The day of the gathering.

Lana checked the ballroom for one last ti before she left to check on the rest of the preparations.

"No, Not these, Use the new set of plates that I bought." Lana said to the maid.

The maid nodded her head and left to bring the new set of plates.

She wanted everything to be perfect. Their guests will be mostly high and influential people in the society. Politicians, businessn and people from the governnt will attend the gathering.

"So you need help with anything?" Lana heard her sister Sofia’s voice.

"No, Everything is mostly done." Lana replied as she walked towards her sister.

Sofia was her older sister. Both of them were married to the sa family. She lives with them in the sa state but she rarely cos to Lana mansion, Which is why Lana asked.

"I didn’t think I would see until the gathering started, What made you co early?"

Sofia offered her younger sister a smile before she replied.

"I just thought that I might need so help, That’s all." Sofia replied.

Hearing this, Lana smiled. She was happy to see her sister here. It’s been a while since they just sat down and talked. After her husband had been killed, The sisters’ relationship changed.

"let’s go to my room, I want to speak to you about sothing." Lana said and both sisters left, leaving the maids to finish their work.

At the Santos mansion.

Patel was woken up again by the sa dream, The terrifying mory that kept hunting her from that day.

Pushing her body to sit up straight, She placed her feet on the floor only to shiver at its coldness. Her body felt weak as if she was getting sick again.

Patel had a week body that’s why she gets sick so often, She stood up on her feet walking towards the window, A smile ford on her lips when she saw the water drops that were coming down from the sky, It was raining and she wished that she can step outside the mansion now to play in the rain, But she knew she couldn’t, Her father won’t allow her.

She turned to look at the clock and it was six in the morning, Only a few hours left before everything change, To think that her father wants to sacrifice her and send her to kill soone like Ethan Wilson, It saddened, She was aware that he doesn’t love her and think that she is a burden because of her disability, But she was his own flesh and blood, How could he give up on her so easily knowing that she could be killed once she steps there.

Patel sighed wondering how this day will end. Her mother told her that the woman nad Lana will take care of her once she arrives there, But she didn’t know why. She had a bad feeling about all of this.

She wondered when she would be able to see her mother and Jacob again, Or will she ever see them?.
