Giving the shy Dogkin a smile, I beckoned for her to take a seat before placing the book between us as I prepared to take notes and come up with some ideas for what we needed to do to complete this assignment.

Magical Theory was becoming a rather relaxing class for me since most of the time was spent nose deep inside of a book learning the ’old fashioned’ way, and the constant quiet paired with the cozy nature of the library was just beyond nice.

The people too were rather calm - besides Priscilla, of course, but even she was mellowing out slightly as the days went on - so this hour was a nice and chill one spent inside of a comfy library reading books.

Honestly it was quite similar to one of the classes I had taken before, except instead of studying awesome magical theories and how they interact with the world or with people I had instead been studying math... with letters...

So it wasn’t as chill as this was but it was close enough in all honesty, and on top of that I actually felt confident about this class compared to that one, which kept a lot of stress off of my shoulders...

Anyways, for now we were meant to be drafting up a small paper on the differences between the two ’schools’ of magic and how they had come about, and to make this a little more ’interesting’ for us we were meant to work with a partner and only focus on one while they focused on the other.

The quiet murmuring of everyone as they chatted and worked made it easy for me to lean a little closer to Jacklyn so I could ask "Which one would you prefer? I don’t mind either way...
