to a baby pokemon and anything that he saw grabbed his attention and piqued his interest.
Julian just smiled seeing this, and continued his search, Crystal who was sleeping woke up and noticed another new presence around it, it popped its head out and found a weird-looking pokemon in Julian's hand.
Crystal got excited and ca right in front of Archen and startled him, Crystal approached Archen and gave it a tiny hug as it already knew that this is its new friend amongst its growing friend list.
Archen also liked the little hug and suddenly chomped down on Crystal's tiny head, Crystal was startled and tried to get out without hurting Archen, Julian saw this and laughed, he helped Crystal get out of Archen's jaw.
It looks like Crystal is upset as it went back inside Julian's pocket with puffed cheeks.
Julian smiled and looked at his phone finally finding a suitable place to find his next pokemon.
