Chapter 189: Pushing herself too far part one

"You were amazing. Congratulations." Lana said.

"Thank you." Petal replied. Signaling.

Petal guided them to an empty table so they could sit together. It felt good to have them here with her.

"Congratulations. Petal." She heard Jacob’s voice. A rose bouquet in his hands which was not from him. It was from Ethan. He asked him to deliver it for her on his behalf.

Jacob had seen the show and she was breathtaking. He watched her from behind the stage. He stayed there to be close to her in case anything happened.

Petal stood up and took the rose’s bouquet from him. Smiling at him. The bouquet of roses was beautiful. She took a note to put it in a vase once she ca back to the mansion.

"Your annoying uncle is here." Jacob inford her, pointing behind her and she turned to look at him.

"My beautiful niece. Congratulations. What a spectacular performance." Ben said as he stood in front of her."I bought you gifts too. But I sent them to the mansion." He added, staring at the rose’s bouquet.

Petal wanted to laugh. Her uncle was jealous of the roses bouquet.

Lana stared at Ben, noticing how much he’s gotten old. It’s been a long ti since she last saw him.

"Take the roses from her. They must be heavy." Ben signaled to one of his n. He already knew who sent these stinky roses.

Petal handed the bouquet to one of her uncle’s n before they sat down at the table.

"Well. It’s good to see Lana. Still young as ever." Ben said to Lana. complinting her.

"It’s good to see too. I see that age has Its effect on you." Lana replied to his words with a tid smile. She knew how this man can be Irritating.

Ben let out a loud laugh at her words."Nothing changed about you." He said

Petal stared at the two of them, noticing how close they seed. Were they close to her mother in the sa way? She wondered.

For a mont Lana observed Ben and Petal closely. Noticing that they share the sa facial features and eyes. A smile appeared on her lips. Olivia would be happier if she married Ben. But their love continued to live through the fruit of their love and it’s right here in front of her.

"Jokes aside. How are you? I haven’t seen you for a long ti." Lana asked.

Alice smiled. Her mother was always straight to a point person. Turning to look at Ben. She continued to listen to them.

"Away from everything. It was a good ti but it lacked sothing important or soone, to be honest." Ben replied.

It lacked Olivia. The woman he was and still loves.

"I know. It was hard for everyone." Lana replied, patting Ben’s shoulder.

Jacob who was listening to them turned around to look at PetaI who seed pale."Petal are you alright?" He asked, touching her forehead. She doesn’t have a fever.

Ben and Lana turned to look at her, noticing how she suddenly beca pale.

"I’m fine. I need to use the restroom." Petal said. signaling.

She suddenly started to feel lightheaded and her vision was blurry. Her body was exhausted and she felt like she’s going to throw up. It must be because she hadn’t eaten anything for the past two days. She only drinks water or tea.

She stood up and was about to start walking but suddenly everything started to circle. The last thing Petal rembered was Jacob’s worried face before everything beca dark.

Jacob felt his heart nearly stop holding an almost dead Petal in his hands. Her pulse was extrely weak.

"Let

see." Alice said in a calm voice.

She started to examine Petal’s blood pressure and noticed that it’s low." Her blood pressure is low. She needs to be treated." Alice said as she looked at her mother.

"I have everything that you need at my house. Let’s take her there." Ben suggested since his house was closer.

"Alice, you go back to the mansion and try to make your brother calm down." Lana ordered her daughter and Alice nodded her head.

"Let’s go. Quickly." Jacob said, gathering Petal’s unconscious body in his arms.

---

An hour later.

Lana checked Petal’s blood pressure again and that has improved. Her heart beating went back to normal. She treated her and injected her with hypnosis to make her sleep. Her body was extrely exhausted and because she had a weak body she couldn’t handle the fatigue well.

Covering her body with the blanket, Lana kissed her forehead.

"Olivia must have loved her so much." Ben said. He was sitting on the chair across the bed.

Lana nodded her head."More than anything in the world. She’s the only thing that made her tolerate Henry shit for all these years." She replied, "I hate that man." Lana added feeling angry for what happened to Olivia.

"I hate him too. I lost the most important person in my life because of him." Ben said, reaching for Petal’s hand. Squeezing it gently."But at least I have her. My daughter. The only thing that is left is Olivia." He added kissing Petal’s hand.

"So you knew? Then why did you leave her?" Lana asked him.

"Because she’s asked

to leave. She told

that she will find a way to run from there. She asked to wait and trust her. And I wish that I didn’t. She wanted to save ." Ben replied, staring at Petal’s face.

She was the only thing that was keeping him alive at the mont. When he found out that she had a daughter. Ben cried with happiness. He rushed to the school Petal was studying in just to et her. To see his child.

"That’s so Olivia."Lana said and sighed.

"She was pregnant when she asked you to do that. Henry tried to force her to abort the baby at the ti but she refused. He even mixed several abortion pills in her food. She nearly lost the baby but thankfully she didn’t but she didn’t co out entirely unhard. This was the reason Petal was born like this. She was so small and weak when she was born. But Olivia didn’t lose hope and took care of her." Lana said. Rember how much both the mother and daughter suffered.
