Inside a yakiniku restaurant with expensive per-person prices, Chinatsu, who held the esteed position of clan head, displayed her monetary power to the fullest.
"Don't be shy, everyone. Although I didn't bring much cash, I assu a place this large accepts cards, right?"
As Chinatsu spoke, she pulled several gleaming bank cards from the small wallet she was carrying. People in nearby seats who glanced over and saw this scene all assud Chinatsu was the naive, sheltered young lady of so prominent family.
Well, the "young lady" part was correct.
But the "naive, sheltered" part... Fushiguro gumi, sitting across from Chinatsu, felt the surrounding gazes and awkwardly raised a hand to cover his face.
Nobara Kugisaki, on the other hand, completely ignored the strange looks from around them, or rather, her own gaze was strange enough already.
Her eyes sparkled like floating stars. She was thrilled not just by the feast of yakiniku before hera veritable Manchu-Han Imperial Feast of the grilled at worldbut also by her own teacher, who exuded the aura of a true young mistress.
The decision to co to Tokyo this ti... was absolutely correct!
Thinking this, Nobara Kugisaki opened her mouth wide, speared a piece of grilled at with a fork, and shoved it into her mouth, even though the at was hot enough to burn her, causing her to huff and blow hot air from her mouth.
Fushiguro gumi quickly adapted to the surrounding gazes as well. He lowered his head and began picking up hot grilled at for himself, blowing on it a few tis before putting a mouthful into his mouth.
Although the per-person price at this yakiniku restaurant was rather high, the flavor certainly matched the cost. Chinatsu, sitting across from them, observed the two with eyes full of gratification, a blissful smile rising on her face.
In the original work's plot, Nobara Kugisaki, the girl who ca to Tokyo with curiosity and passion, was supposed to lose her life soon after during the "Shibuya Incident," while Fushiguro gumi's body and soul would be toyed with by Sukuna like a clown.
However, neither of those things would happen now!
The Shibuya Incident?
Kenjaku is gone.
Sukuna is gone.
Mahito is gone.
Jogo and Hanami are still living shafully under Geto Suguru's massive army of Cursed Spirits. Chinatsu even chatted with those two guys a while ago, though the atmosphere of the conversation wasn't great.
Who would even start an incident now? Even the strongest convergence of the world line couldn't interfere to this extent. If it truly had the ability, it would have dealt with Chinatsu long ago. In fact, Chinatsu successfully completed the mission of her transmigration and fulfilled the desires in her heart.
Whenever she recalled the fact that she had perfectly cleared the ga, Chinatsu felt delighted, no matter what she was doing, let alone enjoying delicious yakiniku now.
"Ah, right, Nobara."
"Hmm?"
Nobara, whose mouth was full of grilled at, heard Chinatsu's call and couldn't help but stop eating and look up curiously. Fushiguro gumi beside her also heard the call and swallowed the at he was chewing with a gulp.
Both of them thought Chinatsu had so important matter to instruct them on, which was true, except it wasn't a troubleso issue, but sothing that would make Nobara even happier.
"Nobara, you shouldn't have been a Third-Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer in the first place. After your recent Cursed Spirit exorcisms, the paperwork for your promotion to Grade 2 Jujutsu Sorcerer has been approved. Congratulations."
Hearing Chinatsu's words, Nobara's eyebrows shot up, and an irrepressible, bright smile broke out on her face.
An increase in a Jujutsu Sorcerer's rank ant an increase in her fixed monthly salary. Not only could she proactively take on more missions, but high-paying missions would even be offered to her directly. Furthermore, the rank increase was a form of recognition for her status as a Jujutsu Sorcerer.
"ChinatsuTeacher!!!"
Although she was sitting in the seat across the table, Nobara was truly too happy and excited. She practically flew into Chinatsu's arms, her words filled entirely with gratitude toward Chinatsu.
Chinatsu raised her hand with a faint smile and stroked Nobara's hair. The strong-willed Nobara seed like a cute little cat in Chinatsu's hands.
This was normal, however, since the person stroking Nobara's hair was a power woman far more formidable than Nobara herself.
These scenes of warmth, passing through Chinatsu, were also transmitted to the other Chinatsu deep within her ntal world, who was bound by countless Binding Vows and shackles.
She silently experienced everything that Chinatsu felt. In fact, whenever night ca and Chinatsu fell asleep, she would actively enter the depths of her ntal world to chat with her.
Chinatsu did not dislike her, because she was essentially another version of herself, only a portion of her manifestation had beco twisted due to so external influence.
"How about it? Isn't this kind of life wonderful?"
"It's not wonderful at all. Day after day, I do aningless things, pointlessly wasting my power without being able to use it. I have no freedom; it's utterly boring!"
Faced with "herself's" pout, Chinatsu did not argue but quietly listened to her complaints. She often did different things the next day based on the content of their nightly conversations, yet in the other Chinatsu's mouth, all of it beca aningless and was called "utterly boring."
That's right, utterly boring.
That's how it should be... The self deep within the ntal world lowered her head and remained silent, unsure if the next ti Chinatsu asked her, "How about it? Isn't this kind of life wonderful?" she would still be able to confidently shout the words "utterly boring."
After enjoying a pleasant teacher-student gathering at the yakiniku restaurant, Chinatsu drove the two of them to their separate destinations.
Since it was a rest day, Fushiguro gumi planned to return ho, while Nobara Kugisaki was staying on campus. After all, the school had many vacant rooms, and with many upperclassn around, even days without classes wouldn't be boring on campus.
The next day.
On this day, everyone enjoyed a relatively relaxed ti, living life to the fullest, and Chinatsu was the one who understood best how to enjoy life, as she had desperately longed for this easy life before.
Originally, Chinatsu thought the day would pass by comfortably, and she had even planned how to casually ask Fushiguro gumi and Nobara Kugisaki about their day off during class tomorrow.
But in the dead of night, while Chinatsu was sleeping soundly, a phone call from the Gojo Family startled her awake. Still groggy, she reached out and answered the phone.
"Hello~"
"H-Head of the Family! The clan satellite launched into space years ago, which holds several Sukuna's Fingers, suddenly lost contact! It might have... it might have been struck by friction from the teorite shower that fell outside Tokyo tonight!"
