After the unpleasant incident at the mall, Kyra’s mood had completely made a U-turn. She no longer had any intention of having fun and walked out of the mall. At first, she paid no attention to Jas, who was following behind her.

Her mind was haunted by dark mories from her college days, causing her to wander aimlessly along the sidewalk. Half an hour passed, and Jas finally grabbed Kyra’s hand, stopping her in her tracks. However, Kyra, whose hand was being held, didn’t turn around to face Jas. She remained lost in her thoughts.

Jas pressed his lips together and, without any warning, pulled her back toward the mall lobby. At first, Kyra didn’t respond and allowed herself to be dragged, but then she started resisting. Her strength, however, was no match for Jas. In the end, she simply complied and got into his car.

Throughout the ride, they were silent, with Kyra staring out of the window. For so reason, her thoughts suddenly drifted to her parents. What if they were still alive? Would her life be much happier? Would she never have to experience such awful things?

But those thoughts were interrupted when Jas stopped at a red light. He finally broke the silence.

"Why?" he asked, turning toward the young woman beside him. "Why did you never tell about this? You know that I... that all of us would protect you, right? So why did you hide everything?"

Kyra glanced at him briefly before looking back out the window. Honestly, she didn’t know how to answer Jas’s question, because any reason she gave would sound silly now. But back when she was freshly out of school and was rely an 18 year old freshman, she struggled to adapt to her identity.

Even though it had been years since her parents passed away, she still felt out of place among the Synders. No matter how much love they poured on her, she always felt like a guest.

And as a guest, she believed she needed to be on her best behavior. She thought that, since she might not be able to repay the Synders’ kindness, the least she could do was not cause them trouble. She didn’t want to be a burden while living under their roof.

Jas furrowed his brows when he didn’t get any response from Kyra. However, he didn’t have a chance to say anything more because the traffic light had turned green.

Glancing at Kyra briefly, Jas felt his patience wearing thin. He felt like he might lose his mind if Kyra continued refusing to speak. Even though he wasn’t a woman, he understood how deeply humiliating this situation must be for her. It was a matter of honor.

Although the sexual harassnt by that student, Jack, might not have been as severe as he imagined, it would still leave a lasting trauma. Sothing like this was an utter nightmare and humiliation to a woman. And he wasn’t about to let anyone involved in this incident off the hook. But for now, his main focus was on Kyra’s ntal state.

Not long after, Jas’s car entered the gates of Wisteria Mansion. However, he didn’t stop the car in front of the house but instead parked near the front garden. Kyra, realizing that Jas hadn’t moved forward, turned toward the driver’s seat. Her eyes imdiately collided with Jas’s gaze. Startled, she quickly averted her eyes.

Jas sighed as he noticed Kyra was still hesitant to speak. He reached out, grasping her small hand firmly. Then, in a soft and soothing tone, as if coaxing a child, he said, "Maybe this is a bad mory for you, and maybe you’re feeling ashad too, but I want you to know that I’m not asking this to judge you."

Hearing those words, Kyra slowly raised her head, her eyes eting Jas’s once more. This ti, she didn’t look away.

"Please," Jas pleaded. "I just want to know. Don’t you trust ?"

Kyra pressed her lips together. Honestly, she was ashad and felt degraded by Jack’s actions. And yes, she was afraid that Jas would see her differently after she told him. Sothing like this was extrely sensitive.

In the end, what man wouldn’t be upset to find out his girlfriend had been harassed? No matter how minor it was, the fact remained that soone else, a man other than Jas, had touched her inappropriately.

Finally, Kyra voiced her hesitation. "If you’re not going to judge , then why do you want to know? Isn’t it because you’re worried that I’m no longer—"

Before she could finish her sentence, Jas leaned forward and captured her lips in a sudden kiss. His patience had completely run out. He poured all his frustration into Kyra, kissing her roughly and aggressively, not giving her any space to breathe.

Out of breath, Kyra tried to free herself, but it was futile. Jas firmly held the back of her neck, deepening the kiss even further.

Eventually, she fell into his embrace, panting and weak. She even felt like she might faint right then and there, but Jas snapped her back with a sharp bite on her lip before finally letting her go.

"I don’t care," Jas whispered as he held Kyra close. "Don’t let your mind wander to those thoughts. I want to know so I can decide how severe their punishnt should be."

He gently stroked Kyra’s soft hair, his eyes carrying a deadly determination. "Of course, I won’t repay them fairly. But at the very least, they’ll get twice the punishnt they deserve."

Kyra’s half-lidded eyes snapped wide open. She shifted her head slightly to look at Jas. From within his embrace, she could see his sharp jawline and Adam’s apple up close. His piercing gaze was fixed ahead, and his intense appearance made her heart race. This man truly cared about her—she could see the sincerity in his eyes.

Kyra pursed her lips, reaching out to gently caress Jas’s cheek with affection. Jas lowered his head to gaze at the woman resting against his broad chest. Their eyes t briefly before Kyra took his hand and held it tight.

"I was looking for a book to read in the library," Kyra began suddenly. Her voice was soft, and her gaze unfocused as she recounted the story. "Out of nowhere, that man’s hands wrapped around , and he imdiately grabbed..."

She stopped, unable to finish her sentence. Her thoughts clearly drifted back to the incident. At the ti, the library was relatively quiet because most classes in that building had ended. Kyra, who was waiting for Valeria, thought she’d pass the ti by reading.

However, while she was focused on browsing the books on the shelves, soone suddenly attacked her from behind. She was hugged tightly, and before she could even comprehend what was happening, she felt a rough hand squeezing her chest.

Kyra panicked instinctively and in the next second, she used the book in her hand to hit the culprit’s head. When she turned around, she saw Jack clutching his head. But Kyra didn’t care—she imdiately ran toward the exit.

However, Jack was quick to recover as he caught her arm and dragged her to a corner of the library. A struggle ensued between the two. Being a woman with a smaller fra than Jack, Kyra ultimately suffered losses.

The man managed to grope her over the clothes in her sensitive areas. However, before he could do anything further, Kyra noticed an opening and delivered a ruthless kick to his private area. She didn’t hold back in the slightest. She even hit him further with the book.

Then, without checking Jack’s condition, Kyra ran out of the library and into the won’s restroom. There, she broke down, crying uncontrollably while adjusting her clothes.

Afterward, she chose not to tell anyone about what had happened. She buried the incident deep within her, continuing to act as though everything was normal—even when she encountered Jack a few days later.

However, Kyra made so changes. She was never alone again, always sticking close to Valeria or staying in crowded places. If Valeria was running late, Kyra would no longer wait in the library but instead at a bustling café.

A single tear escaped Kyra’s eye without her realizing it. She only beca aware of it when Jas gently wiped her cheek. At that mont, she felt just how suffocating her heart had felt as she recounted the story and how tightly she was gripping Jas’s hand.

"I’m sorry," she said, her voice trembling. She hadn’t realized how emotional she had beco after reliving the incident. She let go of Jas’s hand, but he imdiately held hers again.

"It’s okay," Jas said with a gentle smile. His expression was patient and full of love.

But deep down, he had already imagined countless ways to kill Jack—torturing him and shredding him to pieces. His anger burned fiercely, and his breathing had grown heavier, though he managed to hold himself back.

So many questions swirled in his mind. Why didn’t the woman he loved so much co to him back then? Why had Kyra doubted him and chosen to carry this burden alone?

Kyra bit her lower lip, wiping away the tears that kept falling. "I’m sorry. I thought I was fine. I didn’t even rember it anymore, but I was wrong. From the start, I was just running away, and it only took a small trigger for everything to co rushing back."

Jas’s heart ached even more as he watched the woman he cherished cry. He felt guilty for reopening her wounds. But now he knew the truth, he swore to himself that both Gladys and Jack would regret ever laying a hand on her.

Without saying a word, Jas pulled Kyra into his embrace. He gently stroked her hair and pressed soft kisses to the crown of her head in an attempt to comfort her.

But out of Kyra’s view, Jas’s eyes darkened, and a murderous aura began to emanate from him.
