[Eon's POV: ]
"Oh? Haha…" Sotis, even that little angel seems like a little devil.
She was threatening to not know anything about her current progress. She even made promise her that I wouldn't even try to know how much she had advanced.
In the letters that she sends, she tells how she was having fun with her teacher, but even in those letters, she doesn't ever say what exactly they do during their training.
'It's always funny how she tries her best to hide things away.'
The letters that she sends obviously seem to be sothing that has been written again and again. Unlike an informal letter, her letter ends up feeling more formal.
Even when she is copying the content from her previous letters, being the little girl she is, she fails to hide the nature of these letters.
'She's trying pretty hard to keep things secret from .'
No one in the house knows anything about it, she doesn't even tell Rein or the others who talk with her through the communication crystal.
She's doing her best to surprise all of us… how could I not be happy as the one she's doing all of this for?
"What's up with him? Is that a letter from his mom or sothing?" Since it was lunch break right now, everyone had gathered in our office today.
Yeah… in the student council office, one of the smallest rooms in the entire academy, there were over ten people present in this small place. So even had to stay outside of the door since there wasn't enough space for everyone to eat inside.
"It's from his sister. Haven't I told you? He's a little crazy for his sister." Rein answered Ezra in a calm tone while handling her so condints.
There were all kinds of things scattered around the floors, food that usually took a few tables in the garden was now placed on the ground with everyone, even the royals and those of special origin, sitting on the ground.
"We never had a potluck in this office, you know? I don't think anyone has eaten in the office with everyone like this since the last few hundred years."
Even president Zodiac and Del were here right now due to so of their work. They were going back soon, but now that we were eating anyway, they joined us without hesitation.
They didn't know when they would be having their last ans that I've made, but they loved everything that was present around here as usual.
"Who cares, dumbass? Just eat quickly and get up. We have to go or else the headmaster will turn away from his bet."
Del and the president were going to the headmaster's office with a few docunts and they needed to get there with those docunts in a specified ti or else they would declare that those docunts did not exist.
'It wasn't sothing important, actually. But they weren't playing any gas either.'
They were preparing for their next steps to deal with the demonic cultists.
"Del at least let enjoy my favourite. How long has it been since I last had this-."
"Exactly twelve hours and twelve minutes! You just ate it last night!"
Del wasn't done eating but even though she wanted to enjoy the food, she didn't want to lose the bet with the headmaster.
It was an elaborate plan from what I understand, but since none of us know the exact details, we're just playing in the palms of the headmaster right now.
Doing what he said without asking anything about it wasn't how the student council operated, so Del's wish to win the little bet was sothing pretty understandable.
But then again, they didn't want to miss this lunch. And enjoying the food was more important than chugging things down.
"Hey hey. It's fine, alright? Why don't you try those dumplings? Look, they're looking soooo good~."
The president knew it wouldn't be any problem. They were leaving the day after tomorrow, in the morning, so they didn't have any ti left here now.
We will throw a party for them tomorrow, and since we are going all in on this, the headmaster was keeping them busy.
'They must have caught onto the fact that we are doing sothing, but they weren't gonna know what exactly we were up to this ti.'
The preparations were done and we were finishing thighs in secret. The other house captains were working whenever they were free and Tia was looking after things along with Zoe and Quinny.
Captain Alpha was helping out a lot as well, so things were going smoothly on that end.
"Looks like everyone's liking it here. I must say though…" Waiting for a mont for everyone to look at sitting on the chair, I smiled gently at them all when they were looking at .
"I presu you all know this is the student council office, right? You will be cleaning this place before you go so eat as Comfortably as you want."
We didn't mind cleaning, but since they invited themselves here and were eating while sitting on the floor and outside of the office, then they better clean up the place as well as it used to be an hour ago.
If they fail to do so, they knew from my current smile they weren't going to have any more lunch parties in this office.
"Ah! Of course!"
"I-isn't that obvious!? No need to say it out loud~!"
"Haha, you silly. Why wouldn't we clean up~?"
I wasn't really feeling good about skipping lunch, but this was nice as well. So, I just shook my head at all of them, at Carla, Tia, and Hide, and opened up my storage space.
"Good thing you understand."
Then, I took out sothing none of them had tried yet. Sothing that I knew they would love already.
"We can share these after all of you are done eating."
They were cookies. Yeah, the special cookies of my master… though not the ones she made herself.
'When we were at the tower, we made sure to stock up on many things. Cookies made with the best of our artifacts and ingredients was one of them.'
There's no way I'd share my master's cookies with anyone other than Anna and Rein. Even they barely ever get so.
There are very few of them available anyway so unless it's a special occasion, I don't take them out in the first place.
"Ohh! Are those cookies?"
"Sweets~!"
"That's dessert, Del. Don't look at it like that." President teased Del when she almost started drooling from the sll of the cookies.
They were sothing new, all of them could tell that much.
Even Carla and the ones that were at the Tower with us did not know when or how we made it. Only Zoe knew about it and I know she isn't going to tell anyone about any of that.
Besides…
"Oh… are they the ones you were talking about? The filled cookies?" Even Rein hadn't tried any of them.
This was the first ti I had taken them out of the storage space. And just from the amazing scent that covered the room despite the presence of so many different items, the rest of them could tell there was sothing Great.
"You're not getting these until you all finish the food… huh?" I was just teasing them, but all of them collectively focused more on their food.
Del and the president even finished their portions and were almost ready for their pieces of the cookies.
The rest of them also soon finished their dishes. They did not forget to enjoy them, they also did not eat fast.
They simply stopped talking and focused on the food instead.
'It took out so of the fun from the activity, but they were doing this for the cookies so this was a little funny.'
The cookies were best when they were hot. They didn't want them to get cold and miss the chance to eat them in their best conditions.
"The box is enchanted, you funny bunch. They weren't going to get cold or anything." but it didn't really matter at this point.
They were already done eating. And they were onto the cleaning part as well.
"Tia, get that part."
"Alpha! Clean that side properly!"
"Does anyone want so tea with the cookies?" I had to ask, but they all kept going on with their cleaning parts instead of looking up.
"I'll take so hot chocolate."
"So tea for ."
"I want that hot coffee you made the last ti."
They still answered though. Which seed even funnier.
"Hahaha…"
Del and president were done first so I gave them their cookies and so hot milk to pair them with.
They were in a hurry at that point, but they still waited and took a bite of their cookie…
"Ah."
"Wow…"
And right after the first bite, they were lost in their own worlds.
'They didn't say anything after that until they slowly finished their cookies and at the end, before leaving with almost tears at the end of their eyes, they thanked .'
A simple thanks, nothing big or overly dramatic.
Yet, that behavior of theirs made the anticipation in the rest of their hearts even deeper.
"We're done!"
"Our turn now!"
"Gim! Gim! Quick! The pink one looks the best!"
"Hey! The pink one's mine!"
I prepared the box with all of them in mind so even though the decorations on the cookies were different, I had one made for each one of them.
They weren't going to get the ones they wanted, but they will love them all nonetheless.
"So? How is it?" I couldn't help but smile at all of them.
They were enjoying cookies even though they weren't children anymore-... oh, wait.
'They Are children.'
The children of a new age. Sothing that slips my mind often thanks to the life I've lived in this world until now.
"Glad you all liked it."
Their expression was enough praise.
This was what I lived for anyway…
