Chapter 177: Don’t let a man wait for nothing
Noah sat on the bed with his back against the headboard. Didn’t sleep a wink. He spent the whole night thinking about last night. Sothing was different in Petal. She was cold towards him and the way she reacted when he told her about his feelings shocked him. She completely ignored what he Sato her about his feelings.
Did sothing happen when he was away? Did she find soone?
These questions and more started to appear in his head. Petal is the girl he loves and he’s not going to give up easily on her. Not without trying. The first thing he needs to do now is to find out who is this person who captured her heart and how deep her feelings for him are.
Only if he knew that this person is. Ethan. His cousin!

"I’m sorry to say that. But I don’t like him." Jacob said."Sothing about him wasn’t right." He added.
Isaac chuckled hearing Jacob’s words. He already likes this guy. He found him 4o be an interesting character. One of the few people who spoke their minds in front of Ethan as if he was nothing. No one.
"Try not to show that to Noah. He has a very sharp mind." Ethan replied leaning back against his chair.
"Well. If you fixed the situation that day rather than pretending. I wouldn’t be thinking about who to keep him away from Petal." Jacob said, looking outside the window.
"Careful Jacob. You made him angry early in the morning." Issac said pointing at his brother’s murders expressions.
Ethan was aware that Noah has feelings for Petal but she rejected his feelings. He only hoped that she wouldn’t use him as a tool to make him regret what he had done to her. Or she thinks it has happened.
Ignoring Issac’s words. Jacob said."It’s best if we leave here. This way she won’t be close to him." He said, turning to look at Ethan.
Jacob just didn’t like Noah. He suspended him for so d reason and he didn’t like the fact that started to buzz around Petal the mont he ca back.
"No. She needs to stay here. It’s safer." Ethan rejected. He can’t allow her to leave here and be out of his sight.
Jacob rolled his eyes. He wasn’t sure anymore if this guy was the mafia king anymore."Don’t bla

"He’s very protective of her. Aren’t you worried?" Issac said after Jacob left the room.
"No. He had every chance to make her his. If he wanted to. He would have done that a long ti ago." Ethan replied."He’s the right person to stay with her right now. He’s clever. He noticed Noah’s intentions from the ti he saw him and he wasn’t wrong. I don’t like Noah either. I just try to put up with him." He added as he stood up.

Three days later.

Petal, who was lost in her thoughts, didn’t hear the knocking on her room door. She rembered the sweet words that Ethan used to say to her. They were sweet words and nothing more. To him these words an nothing.
Knock Knock Knock.
Petal turned to look behind her when she heard Alice’s voice.
"Petal. Are you ready?" Alice asked as she walked towards her.
Tonight the Willsons estate is having a charity event. The biggest nas in the underground world and the business industry are here tonight. Not for the charity work of course. But to win the favor of the Mafia king.
Nodding her head. Petal wore her shoes and the two girls left her room going downstairs. The party was held in the mansion garden where the place was beautifully decorated for the event. Petal noticed that many people had arrived. All waiting for the appearance of Ethan Wilson.
"Your dress is beautiful. Perfect choice as always." Alice said as they walked towards the guardian.
Petal wore a light blue off-shoulder lace applique tulle A-line with sweetheart neckline. The dress was elegant and not too revealing. Her makeup was as simple as her jewelers.
"Thank you." Petal said. signaling.
"I can see many hot boys here tonight." Alice said as she looked at the guests.
While Alice was busy making a list of the hot boys at the party. Petal was busy looking through the guests for a certain soone who seed to not have appeared yet. For so stupid reason, she was nervous but she tried hard not to show it.
"Noah Is walking towards us." Alice inford Petal who was looking at the other side.
"Good evening. Ladies." Noah said.
"Good evening. You look nice." Alice noticed how good her cousin looked this evening.
"Thank you. You look beautiful too." He replied, turning to look at PetaI.
She looked extra attractive tonight. Her skin was white as snow, matching the color of the dress she wore perfectly. He gulped softly, staring at the red lipstick on her lips. God, she was too irresistible tonight.
Petal offered him a smile when their eyes t. She noticed how he was looking at her but she chose to ignore it.
"You look lovely Petal. The dress suits you perfectly." Noah said.
"Thank you." Petal replied. signaling. She preferred to not praise him.
Alice noticed how Noah was making Petal uncomfortable. So she needed to do sothing."Noah. Can you bring us sothing to drink? I’m thirsty." Alice said, touching her throat.
"Yes. No problem." Noah said and went to bring the drinks.
Alice waited until Noah was far enough from them before she asked." Did he feel uncomfortable?"
Petal sighed and nodded her head."A little. But it’s alright. He’s a good person." She said, signaling.
"And he has feelings for you. I will give you advice PetaI. Don’t let a man wait for nothing. Tell him the truth as soon as possible." Alice said, looking ahead of her.
