Leon looked intensely at the goblin as he said his final words.

"Pillars..." Gool finally said before beginning to pant. It took him many heavy pants to recover the energy once recovered by a single breath.

’Stay under the pillars?’ Leon thought, ’I’m sorry... but hiding here won’t help. You probably think of as so random human, but I’m not. I have a special ability... and I must use it to save a good person like you!’ He clenched his fist before stepping out of the shelter of the pillars.

Still, the spider was not willing to co any closer. It remained ducked under the shelter of the canopy.

Gool smiled slightly as he saw the young man doing this.

’I knew it... he must think that I see him as a weak human, but I’ve already accessed his great strength. When he blocked that poison attack, it gave enough information to know that he is at least higher than Aspect Tier in rank. Still... if that poison had hit him, he would have surely died as well.’ The goblin thought.

He looked down at his own body, his nervous system overwheld by fatigue.

’I... have no chance of survival now. The Death Spike Arachnid is no joke. It is a rare sight, and never escapes its burrow in broad daylight. Its elder status must have caused it to beco bloodlusted. Its poison is known to be the greatest on the island. It’s only a matter of ti before I pass away now.’ Gool ground his teeth, realizing the dire reality of his situation.

’The Death Spike Arachnid’s poison is not imdiately lethal either. Instead, it is a slow poison that kills over weeks. Within the span of a month, however... I will slowly lose all my bodily functions before eventually passing away.’ He thought, but harboured no emotion toward his insights.

He didn’t know what to think, in truth. What was he to do now? Fate seed to have put him in an unbeatable situation.

"What is your na, goblin!" Leon shouted aloud out of nowhere, "No... sir. Sir, what is your na? I will make sure you do not die here!"

Gool slowly looked over at the back of the young man.

"Gool..." He said in a low tone.

"Sir Gool! You will survive this!" Leon shouted with confidence, two transparent red horns growing on his head.

"There... is an antidote..." Gool began to say, but couldn’t finish his sentence without exhausting himself out of breath.

Leon flashed his palm backward at Gool, "Hold that thought!" He said, "Don’t worry... let deal with this spider first, and I will hear about this antidote in a minute. Is that alright, Sir Gool!?"

’Beat... the spider first, huh?’ Gool smiled, ’He is ambitious...’ He thought, his eyes closing.

Leon, seeing Gool’s smile, saw it as a sign of agreent.

"Good!" He shouted, slowly gazing at the Death Spike Arachnid.

The spider hissed and growled, releasing a deafening shriek as a lethal killing intent oozed from its body.

The killing intent reached Leon’s feet and entered his body and mind.

However, as soon as this fearso energy made contact with him, Leon slamd his right foot down on the ground hard.

"Hmph! Do not corrode with your negativity, spider!" He lunged forward without a care in the world.

He reached his arm back, cocking his elbow before releasing a full-force punch toward the beast.

However, the spider easily avoided the blow. It lunged to the side, jumping from tree to tree as it weighed as much as a feather.

A dozen mouthfuls of spikes covered in poison were spewed directly at Leon through the jumps of the spider, but the young man evaded all of them due to his high speed alone.

He sprinted toward the spider, appearing before each tree it jumped across at almost the sa ti.

Each ti, he threw an attack but only managed to land it on the tree.

The spider moved around fiercely from one tree to the next, circling Leon from straight and diagonal positions.

"Fight like a man!" Leon shouted, "Stop running, spider!"

Just then, however, the spider stopped moving. It stood on the ground a few feet away from Leon.

"Finally done with playing tag, huh?" Leon smirked, taking a step forward. But then, he stopped. He noticed that the rear of the arachnid was leaking a silky white web.

His eyes followed the web and noticed that a series of thin webs had been layered all over the area that he was currently in.

’Was this... a trap?’ He thought.

The spider abruptly pulled the rear of its abdon inwards, pulling on the webs as they all contracted at once.

Thousands of lines of webs flew toward Leon, enveloping him in a vice-like clutch almost instantly.

Leon couldn’t move, his entire body from his neck to his feet was encased in dense layers of webs.

He squird, but found himself helpless.

The spider slowly walked forward, hissing as though it was laughing.

Leon’s expression had not changed. As the spider finally ca within attacking distance, he smiled instead.

"Good... finally, you did sothing that felt actually dangerous for . Now go ahead and try to kill ..." He said, facing the spider with no fear in his eyes.

’I don’t have any real combat experience apart from the ti I’ve spent here. And even then, with no foundation, I’ve learned nothing. I just flail around like a fool, unable to use my power efficiently. However, when I am faced with life or death, the power takes command of my body. It acts in a far superior manner...’ He thought to himself, simply waiting for the spider to attack.

The spider didn’t hesitate. Its prey was fully captured, having fallen right into its masterfully crafted trap.

It lunged its maw forward, clamping down with its two front curved mandibles.

Leon’s eyes glead red. With one push, his right hand tore out of the cloak of webs and grabbed the spider’s front mandible, stopping the massive insect in place.

With a grip and pull, the spider’s right fang was torn out of its head.

Leon lunged up, grabbing the spider’s face and launching a flying knee straight through it.

The spider fumbled backward as it released a screech of pain.

However, Leon was not done there. He straightened his fingers, creating a knife-like palm and slashing through the legs of the arachnid beast.

All six of its legs were sliced off like a hot knife traveling through thin sticks of butter.

"Die!" Leon roared, launching his fist up through the center of the spider’s stomach. A blast of energy radiated outwards, obliterating the beast’s insides in an explosion of blood and guts that splattered dozens of feet in every direction.
