Gu Yan was a person who greatly trusted her intuition.
For instance, she had a gut feeling that there was a problem with herself, and now, as it turned out, there was indeed one... but the problem was rather large, as she had inexplicably been sent to this strange place.
Her mother and the others must be incredibly worried!
"Once I et the owner of this place, I must hurry back ho," Gu Yan planned.
Following that parrot, Gu Yan arrived at a small courtyard. The house wasn’t big, just three rooms wide, with a peach tree planted in the center of the courtyard, its ripe peaches exuding a sweet fragrance.
The Diamond Parrot perched on a tree branch, plucking a peach with its claw to eat.
Behind the house, there was clear pond water. After all, being from the rmaid Clan, they wouldn’t lack water.
"Excuse , is anybody there?" Gu Yan stood at the doorstep. Instead of entering rashly, she knocked on the door.
Suddenly, the wooden door creaked open, and a man with black eyes and hair ca out. The man appeared to be in his thirties or forties, but of course, in the Interstellar Era, appearances could no longer reveal one’s true age.
The man’s gaze was gentle, and Gu Yan guessed that he must be at least a hundred years old.
However, could this man be a rmaid?
But that seed sowhat unlikely.
People of the rmaid Clan all had overly delicate and beautiful features. This man was handso, too, but he didn’t quite resemble a rmaid.
"Hello, I entered here by mistake, and then the parrot led to this place. I didn’t an to disturb you."
"Yes, we knew you were coming. Gaia is still swimming. She will co over in a bit. You can co in and sit for now."
Gu Yan followed him into the house with a bit of bewildernt and sat down on a wooden chair, still sowhat in a daze.
Xiaofu whispered in her ear, "Master, that Gaia must be a rmaid, right? But why does she share the sa na as Queen Gaia?"
Golden, rmaid, Gaia.
Gu Yan suddenly looked up, staring in shock at the gentle and elegant uncle in front of her. He smiled faintly, "Would you like so juice or milk tea? Young ladies like you should enjoy sothing sweet."
"I, I’m fine with either. The Gaia you ntioned just now..."
"Yes, my wife." The man went to make a glass of fresh orange juice for Gu Yan. His back was busy, but one could tell that he was quite relaxed and at ease.
Happy, perhaps?
"What’s your na?"
"My na is Gu Yan, my family all call Xiaoyan."
"Ah, you’re a Gu, from that royal Gu of the Empire Federation?"
"!!!!!!"
The man watched the young girl with her eyes wide and mouth agape, let out a faint chuckle, then placed the juice in front of her, "Drink it slowly. Once Gaia cos over, whatever you want to know, we will tell you."
"Then, how should I address you?"
"Maternal grandfather? It’s not important, drink your juice first."
Gu Yan’s heart pounded wildly; she had a vague idea of who the man in front of her was, but her reason told herself it couldn’t be possible!
After all, hadn’t Gaia and her husband been dead for many years?
But if it was truly them...they would indeed be considered Gu Yan’s ancestors.
The juice entering her mouth was very sweet and delicious; Gu Yan took only a sip and squinted her eyes, much like a contented kitten.
The man laughed and said, "Drink slowly, and later you can try the sweet osmanthus cake I made, which is also Gaia’s favorite."
"Lin Lun, what bad things are you saying about ?"
With her golden hair loosely draped over her shoulders, Gaia pushed the door open and walked in, water still dripping from the tips of her hair, her fishtail already turned back into legs, wearing only a loose robe.
Upon seeing Gu Yan, her eyes instantly lit up, and she quickly covered the distance in a few strides, while Gu Yan also stood up, very uncomfortably.
Gently, Gaia asked, "You are a child of the Lin Family?"
"Yes," Gu Yan pursed her lips, "My grandmother’s last na is Lin."
Gaia nodded, understanding that this child carried the Lin Family’s blood, which was why, upon entering here, she and Lin Lun were instantly aware of her presence.
At that mont, a parrot flew in from outside the window, squawking, "She has a rmaid Wishing Scale around her neck! It’s golden! But not as beautiful as yours, master!"
"Oh, is that so?"
Seeing Gaia’s eyebrows rise, Gu Yan took out the scale that hung around her neck and handed it over to Gaia.
"This is my mother Su Wan’s rmaid Wishing Scale; she said that as long as I have it with , it will protect my safety."
As Gaia touched the rmaid Wishing Scale, her eyes moistened, and she said, "Your mother was the successor I had chosen."
"Yes, when my mother was born, she was actually a pure human, but at the age of twenty, she accidentally obtained your rmaid Wishing Scale and evolved into a rmaid, a rmaid with golden scales."
Gaia took Gu Yan’s hand and sat down, then said to Lin Lun beside her, "Go make so more food for Xiaoyan."
Lin Lun nodded with a smile, "Alright."
"Tell , what is the universe like now?"
Gu Yan nodded and dutifully began to recount the current state of affairs to Gaia, and then Xiaofu opened the virtual display, still without a signal, but was able to present the data downloaded from its database.
Upon learning that rmaid Planet was no longer, a look of lancholy flickered through Gaia’s gem-like eyes.
Gu Yan hastily added, "Although rmaid Planet is gone, the rmaid Clan is doing well now, don’t worry."
Gaia smiled faintly, "The outco is much better than I had anticipated back then, thanks to the Gu Family and your parents."
Even now, the Gu Family were still fighting for peace in the universe, and it had to be said that this lineage was both brave and compassionate, with a heart for the greater good.
Only with peace in the universe could all the species continue to thrive within it.
When ntioning the descendants of her own brother’s lineage, who had gradually faded from a long life, Queen Gaia was quite calm.
"He was rather diocre, unsuited for battle and for governing with authority. To live as an ordinary person is actually quite good."
She also ntioned Doris.
Hearing about the things Doris had done, Gaia shook her head in resignation.
"That’s just her nature. Luckily she’s under control now, or she would certainly have led herself to self-destruction."
They talked for a while, and after having enjoyed a substantial amount of juice and dessert, Gu Yan suddenly said, "I’ve been missing for so long, my mother and the others must be extrely worried! Great-grandmother, how do I leave this place? There’s no signal here; I can’t contact them."
"How did you get here?"
"I’m not too clear myself. I was reading a book in the library at Empire University, then when I opened a book, everything went black before my eyes, and when I opened them again, I had fallen into a vast space that felt like the inside of a trunk. As I walked, I found a door, pushed it open, ca here, t the parrot, and it led to you."
Gaia and Lin Lun exchanged looks.
In a soft voice, Gaia said, "You need to leave here imdiately, or you might not be able to go back."
Gu Yan was startled, "What do you an?"
