Julian soon found himself in front of a huge battlefield, the battlefield is filled with pillars on the side and few in the middle, a very acrobatic pokemon can easily dominate the battlefield using these pillars.
He saw Paul also entering the room and saw him sit down on the audience seat, Julian looked at him once and then started to look around the gym once again, he wanted to see what he could use to Cranidos's advantage, Cranidos has trained hard, his attack has skyrocketed and his speed is also not lacking behind, what he really lacks now is special defense while his physical defense is just average, enough to take on hits.
Due to the nature of Cranidos's energy building up his special defense is hard so Julian decided to focus on other things, such as his speed as it can be a much better companion for Cranidos's attack power.
Julian didn't have to wait long as Maylene soon walked in with her Lucario by her side, Julian looked at her and got into his position.
Maylene looked around and saw another person on the audience section, she didn't mind a visitor who is going to watch her battle, she even suspected this one to also be a challenger as well.
Seeing that Julian has already taken his position Maylene didn't waste her ti and also took her position, as soon as she took her position an old man walked out and stood in the referee's position.
He is the official referee of this gym.
Referee "This will be a three on three pokemon battle, only the challenger is allowed to switch pokemon during the battle, the one who will have no pokemon at the end will lose"
The old referee said in a rough voice, even though the sentence was short the ti he too was long, it didn't matter to Julian as he waited patiently for the referee to finish saying what he is saying.
Referee "Both of you may choose your pokemons"
With the referee's command, both Julian and Maylene took out their Pokeball.
Maylene "ditite, I choose you"
Maylene sent her ditite as her first pokemon.
Julian "Cranidos let's go"
Julian said and tossed Cranidos's Pokeball up in the air.
Both pokemon ca out and stood on the battlefield.
Both Maylene and Paul are surprised by Julian's choice.
Paul 'Why would he even choose Cranidos, from what I have seen, he has much better pokemons that can take on her Fighting-type pokemons'
Paul thought but stayed quite.
Maylene "A very bold move"
Julian "Its better that way, Cranidos needs so pressure"
Julian said nothing after.
Maylene "As you wish, we will show you the result of looking down on my fighting type gym"
Referee "Let the battle being"
As the referee gave the signal Maylene made her first move.
Maylene "ditite use ditate"
Maylene started off by trying to increase ditite's attack stats.
Julian "As if I will let you do that, Cranidos, Ancient Power"
Cranidos created miniature rocks circling around him with his power, he then shot it towards ditite with all his force causing ditite to get out of its ditation state and dodge the rocks, it was unlucky to react slow and got hit by one of the rocks.
ditite rolled back in the air but straightened itself up using its Psychic power.
Maylene "We won't go down so easily, ditite use Drain Punch"
With this ditite rushed towards Cranidos at an extrely fast pace, using its psychic power it is able to cover more ground easily, it appears right in front of Cranidos to deliver the Drain Punch.
Julian "Cranidos move to right"
As Julian said so, Cranidos did the famous move perford by Gible every ti, just hoping to the right with one leg and bending his body a little, as it is a very short distance move it is very fast and Cranidos easily dodged the Drain Punch.
Julian "Now Iron Tail"
Maylene "Quick Guard"
Cranidos used the sa leg as a pivot to turn around a swing his tail towards ditite using Iron Tail but due to Maylene's fast reaction she commanded ditite to put on a Quick Guard, the Iron Tail landed but on an invisible barrier, ditite is just pushed away and not hurt.
But Julian just won't stop there, he is a champion, like amateurs he won't stop attacking if he has a chance to attack.
Julian "Now, Head Butt"
With Julian's command, Cranidos uses his powerful legs and shoots towards ditite, with all the hell of training he went through to strengthen his legs to the extre, there is no way he is slower than ditite.
ditite is caught by surprise by this sudden attack from Cranidos, it didn't even get the chance to adjust itself and another attack is heading towards it.
Maylene "ditite use Quick Guard again"
Maylene once again acted fast and called out Quick Guard, the more a Quick Guard is used the less effective it becos, it's just like Protect but it activates way faster, its the best move to counter moves like extre speed or Bullet Punch.
Cranidos just crashes into the protective force field with all the power he had with that Head Butt completely shattering the invisible forcefield, but he still gets stopped by it, that doesn't an he didn't cause damage.
Just from the sheer force of that attack ditite is sent rolling backward and crashes into one of the poles hard and hits the back of its head to get confused by it.
Julian "Now finish it, Iron Head"
With this command, Cranidos uses his powerful legs to sprint once again, as his legs drag through the round ground leaving behind a trail of smoke and the shining iron energy on the do of his head, Cranidos looks like a huge bullet.
Maylene "ditite, dodge"
Maylene commands ditite to move away but ditite is confused by getting hit behind its head, it didn't even notice as Cranidos just smashes through it and blasts it into the sa pillar and this ti planting it inside.
Referee "ditite is unable to battle Cranidos wins".
