Cecilia didn’t beat around the bush. She said outright, "Xiaowan, I want to have a child for Xiaoni. I’ve heard you know the senior military doctor Ouyang Qing, and I was hoping you could help figure sothing out."

The doctor who had treated her before had said that her chances of having children in the future were less than three percent.

That was a very low number.

And Cecilia had never considered remarrying.

Even if she were to remarry, she wouldn’t want to have children.

Sotis, the wounds in one’s heart hurt much more than those on the body.

But over the years, she had realized that Su Ni, that idiot, truly loved her.

Su Ni’s worry was that he might leave this world first and hoped that there would be a blood relative very close to Cecilia who would continue to keep her company...

After all, Cecilia’s family had completely cut off contact with her.

In earlier years, it was those family mbers who had abandoned Cecilia.

And later, when Cecilia had achieved success, those family mbers ca crawling back, plotting over her assets and trying to take advantage of her connections.

Were these people family?

They were worse than strangers.

After listening to Cecilia, Su Wan poured her a cup of fruit tea and said, "I can ask Sister Ouyang for you, but I can’t promise a hundred percent that it will work out."

Cecilia responded, "I know. In fact, I didn’t have any hopes at all, but I wanted to at least try."

Su Wan nodded and, in front of Cecilia, she dialed Ouyang Qing’s contact.

Ouyang Qing answered quickly.

"Xiaowan, what’s up?"

Su Wan explained Cecilia’s request.

Ouyang Qing readily agreed, "I happen to be free tomorrow morning. Bring her to the dical center to see , I’ll be in the clinic."

Su Wan replied, "Thank you, Sister Ouyang. See you tomorrow."

She put down her device and asked Cecilia if she was free the next day.

Cecilia, of course, nodded her head.

The two chatted casually for a while until Cecilia was about to leave. Su Wan said, "You’re really good to him."

Cecilia was taken aback, and a touch of warmth flashed through her usually cool eyes.

"Because he is good to , I reciprocate. But he is indeed very foolish."

And it was this fool who had now decided to retire from the circle, planning to spend the rest of his life with Cecilia properly.

A once hardened heart was ward by the foolish Su Ni.

Cecilia looked at Su Wan and finally explained why Su Ni was so insistent on having a child.

After hearing it, Su Wan also fell silent for a mont.

If all these things were true,

It ant that although Su Ni wasn’t very bright,

He was indeed good to his wife, to his lover.

Su Wan nodded seriously, "If there’s anything else I can help with, just let know, Sister-in-Law. And... although I don’t recognize Su Ni, that foolish brother of mine, you are my sister-in-law, and you are my family."

"My mom and my grandfather, they’re your family too."

Cecilia pursed her lips, also nodding earnestly.

Sotis, family mbers who share no blood can be more trustworthy than so who do.

When Cecilia left Commander Gu’s mansion, her usually stern face carried a faint smile.

At that mont, her communicator rang.

It was Su Ni’s voice coming from the other end, "Is everything alright? Has Xiaowan agreed to help? I’ll co pick you up."

Cecilia replied, "Co pick up."

In reality, Su Ni had wanted to accompany her there himself.

But the thought of his sister disliking him made him not want to upset Xiaowan.

A few minutes later, the flyer stopped at the front door of Commander Gu’s residence.

After Cecilia ca up, Su Ni was still a bit nervous, "What did Xiaowan say?"

"She has already contacted Ouyang Qing and made an appointnt for tomorrow morning," Cecilia paused before adding, "You’re coming with ."

Su Ni certainly wanted to go with her.

His main concern was that if he went, Xiaowan might find him annoying and refuse to help.

But he was also worried about letting Cecilia go alone to the dical examination, in case sothing else ca up.

Despite Cecilia being a strong and capable woman who handled everything with calmness and composure,

he always felt particularly worried about his wife.

In the end, Su Ni made up his mind, nodding and saying, "Yeah, I’ll go with you tomorrow!"

If it turned out that Xiaowan disliked him and didn’t want to help, then he would just... cry and beg her!

In fact, Su Ni was worrying too much.

Even though Su Wan thought he wasn’t a good brother and her resentnt had diminished over the years,

regardless of how Su Ni was, Su Wan would definitely help Cecilia out.

So the next day, they t up at the entrance of the dical center.

Su Wan saw Su Ni in a hat and sunglasses, dressed in all black, skulking behind Cecilia.

She twitched the corners of her lips.

Because like this, he was even more conspicuous, wasn’t he?

Su Wan, speechless, turned to Cecilia, "Why did you bring him? Didn’t he just announce his retirent? There must be a lot of reporters watching him, right?"

If those reporters then saw Cecilia going to the hospital,

those people, with their wild imaginations, could easily concoct so complex stories.

Su Wan wasn’t part of the entertainnt industry, but she was well aware of its tricks.

Feeling a bit cornered, Su Ni said in a low voice, "I know, but I’m worried about Cecilia coming to see the doctor alone."

Su Wan replied, "Am I going to eat your wife or what?"

In front of Su Wan, Su Ni was already short of breath.

He continued in a low voice, "It’s not that I’m afraid you’ll eat her, I’m just worried about her health."

Cecilia spoke up, "It’s fine. Let the journalists write whatever they want. If it’s too much, we’ll send a lawyer’s letter. If not, just let it be."

She remained calm and composed.

With the couple saying so, Su Wan didn’t press further and led them to Ouyang Qing’s office.

Ouyang Qing, along with his assistant physician, conducted the dical examination for Cecilia.

Su Wan and the others could only stay outside the examination room.

Su Ni removed his sunglasses, looking with worried eyes towards the examination room.

anwhile, Su Wan was engrossed, looking at the video sent by Vermilion Bird.

The children’s room was almost fully decorated, but they still needed to purchase so special equipnt for hatching rmaid Eggs afterward.

Of course, there were also so other auxiliary tools to get.

Su Wan thought about asking Ouyang Qing later, along with details on what to be cautious about regarding the rmaid young.

Su Ni was truly anxious, pacing back and forth.

Eventually, he turned and saw on the virtual screen before Su Wan the video of the children’s room.

He asked, "Didn’t you get Xiaochen’s children’s room done early this year? Are you rebuilding it?"

Su Wan replied, "This is the design Xiaochen drew, and the other half is for his sister."

Even though the child in her belly might not necessarily be a sister,

but since Gu Jue and Little Gu Chen had always referred to the baby as a sister, Su Wan had gone along with it.
