The martial arts tournant has concluded.
The highlight was…
Perhaps it was the dwarves who, clad in a crimson-purple aura of determination, leaped higher than my mansion itself to launch their attacks.
Well, it was all an optical illusion.
In reality, they didn’t emit any such aura and their attacks were rely fifty-centiter jumps.
However, the dwarves fought valiantly, creating the illusion of their prowess.
The reason for their efforts? A device to produce carbonated water.
Upon learning that it could be used for cocktails, the dwarves desired that very specialized device.
However, they lacked the reward dals necessary to request it from Loo.
They had already depleted their resources on alcohol and facilities.
That’s when the martial arts tournant took place.
By achieving good results in the tournant, they could secure reward dals.
And so, the dwarves persevered to obtain the carbonated water device.
Well, perhaps it would be simpler to ask Loo directly, without fixating on the reward dals.
「No, no. While that may be true for village chief, it’s unlikely she’ll act promptly even if we request it.」
Donovan objected.
Is that so?
Given that it’s related to alcohol, I believe Loo would cooperate.
「Perhaps if she had the ti, but she’s busy with the floating gardens and other matters, isn’t she? We can only start requesting her with the help of sothing else.」
Ah, right.
However, wouldn’t it be the sa even with the reward dals?
「Not quite. Our reward dals will all be paid to village chief.」
?
Not Loo?
「Fumu. In this martial arts tournant, the dwarves collectively earned twenty-seven reward dals. We’ll hand them all over to village chief, who can then request it from Loo-dono.」
S-so that’s how it is.
So, you gathered the reward dals to make move.
No, well, I’ll give it a try, but don’t get angry if it doesn’t work out.
「Understood. If even village chief can’t persuade her, we can only give up.」
In that case, I’ll try as hard as I can.

Later, a device for producing carbonated water was installed in the dwarves’ brewery.
While they enjoy cocktails with sparkling water, the main use is directly infusing wine and other spirits with carbonation.
The dwarves enthusiastically discuss which drinks are successful and which ones aren’t.
It’s quite entertaining.
By the way, out of the twenty-seven reward dals, I received only three.
I handed over the remaining twenty-four dals’ worth of alcohol to the dwarves.
So might call it indulgent, but they worked hard during the martial arts tournant after all.

Shortly after the tournant, Senna gave birth early in the morning.
It happened astonishingly quickly.
The ssage I received was more like 「the child is born」 than 「Senna is in labor.」.
Both mother and baby are healthy.
It’s a son, and his na is Setto.
Although it’s sowhat similar to his older sister, Sette’s na, Senna chose it.
And Sette, who had eagerly awaited Senna’s delivery, now knows about Setto’s birth… Well, I understand her feelings, but since he’s just been born, let’s leave the care to Senna.
She can only hold him when soone else is present.
I know, I know—Sette is undoubtedly his big sister.
She’s a bit excited, so I’ll keep an eye on her for a while.
Not that I don’t already pay attention to her regularly.
Sette isn’t the only one celebrating Setto’s birth.
The beastkins are also delighted.
Those who arrived at the Big Tree Village with Senna.
Her brother, Gutt.
Gulf.
They all offer their congratulations one after another.
I’m grateful.
But it wasn’t who worked hard, it was Senna. So, tell her that first.
Beside Senna, Rananon imparts elder sisterly advice to Sette.
Although Sette was born before Rananon, her younger brother, Kukulkan, was born earlier.

On the night Setto was born, we had a small celebration.
It’s small because Senna can’t participate yet.
While Senna’s health is fine, childbirth is a significant event.
We’ll observe her condition for about ten days.
The full-fledged celebration will take place later, whenever it suits Senna.

As winter approaches, Zabuton and most of her spiderlings, as well as the pond turtles in the reservoir, will hibernate.
It’s a bit lonely, but there’s no helping it.
I wondered if the pond turtles that moved to the pond where the Village Five’s swan race is held would also hibernate, but apparently not.
It’s not because of the water temperature in the pond or the noisy swans, it’s because they are still adapting to the pond.
It still bothers them.
If not being able to hibernate would strain their bodies, they should feel free to let know.
So pond turtles can go without sleep for hundreds of years depending on the location, it seems they won’t weaken significantly just from that, at least that’s what gramps said.
Gramps?
Ah, you an the pond turtles that first arrived at the reservoir.
Got it.
But don’t push yourself too hard.
Also, I know it’s a bit late, but are you getting along with the swans, ducks, and wild ducks?
I see.
If anything happens, just let know.
Yeah, don’t hesitate.

Winter has arrived.
It’s cold.
Getting out from under the kotatsu requires so effort.
…….
Yeah, let’s stay under the kotatsu a little longer.
Even my companions, Kuro and Yuki, seem to agree.
Let’s take it easy.

Late afternoon.
I reluctantly get up, after feeling so kind of guilt.
The weather outside is nice for lounging around during the day.
But it’s just cold.
So, instead of going outside… well, let’s focus on what I can do inside the mansion.
As I look around the house…
I notice kotatsu tables scattered throughout, each transford into a cozy haven of the angels.
Ah, I won’t tell them not to use the kotatsu, but they should at least wear proper clothes.
I understand that it gets hot when you stay under the kotatsu for too long but….
…….alright.
Let be clear.
Don’t change clothes while under the kotatsu.
Also, wear clothes properly.
Look, so of your clothes are even on top of the kotatsu.
You are trying to warm them up?
Even though they’re getting all crumpled?
All right, all right.
Now, should I share this with our oni maid Ann?
……
You better apologize sincerely or she’ll take away your kotatsus.
Even if these kotatsus were acquired with reward dals, if they hinder the oni maids in the mansion, they’ll be taken away.
And then, you won’t get them back until spring.
You could use force to reclaim them, but you shouldn’t forget that the maids control our food here… Yes, honesty is the best policy.
Next ti, I’ll make sure to pay attention.

AN: Funny how things happen at the most inconvenient tis.
Troubleso.
And one-quarter of the year has already passed.
Why, though…
