Jinn felt it—the feeling of standing in front of a monster as the air thickened with the sheer force of the man's presence—prodding Jinn to flinch.

Urging him to Fear.

Yet he didn't, his jaw tight, and his eyes were steady.

Not even a blink.

"Apprentice? I'm no one's apprentice." Jinn replied with a scoff—before furrowing his brows. "And Venedix is my enemy."

The sounds of whispers and murmurs filled the air at the sight of the ongoing confrontation—a mber of House Sorellia—Zendrell himself had approached Jinn, the rumored apprentice of Venedix.

anwhile, the old noble that Jinn had struck earlier staggered to his feet, swaying as he wiped the blood from his face.

"D-Damned Brat!" exclaid the noble before approaching Zendrell—rubbing his hands together nervously.

"This boy had struck Master Zendrell—in the na of the empire, he must die!" he exclaid.

Not taking his eyes off Jinn—Zendrell scoffed as he completely ignores the noble man.

Zendrell tilted his head to crack his neck.

"Let's see if you are—or if you are not her apprentice shall we?"

He then reached over his shoulder and gripped the long hilt of the massive blade strapped to his back. In one fluid motion, the humongous sword tore free—its massive massive blade creating a crimson gleam that made a contrast to the cold atmosphere.

Flexing his one arm, Zendrell brought the sword downwards for a strike, it created a whistle through the air as it made a brutal arc from up above.

"Tch!" Jinn clicked his tongue before instinctively raising both of his arms to block the incoming strike with his blade.

With a loud and deafening clang, Jinn t the incoming strike with his blade—crimson steel crashing against crimson steel as a thunderous shockwave of dust erupted around them—rippling through the ground and sending a shockwave of air towards both the slaves and nobles.

The rest of Jinn's friends stood shocked and in awe as to what just happened.

Due to the force that had just befallen him, Jinn's ears and nose started to spurt blood. Despite that, his fingers remained tight around the hilt of his sword.

"Kill him—Kill the brat!" The old noble snarked while laughing at Jinn.

Zendrell then retracted his sword for a brief mont—seemingly giving Jinn ti to breath.

After a while, Zendrell raised his sword once again, before laughing.

"Haha! Here cos another one!"

Zendrell once again striked Jinn's sword, as if testing his endurance.

The strike was even more powerful than the first one, making Jinn's knees tremble and buckle—making him take a knee to the ground.

Jinn's arms vibrated in pain due to the force of the strike upon his blade—making his fingers slightly lose their grip.

"Urgh!" Jinn grunted as the blood from his ears and nose began to flow even more.

Evakhell—seeing that Jinn seed to be in danger, was forced to contact soone, her fingers clicking through the hidden earpiece attached to her ear.

Yet before she or the person she is trying to contact intervene, Zendrell once again raises his sword to perform another strike—this ti, using both of his hands.

"Grip your sword tightly—boy!" Zendrell exclaid before brutally smashing his swords against Jinn's blade.

Jinn started to lose his vision as the force being pressed upon his both blade rippled through until it reached his body—which could not contain the stress being put upon it.

Yet at that mont, as if sensing the danger within him—a crimson red energy began to wrap Jinn's body—like a serpent. The energy cracked like electricity, making his heart pound within his chest, making his blood run hot—making him strong.

"YARGH!" Jinn let out a visceral scream that ca from within his very soul as he gripped his sword with every strength that he had.

With powerful force, Jinn scraped and clashed his sword against Zendrell's—pushing it back inch by inch.

Zendrell's eyes widened in surprise and interest, before smirking.

"More! Show !" before his blade was completely pushed away by Jinn.

A loud cracking bang emanated after a brief explosion of crimson red light filled the area as Jinn struck Zendrell's blade.

"Satisfied asshole!?" Jinn exclaid—his breath raggedy, hands on his knees, and blood pouring from multiple holes on his face.

Zendrelled laughed in reply—his laugh filling the area.

"That was Sunder Surge! You have truly inherited Venedix's Eidra!"

Yet before he could speak any further, a spark from the sky caught the corner of his eye, making him quickly turn and raise his blade in reflex.

A powerful crashing bang rippled through the area—as if a crimson teor had just landed.

Venedix had arrived

Both of her swords scraping against Zendrell's sword.

"Well well well—speak of the devil!" Zendrel smirked before hardening his expression—his body being filled with an intimidating crimson dark energy that made the nearby slaves tremble in fear.

"Your apprentice did so well—sister!" He exclaid, gripping his sword—crackles of crimson energy filling his blade.

Venedix scoffed, her eyes locked at Jinn before shifting her gaze back at Zendrell.

"That child is not my apprentice." she uttered before pointing one of her swords towards Zendrell.

"Yet."

Gasps from the civilians and nobles filled the area due to Venedix's words.

It was confirmation.

Coming from Venedix's mouth itself, she herself had confird that Jinn would be the child that is to beco her apprentice after a few hundred years.

Then as if cutting through the stillness, the old noble from before approached Venedix—anger evident on his face as he stomped his feet across the pavent.

"That child had struck , He deserves to die!" the old noble exclaid—screaming at Venedix.

He shouldn't havethat Zendrell thought.

"Shouldn't have spoken idiot." Zendrell sighed, putting his palm upon his brow.

Venedix's eyes narrowed before performing a swift cleave from both of her swords. One blade instantly decapitated the noble, and the other one—which was to slice him in two.

The attack was instant as the noble did not have any ti to react—his lifeless and grueling body flopping towards the ground with a thud—his blood began to make a pool around him.
