Chapter 256: Tests

With the continued information that the Sinner provided Mythia, life began to return to what it had been like only weeks prior, for everyone involved; for me that just meant a return to impromptu sex in all kinds of places without a concern in the world regarding Cultists and whatnot.

None of us were under the impression that they were really gone, but for now they had given enough space that things started to get back to normal, and as such the Academy declared that our first of three rounds of testing for the year were about to begin.

I wasn’t worried about any of them - sort of, since most of the written tests were going to be easy for me - but I was a bit uncertain about what I should do since we now had been told that we could instead head on out with a few Professors to do our tests practically.

There was a greater margin of error in live settings, and there was also the risk of injury or even death, but at the same time if I could pass my Magical Theory class by just heading out and zapping a bunch of slimes before defending against the remaining slimes, well, that would just be easier and quicker.

Instead of an hour or two staring at a paper jotting down line after line of theory and articulating my thoughts as best as I could, I could get it done in just a few minutes before watching everyone else do the same thing.

I could also experience the world and see some of the things that were never in the game itself since it had been locked to the Academy, which while offering a wide array of environments and people it obviously could never compare to the actual world itself, so... there was that.

Besides I had two people constantly making compelling arguments for why I should take the practical exams instead, and they made sure to drill those arguments right into me whenever they had that opportunity... which was often.

Very, very often.

It was odd to think that so many weeks had already passed since I had died and been reborn here, and it was even weirder to think that everything I knew about this place was slowly fading in obscurity since things were constantly changing.

Yes I knew the general gist of things and yes there was an overall plot that should be unfolding as I laid here thinking about life, but the day to day things that happened were just... particularly unique and also bland.

Without saves and ’unlimited’ time to make decisions the idea of pursuing more and more relationships with people had slowly become something unrealistic, because already I was rather encumbered by Kha’Miero, Sera, Hecate, Lu’Shaki, Bo’Katari, Taji, Ishtarnii and Anwen...

Then there was the Dogkin duo of Jacklyn and Yvonne, the two bakers - Rose and Nadia - as well as my delightfully wonderful and totally not overbearing Sinner, who hadn’t made an appearance in a little while but had claimed far too much of me to just be an afterthought.

There was a lot of people that I was already juggling, let alone the fact that my classmates existed, my Professors were simply waiting for me to make a move - in my mind, anyways - while there was the odd foray out into the city to get wasted and knock hips with whomever looked handsome or pretty at the time.

My body count was already triple - at the very least - of what it had been in my first life, and that was just going off of the unique partners I had had; the amount of sex was at least twenty times higher than it had been before, though quantifying it was almost impossible since I had so much sex here and only a little before.

Anyways that was all to say that my day to day life had been so drastically overwhelmed that the idea of doing more felt horrible, which was where the practical exams actually sort of saved me since it would free up time I would have spent studying and also reduce the amount of tests I needed to take.

Combat and Magical Theory were able to be bundled up together, apparently I could pass most of the History test by answering a bunch of questions on that trip about where we were, the people there and who or what relationships were in place, and then if I discovered any herbs and identified them properly that could take up most of the Alchemy grade.

Trying to min max my tests felt nostalgic since I had done that many a time in my previous life, where I had calculated everything down to the hundredth just to make sure I could skip studying certain portions or whatnot...

"I think I will..."

The green skinned futanari in my bed let out a lazy "Hmm?" as she rolled over to look at me, her eyes unfocused thanks to the lingering effects of a few bottles of wine and many hours of deep, intense pounding of her ’favorite pussy’.

"I think I’ll do the practical exams instead of the written ones. Join you and Kha’Miero for the practical exams, try and get some of the others done while we’re out too..."

Humming softly and draping an arm around me, Lu’Shaki nodded and murmured "That’s good. We’ll get to see all kinds of things while we’re out there, and you’ll be able to experience more of the world. It’ll be fun~!"

"You’re only this happy because it means you’ll still get to sleep with me every night."

"Yeah... Whenever I don’t have you in my arms sleep tends to take a little while to find me. You’re just that warm and cuddly~!"

Kissing my brow and rolling onto me, Lu’Shaki grunted and started yet again, sliding inside without any issue and resuming where she had left off not so long ago, making me laugh and moan at the same time as we enjoyed this night just like we had all the others.
