Chapter 66: Excellent Tutor

The stance she guided me into was actually incredibly convenient and useful considering I could ’reload’ the spell over and over again without much issue simply by having a sufficient amount of mana built up in my left hand.

Creating that spark that would eventually form the arrow with my left and then giving it a little more fuel with the right made things a little quick and efficient, while the spell itself remained relatively simple anyways.

It’s entire purpose was to be a pinpoint accurate attack that could devastate my enemies at range, while its shape and casting was equally as simple thanks to it being such a basic thing to begin with; it was a projectile that was more focused on velocity than power, and there was a tool we had created oh so long ago to help said projectile achieve that velocity.

So my intent and visualization with this spell was as good as it possibly could be, which just left the execution of the spell, something that wasn’t completely perfect but definitely serviceable... even more so with a clear goal in mind.

Nocking another arrow and staring at the target intensely, I took a deep breath and then let the arrow loose, watching as it sailed through the air before thunking against the torso of the target, just below the neck area.

A nice ’kill’ shot - potentially, anyways - and one that pushed the target back a foot before it returned to the original spot, the enchantments working quite nicely on something so simple; my attack landing true was good as both a learning exercise as well as getting me another step closer to that reward.

A glance over at Sera had me heating up again as the blonde gave me a small smile and nod before she turned to stare at Kha’Miero, who was currently doing some stretches nearby after having just lifted something heavy.

That slight blush she had was making me curious again about what had been whispered to her earlier, and it had me wondering if it was somewhat related to her sudden shift to being more ’generous’ with me.

Preparing another arrow, I turned back and focused on the target, lining up the shot and making sure that I would get what she had offered to me, both because I desperately wanted that sort of release again and also because I just wanted to improve anyways.

It wasn’t as hard as I had thought it might be since the target was maybe a little over ten feet away, so hitting the upper portion of its torso wasn’t difficult whatsoever and even being tasked with doing it ten times in a row seemed easy.

That didn’t mean I was going to let my guard down though, nor was I just expecting this to be smooth sailing; I took each shot carefully and made sure to pace myself in a way that gave me the ability to be precise while also not being painfully slow.

One after another I landed arrow after arrow on the target’s upper chest, tweaking the speed and power as I tried to find the right sort of balance that would give me what I wanted; making it faster was super easy, but making it stronger was a little more complicated.

The spin on the arrow was where I started initially and then I began to tweak the arrowhead itself to go along with said spin, only to then realize that the ’easiest’ way to increase power would be through weight...

It wasn’t something that I could figure out quite yet though, so I just continued messing around with the speed and shape instead to land those ten arrows, which I began to feel like were meant to be easy to land since the target was only ten feet away.

When the last one landed Sera walked over and gave me a nod, though before I could forget - and before the horny took over completely - I quickly asked her "How do you make fire heavier?
