"But... I liked him first."

The admission hung in the room like a grenade waiting to explode.

Even Sky was stunned by the words that had just left his mouth.

Rain’s face contorted in disbelief. "What... did you just say?"

"I never tried to stop Chris from getting close to you because I wanted him for myself," he explained calmly, though every word sliced through his own composure. "I would never do that to you, Rain. You are quite aware that I warn every guy I know to stay away from yo—"

"You... liked him first?" she cut in, her voice sharp with shock.

Sky clenched his fists. His head was pounding, but there was no turning back now.

The words had already slipped out and it was too late to deny them.

Rain’s laugh was bitter, almost hysterical. "Sky, you’re engaged! You’re the one who suddenly showed up one day and said you wanted to be engaged with i. No one said a damn thing! And now you’re telling you like Chris?"

He winced. His chest was tight, and his head was beginning to hurt even more. "Can we talk about this later? Please."

Rain’s eyes flared with raw fury. "He’s a dude! Like you! Are you insane?" she yelled, her voice echoing off the walls.

Sky’s heart raced. The words stung, but not because they were surprising—because they carried all the weight of what he had reminded himself countless tis.

More than he could rember.

Her voice cracked as she pressed on. "Dad already keeps hounding you to take out your piercings so you don’t ’co off like that homosexual friend of yours.’ And now you’re actually going fully into being one?"

He knew it was not her intention to insult Henry, but rather remind him of the trouble he was getting himself into, but his gaze sharpened.

"Rain!"

The air between them was nearly suffocating as they stared at each other heatedly. However, Sky’s face flushed with a mix of anger and sha, but he kept his gaze steady.

"I know you’re pissed," he said through clenched teeth. "And we can talk about this. But right now—"

He paused, scrambling to think, to find words that would diffuse the explosion. But his mind was a chaotic ss.

Rain’s voice cracked through the tension. "What the hell are you going to say that fixes this, Sky?" Her words were razor-sharp, cutting through the thick air between them. "That you’re confused? That it was just one kiss? Because I saw that look on your face—you weren’t confused at all. And you already admitted you like him!" Her eyes glead with bitter betrayal.

Sky opened his mouth but found no words. None that would matter.

The disappointnt in Rain’s eyes was suffocating.

"As usual," she began bitterly, "you’re selfish. You never care about anyone but yourself. You always do this! Always."

"Selfish?" Sky repeated in disbelief. His voice broke with incredulity. "Are you seriously calling selfish?"

"YES!" she exploded. "You don’t care how your actions affect others—i, , Mum, Dad, even Chris! You just do as you please. Like you’ve always done since we were kids."

Sky’s anger flared, his voice sharp. "Since we were kids? Do you even know what you’re talking about?" His chest rose and fell with frustration. "When have I ever been selfish? I’ve done everything this family expects of . Everything to make everyone happy—"

"How funny!" Rain interjected with a bitter laugh. "To make everyone happy? Or to make yourself look good?"

"I have never done anything for myself!" he shot back, voice shaking with fury.

"Just... shut up!" she scread, tears welling in her eyes. Her voice cracked, raw with years of bottled frustration. "You’ve always been the sa—a selfish bastard. Always trying to look pathetic so everyone would care for you and love you. And where does that leave ? I’m the strong, independent twin no one ever cared about—"

"Are you insane?" Sky’s voice rose, his disbelief palpable. "You’re the one everyone thinks is perfect!"

"Yeah, right? Who did Auntie prefer to live with her? Who’s Mum always worried about? Even when Grandma was alive, who did she care for? You! Always you!" Her voice broke on the last word, trembling with anguish.

Sky’s face contorted in pain, disbelief cutting through his anger. "Why are you even looking at it that way?" His voice faltered. "You think it was a blessing? I tried—God, I tried so hard to be the perfect son, hoping they’d stop smothering . Did you know how that made feel? Like I was in prison. I couldn’t breathe. I was always terrified of doing the wrong thing. Still am! And you think I had it better? You—who could live without all that pressure, who had freedom?"

Rain let out a bitter laugh, tears spilling down her face but she quickly cleaned it away. "Freedom? Perfect? Don’t try to fool yourself, Sky. You know what you’re doing. Stop pretending to be this pathetic loser. It’s exhausting."

Sky’s throat tightened as her words struck him like blows. "What the hell is wrong with you?" His voice cracked with both hurt and rage.

By now, they were raising their voices.

Rain spat, voice growing louder. "Maybe—just maybe—you should finally think about how your actions affect the people around you. And maybe you should really think about what Dad’s going to do when he finds out about your new-found sexuality." Her words hung in the air like a death knell.

Sky froze, his breath hitching at Rain’s brutal words.

Before he could respond, the door burst open, and both Noel and Henry stord in, their faces grim.

"What the fuck is wrong with you two?" Noel’s voice was sharp with fury. "You’re siblings. SIBLINGS! And you’re fighting... over what? A boy?"

Henry tugged at Noel’s arm, trying to calm him down. "Dude, chill—"

But Noel shook him off, his anger blazing. "No, seriously! For a guy who probably doesn’t give a shit about either of you? Fine, he’s good-looking—I’ll give him that—but what the hell is making you two act this crazy?"

Rain wiped her face angrily and snapped, "This is about more than just Chris!"

"But he’s the genesis of this madness right now!" Noel shot back. "You know what? Both of you—get out." He pointed at the door, his face set in stone.

"Oh, co on!" Henry protested, stepping forward to diate.

"No! Get out!" Noel barked, his voice thunderous as his gaze shifted between the siblings. "Maybe when you two co to your senses and realize that family is more important than any stupid boy, you’re welco to return to my apartnt."

"I don’t even want to return to your stupid apartnt," Rain spat before storming out, slamming the door behind her.

Sky gathered his things, ready to follow, but then Noel opened the door and peeked out of the room, craning his neck to ensure Rain was gone. Once satisfied, he exhaled heavily and closed the door before collapsing onto the floor.

"She’s scary," Noel muttered, pressing a hand to his chest.

Henry stared at him in disbelief, realizing he had been acting just now. "What the hell, man? You scared !"

"I had to do sothing to get her out," Noel said breathlessly. "It sounded way too intense in here." He looked up at Sky, who was zipping his bag after gathering his things.

"Hey," Noel said softly. "You don’t have to leave. I just needed to defuse the bomb before she blew this entire place up. But seriously... what the hell is going on?"

Sky’s voice was raw, heavy with exhaustion. "Can I... not talk right now?"

Noel nodded, his face softening. "Yeah, man. Just... don’t disappear, okay?"

But Sky was already heading towards the door with his bag.

"Sato, seriously? You’re still leaving?" Henry asked.

Sky gave no response. But it was clear he was.

Henry’s brows furrowed. "You’re not thinking of going to Chris right now, are you?"

"What else am I supposed to do? Leave the guy confused after I took advantage of him in front of everyone like a disgusting pervert?"

Noel blinked, completely bewildered. "You’re worried about Chris’s confusion? Dude, you’re the one with a fiancée and a sister ready to burn down the planet!"

Henry crossed his arms, disbelief etched on his face. "Are you seriously prioritizing Chris right now when you’ve got a mountain of issues piled up? Rain, your family, i—your entire life’s a ss, man. And we need to think of how to fix it. Now."

Sky’s gaze hardened. "I’ll fix them later. But right now, I need to et with Chris."

And with that, he slung his bag over his shoulder and strode toward the door.

Henry made a futile attempt to grab his arm. "Sky—wait! Just—"

But he opened the door and closed it, leaving the two friends inside.

Noel let out a long breath, his arms dropping to his sides. "He’s really in love with Chris, isn’t he?"

Henry’s shoulders slumped. His voice was barely above a whisper. "I’m starting to get REALLY really worried, man."
