"I will see you at ho, Jayden Tordoff!" Apple cried in annoyance from the other end. Just from her voice, Jayden could imagine his fiancée's annoyed expression.
"Looks like she's angry," comnted Misha when he heard the sound of the call being disconnected. He gave Jayden a condescending look at the petty act he had just committed.
"You bet." Jayden smiled as he looked at his phone. "I'll be in trouble once I get ho."
"You're the one looking for trouble yourself," Misha reminded Jayden of that and his cousin just shrugged nonchalantly.
"Yeah, looks like I'm the one looking for trouble, so I can't really complain about this either." Jayden then put away his cell phone and took out so docunts. "Co on, we have to get going, I don't want to pay soone who doesn't work."
"I don't get paid by the hours I work," Misha reminded him. He owned a stake in the company, so he'd be fine even without working. "After all, I'm the one who always works for this company."
Jayden didn't heed Misha's last statent and walked out of his room.
"Where are you going?" Misha frowned as Jayden pulled his hand toward the parking lot. "eting room is over there."
"There will be soone keeping track of the eting, we don't need to be there." Jayden then pulled Misha into the elevator.
"Then what does this an? You are kidnapping ?" Misha folded his arms across his chest when he saw what Jayden was up to.
"No way," Jayden said with a laugh and hit Misha pretty hard on the shoulder. "There's no way I'd kidnap Misha Tordoff."
"You're asking for a fight?" Misha narrowed his eyes because Jayden's punch was too painful to be a joke.
"Of course not." Jayden then imdiately stopped laughing and made a serious facial expression. "I need you to observe one thing."
"I don't want to get involved," Misha said quickly. He then pressed the button for the elevator to open on the next floor before they reached the basent, but Jayden pressed back to cancel it.
"Oh, of course you have to be involved. You're already way too deep in this to say you don't want to get involved any longer, bro."
Misha frowned, and looked at Jayden with annoyance. "I'll tell my mom and dad if you put my life in danger."
Jayden Grimaced. "Can you hear yourself? Stop complaining. You're not in any danger anyway, you're with ."
"Precisely. Danger cos together with you in a package."

After Apple hung up on Jayden, she imdiately took a shower and tried to get rid of the sticky feeling on her body. She was feeling very tired, but couldn't sleep anymore and actually didn't have any plans for today.
But, just as she had finished her shower, she got a phone call from Gladys, who asked her to et.
"Hmm, sure. I do not have any activities today. Where do you want us to et?" asked Apple.
And after telling the cafe where they could et, Gladys hung up the call with her.
Apple imdiately chose clothes for herself.
Luckily, the kiss mark was on her shoulder, so it wasn't too difficult finding the clothes she could wear.
Apple chose to wear a t-shirt and a jacket and jeans, because these clothes were very comfortable for her. Moreover, she would be able to move freely and with ease wearing these.
After that, she ca out of the room and found Adrian right beside her door.
"What are you doing here?" asked Apple after the initial shock had passed upon finding Adrian standing by her bedroom door. "You surprised ."
If Apple didn't know Adrian, she might have thought that this man was actually here to peek at her.
"I was asked by Mr. Tordoff to look after you," he said lightly.
"You don't have to be outside my room," Apple grumbled.
"So, should I be inside?"
Apple raised an eyebrow when she heard this and Adrian imdiately realized his mistake. He got carried away just then because he still thought of Apple as his friend.
"Should I call Jayden and tell him that?" threatened Apple.
"My bad. I shouldn't have joked like that." Adrian raised both hands, indicating that he gave up. "Going sowhere?" he asked when he saw the clothes Apple was wearing.
"Yeah, I'm going to et Jayden's cousin at a cafe."
"I'll get the car ready."
"No need, I can go by myself."
This ti, it was Adrian who raised his eyebrows questioningly upon hearing her declaration. "We both know that's impossible." Adrian then looked at the phone in Apple's hand that she was going to use to call Jayden to threaten him earlier. "Should I call Mr. Jayden and tell him that?"
Apple hissed when she heard how Adrian used the sa line to threaten her.
"You really are annoying. I don't understand how Jayden can put up with you."
"You should get used to , we'll see each other more often since you two are engaged now." Adrian then turned around and smirked. "Congratulations on your engagent."
"Yeah, yeah…" Apple mumbled under her breath.

Gladys waved at Apple when she saw the girl enter the café. She sat at a table in the corner.
Apple smiled at her and walked over to her.
"I'm glad you ca here," Gladys said in a slightly hoarse voice.
Even before Apple sat down, she could tell easily that this girl had been crying. It didn't take great skills to figure that out, especially when her eyes looked as red as a rabbit's.
"You've been crying," Apple blurted out. It was not a question, but a statent. She then sat down in the chair opposite Gladys.
"Ah no. I was just a little pissed off earlier."
One thing Apple learned from Gladys was; she was like an open book and for Apple, who was accustod to carefully analyzing people and observing her surroundings, reading Gladys mood was like a walk in the garden.
"What is it? You called to talk, didn't you?" asked Apple and imdiately tears rolled down Gladys' cheeks. "Eh?"
