Fall on the ground, Her bag along with her books.
She clinched the fabric that was covering her chest tightly. Her heart ached, Hurts. It was so painful that she felt like she couldn’t stand it anymore.
Why?
Why was her life like that?
Why wasn’t she born normal like everyone else?
These questions that she asked herself a hundred tis, But she never found the answer to it.
Petal wiped her tears and pushed herself off the door, She walked towards the mirror looking at her reflection, She stared at the hearing devices in her ears and touched them running her fingers along with it before they fall on her side
She wasn’t a complete person and she will never be.
Petal moved away from the mirror and went towards the bed, throwing herself on the bed. She was so exhausted that didn’t have the energy to change her clothes.
...
When Lana ca back she saw Ethan coming down the stairs.
What was he doing upstairs?.
"Ethan, Why did you go upstairs?" Lana asked, staring at him.
She noticed sothing on his face, The left side of his cheek was red, He was fine just earlier.
"Nothing, Don’t worry, I didn’t do anything to Petal, She is in her room." Ethan replied and walked past her.
Lana’s eyebrow raised noticing that Ethan had said Petal’s na for the first ti, Sothing had happened and she didn’t believe him.
Lana felt the need to go and check on her, She knew that her son had a twisted mind.
When Lana entered the room, She saw Petal laying on the bed sleeping with her clothes still on and her books and bags on the ground.
Lana bent down and picked up the books and the bag and placed them on the table. Walking towards the bed, Lana sighed as she stared at the sleeping girl, Lana noticed that Petal was crying.
"You endured so much at such a young age." Lana whispered to the sleeping girl and kissed her forehead.
Lana picked up the blanket and covered her with it before she left the room.
...
The next morning.
Making sure that she took everything she needed, Petal picked up her book and left the room.
Last night, Sothing unexpected had happened, Ethan Wilson, Himself had apologized to her, As if Apologizing would change anything, He was just like her father Like to keep everything under his control.
He is a selfish man, With no respect for others, But soday she will teach him a lesson that he will never forget.
When Petal reached downstairs, She took a look at the breakfast table and noticed that he wasn’t there.
Good, She thought to herself.
There was only Alice and her mother.
Walking towards the table she took a seat beside Lana on the table.
"Good morning." Petal said signaling.
"Morning." Alice replied, smiling at her.
"Here you go, Your favorite jam." Lana said, handing her the toast that was smoothed with the peach jam.
Taking the toast from her, Petal took a bite from it, Picking up her juice, Petal was about to take a sip from it when she saw Ethan coming towards them.
"Good morning everyone." Ethan said as he sat on the table head chair.
Petal glared at him before she stood up and picked up her books.
"I’m full, Thank you." She said to Lana signaling before she left.
Alice looked at her brother who seed unaffected by what just happened and started to eat his food as if nothing happened.
Lana sighed as she stared at the Petal plate. She had only taken one bite of her toast. She would be hungry at school.
Turning around, Lana looked at her son and asked.
"Ethan, What happened between you and Petal last night?" Lana asked.
"Nothing." Ethan replied while he flipped the next page of the newspaper that was in his hand.
"This is the last I’m warning you, Ethan. This is the last ti you do sothing to her. Leave her alone or you know for sure that I will make you regret it." Lana spoke in a serious manner before she stood up and left.
Alice, who was watching the whole scene, Finally gulped the food in her mouth. She knew how powerful her mother was. She was powerful enough to make the board agree on removing Ethan from ruling the underground world.
"Ethan, Did you do sothing to Petal?" Alice asked him.
Silence.
He didn’t reply to her question.
Alice sighed looking at her brother.
"You know, Petal is a good person, She is nothing like you think, Please stop thinking badly about her and give her a chance." Alice spoke trying to convince him before she stood up and left the table too.
When everyone left, Ethan dropped the newspaper and placed it on the table.
Running his fingers through his hair, He slipped on his coffee recalling what happened last night.
He had approached her at the wrong ti. He should have waited for another ti. She wasn’t ready and she was going through a transition phase in her life.
He hated how his heart hurt whenever he rembered the look in her eyes.
...
The next few days, Things were the sa and nothing changed. Everyone was busy with their lives, Petal was busy with her school, She was making progress with every passing day.
So teachers had told her that she has a bright future as a violinist, But Pedal is still not sure if she is going to take this as a career. For now, she is learning to prove to herself that she can do anything she decides.
"Very good, Especially you, Petal. You are making great progress. Next week, We will try sothing new, Class is dismissed." The teachers said and the students started to leave the class room.
"Petal, Can I have a mont with you?" The teacher called her.
Petal nodded her head and walked towards the teacher.
"I know that we have talked about this before and you refused, But I want you to think about it again, It will be a great start for you." The teacher said,
Petal smiled and nodded her head.
"I will think about it." She replied, signaling.
Picking up her bag, She left the classroom.
Petal was about to order a car when She received a ssage from an unknown number. Opening the ssage she started to read it.
[ Petal, It’s , Jacob, I wanted to tell you that I never give up on you, I just need ti. Don’t try to call this number, I will burn the SIM card once I send the ssage. When the ti is right, I will co back.]
Petal reread the ssage to make sure that what she read is right. She smiled to herself, Relieved, Now what she has to do is wait. Soon she will finally be with her family again.
...
The next morning.
Petal woke up in a better mood, She woke up early before the rest of the family. She wanted to leave early before anyone woke up. That day, It was rude of her to leave like this, So she didn’t want to repeat the sa thing.
Waiting outside the mansion for the car that she ordered, While she was waiting, She held the howork book in her hand trying to understand how she should do this.
She waited and waited, But the car never ca. Petal looked at the ti and realized that she was going to be late, But she decided to wait a little longer.
Ethan, who ca out of the mansion and was making his way towards his car, saw her standing there. She seed as if she was waiting.
Entering his car, He turned on the engine to heat it. While waiting for the engine to heat, She kept staring at her. She was looking at her watch every two minutes before she looked at the road to see if the car had arrived.
Ten minutes passed and nothing happened. The car didn’t arrive.
Petal decided to walk until she reached the main road and ordered a taxi.
As she was walking, A car stopped in front of her and soone got out of the car.
It was him, Ethan.
Petal ignored him and continued to walk, As if wasn’t even there.
"Your car seems late. We don’t I you offer you a ride. It will be faster. It’s a long way to the main road." Ethan offered as he put his hands inside his pockets and walked behind her.
Petal stared at the road in front of her and noticed that it’s Indeed still a long way before she reached there and she already started to feel tired.
Petal stopped and turned around to look at him with hesitation, The truth is, She was scared of him.
