Even though these numbers in their record don't seem that important but they actually are very important, with more popularity cos more money, being in the number one position ans product related to their nas gets sold more and a percentage of that profit goes to the Elite Four mbers.
This is another way the Elite Four make their money, even though the league pays them a lot, it might still not be enough and they get approached by many companies to endorse their products, being number one will bring them more fans and these fans will buy more products.
Even though Elite Four is not as famous as Champions they still have a lot of fans all around the world, even Julian had gone through this process, the reason his company beca so successful is because of his image and reputation and the more league he won, the more fans he got and more people wanted to buy stuff related to Julian.
Julian could imagine one of his fans going all out and buying anything that has the na Julian on it, from wall posters to underwear, they would even buy the fake one who illegally makes them profit from Julian's na.
Well, it is true, so of his fans do so, they are the sa as so hardcore weebs who decorate their whole room only with things related to Julian.
This battle between Caitlin and Shauntal is also very big as the one who looses will not have much effect but the winner might get a big check on their na because many companies will co forward to sponsor them and endorse their products.
No matter how much these big people say that money doesn't matter in their life, they know it does and they will always welco extra money, with more money they will be able to continue living their current lifestyle.

It looks like they are spending a lot to promote this battle, Julian didn't notice about this because he was first in the Black city then he spent a whole week inside forest and camping on his way to Undella town, this is a big battle and this doesn't seem to be the only one as well.
There will be four battles between the Elite Fours and this battle is to determine the ranking for the upcoming league, while the Champion has the highest rank, soone needs to be right behind him in rankings.
So at the end of the league, the person who is rank two will get a chance to challenge the champion for his position if they are able to defeat the winner of the league.
Julian has already changed his attire and put on his blue jacket and a black beanie hat covering his head and a pair of sunglasses as well, as Julian walked past so people he heard his na being spoken.
He realized that many people are expecting Julian to co here and check out the battle between the two elite fours as he has been seen in these type of occasions before, even if it's just a rumor people are here to find Julian and even if they don't find him they will still be able to witness a good battle between two powerful trainers.
