Vegetables in the Interstellar Era were already a very precious ingredient, as everyone normally subsisted on nutrient solutions, their variety limited to different flavors at most.

Yet, many people yearned for everything from the era of Ancient Earth, which is why they would dine at restaurants like the Su Family’s.

Now, planets suitable for vegetable cultivation are becoming fewer and fewer. The kind of farms operated by the Lin Family had suffered from the Insect Clan’s invasion and radiation, leading to the inability of many plants to grow normally.

This resulted in the Su Family’s restaurant receiving an increasingly scarce supply of fresh vegetables, which significantly impacted their business. People were getting tired of constantly eating Star Beast and Insect Beast at.

Su Wan, "Okay, as for the supply of goods, I will think of sothing."

Thinking of her maternal grandfather’s ho, Su Wan placed a call to the Lin Family to inquire about this matter.

Grandfather Lin, "We’re now growing vegetables even in the yard at ho, but a previous survey showed that environnts where plants can grow without mutating are truly decreasing."

Su Wan, "Does that an we might eventually have no leafy green vegetables to eat?"

If that were the case, the business at the Su Family’s restaurant would only worsen, and for so reason, thinking about this possibility made Su Wan feel a bit sad.

Grandfather Lin, "There are two directions to consider; one is to create a special environnt capable of cultivating green leafy vegetables, which involves a massive amount of work. The other is to discover more mutated plants that are suitable for consumption. Mutated plants can be poisonous or even aggressive, and that’s sothing you need to be very careful about."

"Mm, I understand, thank you, Grandfather."

Her grandfather’s words sparked an inspiration in Su Wan; she rembered the large Lingzhi mushrooms and ginseng she had acquired from the Mu Family, which had grown considerably and even propagated.

However, whether it was finding more edible mutated plants or cultivating vegetables specifically, both were significant undertakings.

Yet, once they overca these challenges, they wouldn’t have to worry about a lack of vegetables for a very long ti. In an era where vegetables were so precious, this would be a very significant matter!

In the evening, after Gu Jue got off from work, Su Wan discussed the matter with him.

Gu Jue was always very patient with anything concerning his little wife.

He said, "Wanwan, do you have an idea in mind?"

Su Wan nodded, "I’ve decided to allocate so funds from the Su Family’s restaurant to establish a vegetable research base. I have so experience from previously cultivating ginseng and such, and I plan to ask Gu Qingyu to help find an expert in botany."

Gu Jue loved seeing her so serious and nodded, "If the funds are too much, and it’s not enough, you can use the family’s resources."

The money in their family was, of course, all with Su Wan, but Gu Jue knew that Wanwan would not easily use it.

Su Wan, "I’ve done the calculations, and we don’t need it for now. If we do, I’ll tell you. Additionally, there’s another direction to consider, which is to explore so planets in search of edible mutant plants."

"I’ll accompany you."

"That’s not necessary; you’re so busy every day. I plan to wait until the Probationary Commander’s exam is over to organize a dedicated team to take charge of this task. For the first few missions, I’ll lead the team, and after that, they can operate on their own."

Gu Jue extended his hand and embraced his wife, sighing, "Sotis, I really want to do many things for you, but I find that you are capable of handling many things on your own."

Su Wan leaned against his chest, "That’s because I know you’re busy, you have your own things to do. When I need you, I will definitely speak up without hesitation, in this world, there is nobody else for whom I could ask anything so unquestionably."

"I’m not a particularly domineering person, but I’m also not soone who relies on others for everything. Ajue, you need to give space to grow, but at the sa ti, you’ve actually always been protecting from the sidelines."

Gu Jue held his wife tight.

When Su Wan went to the study to begin preparations for two matters, Gu Jue did not speak for a long ti.

White Tiger ventured, "Master, is it because your wife is so outstanding that you feel a lot of pressure?"

"Let tell you, now the whole Universe network has a saying, that you’re particularly lucky for marrying your wife."

How else to explain it? The netizens had no mory of the early years when Su Wan married Gu Jue, when they all collectively said Su Wan was not worthy of Commander Gu, and so crazy supporters of Commander Gu were even making wild claims.

But what about now?

The netizens were saying that Commander Gu was too cold, that he neglected Su Wan too much. They said Su Wan was so capable, able to lead a team into battle outside, and yet also able to cook and be the unseen boss of the Su Family restaurant.

In essence, when they don’t like you, even your rits will be ignored.

When they do like you, even if you have flaws, they will think they’re just adorably imperceptible.

Pretty much subjective double standards.

But fortunately, Gu Jue himself didn’t care, hearing that the public now really liked Wanwan and supported her, Commander Gu was too happy to care.

On Su Wan’s side, after finalizing so details of the matters, it was only the decision of where to place the vegetable cultivation base that was yet undecided.

After all, the current external environnt was no longer suitable for the growth of ordinary vegetables—the radiation was too strong.

But it was getting late, so Su Wan went to check on the children.

Little Gu Yu was exhausted from playing today and had long since fallen asleep hugging his tail; this little guy especially liked to show off his fishtail, he would definitely go for a swim whenever there was water.

After tucking her son in, Su Wan went to her daughter Xiaoyan’s room. As for her eldest son Xiaochen, he was a big kid now, surely he wouldn’t kick off the covers while sleeping.

To her surprise, when Su Wan visited her daughter’s room, she found Xiaochen there, earnestly telling his little sister a story... who could have thought that the next king of Landis Star’s biggest hobby was telling stories to his sister!

"Xiaoyan, do you know that the prince actually deceived Cinderella? The person he loved had died from a witch’s curse, and her soul was trapped inside the glass slipper. Cinderella could only revive the prince’s true love by wearing that slipper and falling in love with the prince. Then, the true love would co back to life and take over Cinderella’s body, while the real Cinderella would be no more."

"So Xiaoyan, rember what your brother tells you, n’s mouths are deceitful ghosts, never believe their lies from now into the future."

Xiaoyan, not really understanding, said, "But brother, you’re a boy too, aren’t you?"

Xiaochen imdiately took on a serious tone to educate his sister, "That’s different, I’m talking about those wild n out there. I am your brother, I will only be good to you and would never deceive you."

The little girl held onto Little Mushroom, seemingly understanding yet not.
