Mr. 9 froze for a mont, obviously never having considered such a question.

Because these two were both existences he had to look up to.

"Of course it’s Whitebeard!" he gritted his teeth and said firmly.

After all, the latter carried the title of "the world’s strongest man!"

’Even stronger than Hawkeye?’

"Yare yare..." Jotaro stood on the deck, gazing at the ship gradually approaching from afar. In his calm-as-water eyes, there was no emotion called "fear."

Nezuko was on the brink of death, he had to get a log pose. Even if what he faced was the terrifying Four Emperors, he wouldn’t retreat in the slightest.

"We’re heading over." Jotaro said indifferently. "Nami, turn the ship around."

Nami asked in shock, "You... you want to do what? The other side is Whitebeard!"

Jotaro said in a deep voice, "We can’t stay here any longer. Nezuko’s life is hanging by a thread. We must head to the news agency branch as soon as possible to get that data."

"Don’t worry, I know my limits. I just plan to borrow a log pose from them, that’s all. Pirates aren’t all unreasonable brutes."

"...Alright." Nami turned the ship as Jotaro ordered, though her heart was still filled with unease.

After all, that was Whitebeard. She didn’t believe things would go so smoothly.

———

"This island wasn’t like this before, was it..."

Gion crossed her arms in front of her chest. The navy coat behind her, embroidered with the word "Justice," fluttered in the wind.

In just a short while, the island had completely changed appearance. She didn’t know what had happened here.

But compared to that, she was more concerned about Whitebeard’s movents.

"That ship is heading toward the Moby Dick." Her beautiful willow brows furrowed as she pondered for a mont. "Whitebeard must be going to et soone important?"

She carefully observed Jotaro’s ship, but did not find the iconic pirate flag on it.

Not only that, from afar the ship’s appearance even looked a bit like a navy warship.

"Soone’s coming out!"

She saw Jotaro leap directly from his deck onto Whitebeard’s ship.

’That face!’

Her heart jolted in shock. Why did it look familiar, like she’d seen it sowhere before, yet no matter how she tried, she couldn’t recall it at the mont.

Vice Admiral Tsuru’s call ca in.

Gion took out the Den Den Mushi and answered.

"Gion, you said Whitebeard changed direction, what on earth happened?"

Gion’s eyes remained fixed on the Moby Dick’s direction. She could clearly see every movent of the people on board.

"For now it’s still unclear. He t with a man. The two of them seem to be conversing."

"Oh? Who is it?"

"This face gives a feeling that is both familiar and strange. I keep thinking I’ve seen it sowhere."

Vice Admiral Tsuru felt slightly concerned.

"What features does he have?"

"Wearing a black coat, with a black hat. Also, he’s pretty handso."

Vice Admiral Tsuru, "..."

She crossed her hands and propped her chin, muttering, "A black coat and hat... recently there’s been soone making the World Governnt restless... could it be this person?"

She recalled the information, the Five Elders planned to convene a eting about that mysterious man soon, and were busy gathering intelligence on him from across the world.

"The rumor says that man has already tied himself to Dragon, his level of danger no less than Whitebeard..."

"He only recently entered the Grand Line..."

The more she thought about it, the more Tsuru beca convinced, the man in front of Gion was that very guy.

’Why is he eting Whitebeard?’

’No matter what, the outco would bring no good to the Navy or the World Governnt!’

She told the Den Den Mushi, "Gion, keep close watch on Whitebeard and that man. Report everything that happens to ."

Gion was a little surprised, but still responded, "Understood."

———

The line went silent for a long while. Vice Admiral Tsuru frowned, traces of displeasure on her still-elegant aging face.

"Gion, didn’t I tell you to report the situation to ? Why aren’t you speaking?"

The other end remained silent. After a long pause, Gion’s voice ca through, laced with astonishnt.

"Tsuru... Vice Admiral Tsuru, they started fighting. That man actually punched Whitebeard!"

Vice Admiral Tsuru exclaid, "What!"

Even a Navy Admiral wouldn’t dare recklessly strike at Whitebeard, not to ntion on his own ship.

’What kind of person is this? Utterly fearless!’

She was now more certain than ever, this man, the one Gion found sowhat handso, must be the Jotaro who was throwing the World Governnt into panic.

After all, there weren’t many people with that kind of courage.

———

Jotaro’s figure was agile as he landed steadily on the wide deck.

Miss Wednesday and Mr. 9 crouched down, shrinking their bodies behind the railing, only half their heads sticking out.

The two exchanged glances, seeing the shock in each other’s eyes.

The way Jotaro boarded was simply too brazen.

’This was a Four Emperor’s ship! He went aboard without even announcing himself?’

What was even stranger, they didn’t stop him.

"You really are bold, daring to step onto my ship without my permission." Whitebeard narrowed his eyes, his small pupils radiating bone-chilling cold. "Do you know who I am?"

As Whitebeard spoke, a terrifying pressure radiated from his body.

The beautiful young nurses attending to his body turned pale one after another, terror flashing in their eyes.

Yet under that pressure, Jotaro seed completely unaffected. With his hands still in his pockets, he said faintly, "A pirate, that’s all. I don’t think my way of boarding was discourteous."

His answer was sowhat unexpected.

Whitebeard looked slightly surprised.

Pirate, yes, but with all the titles he held, there were few who dared call him that so bluntly.

He could feel the disdain in Jotaro’s tone when he said the word "pirate."

"Hahahahahaha..." Whitebeard threw back his head in a hearty laugh. "Truly a newborn calf unafraid of tigers."

In his view, Jotaro was exactly the kind of naïve pirate who had just stepped into the Grand Line full of lofty ideals, not yet crushed by reality.

Shaking his head, he felt a bit disappointed.

"Jozu, toss this brat off the ship."

"Leave it to ."

Jozu responded, hunching his body as he slowly walked toward Jotaro, baring his teeth in a wicked grin.

"You’re pretty gutsy, daring to speak to Pops like that. Haven’t seen a guy like you in a long ti."

"You’re interesting, but Pops’ life is everything. Now get lost!"

He lightly pushed Jotaro with his hand, carrying a bit of Haki.

Though not much, it was more than enough to easily blow away most pirates who dominated the first half of the Grand Line.

He thought this lesson would be enough for Jotaro.

"Wait a mont." Jotaro didn’t move at all, still with his hands in his pockets, as though he hadn’t even felt the force pressing on his side.

"I ca here to discuss sothing important with you."

Jozu’s eyes went wide in an instant, staring at him motionless.

’How could this be?’
