"Eon has gone for a while now."
A grandmother was worried about her grandchild in the Heliox estate on a fine night.
From her room on one of the towers of the castle, she was looking out, looking over the vast backyard that they had.
"The house has beco quite quiet as well."
Before her eyes was a vast green land spreaded all the way to the end of the island, a few structures like the stables, the houses for the servants, as well as the labs for the mages of the family present at distance.
Small creatures were roaming here and there, there were so creatures in the night sky, visible spirits that had arrived into this world through their connection with the creature or the land itself, and there were also plants and trees that made the view even prettier.
"It reminds of that day… the night before the storm arrived."
It was quiet tonight, the night breeze was not that strong, since it would be the night of full moon tomorrow, the tides were pretty strong.
The sea visible from up here was the sa as it was back then. The light of the moon reflecting off of water made it look as pretty as it she rembered from her past, and even as she was looking at the scenery before her… her eyes were seeing the scenes of her past.
"It wasn't easy back then, but I guess we t thanks to that."
The grandmother as well as the grandmother, looking out of their large window, looking out at the pretty sea before them, thought back to the days they used to be not a Lord and a King ranked knight, but rely a troublemaker and a concerned deputy worried about her family and her people.
"I rember when we connected with your people asking for help and you showed up with your father." Find more chapters on My Virtual Library Empire
"Rember the ship?"
"How could I forget about the ship incident? You were so darn stubborn about eting on ships in the ocean instead of on land since you believed standing on land ant accepting our authority."
She was smiling as she thought back to the ti when Zahavi, the old man beside her, did not even have a beard.
He used to keep a cleanly shaved face, along with long hair that made him seem like so kind of pirate prince.
And, with his blond hair being the proof of his 'great' lineage, he was known throughout the land and the waters of the north.
"I rember the first ti I saw you, you were looting a sinking ship. I was already having a bad day back then, and you made it worse."
The grandmother and the grandfather of many children, a lord that was famous all around the world, as well as a knight that had earned respect of even those that he had hurt in the past.
They have changed quite a lot over the decades…
Yet, here they were, on this fine night, thinking back to their older days.
"It was never the right decision to co here. If we could have just had that eting in the sea-."
"Shut up, Havi."
She shook her head with a delighted smile when she thought about it as well. She knew there was sothing that was reminding them of those days right now, but instead of reasoning with it, she was also getting dragged into the waves of nostalgia.
"That happened on a full moon as well…"
The unique creature that was going to destroy the city and the entire archipelago with the storm that it carried with it…
They were able to deal with it, but to prepare to deal with it, the etings that they had with various parties including the notorious pirates, and anyone that could lead them their strength…
It was an ergency, so even though Zahavi's father was making a fuss, even almost destroying their docks, they were able to deal with it ultimately.
"We faced the storm under the full moon-."
"Oh, no no Mister. We started the fight under the full moon. We ended up fighting it for an entire day and it only ended when-."
"The sun was setting down the horizon."
How could they ever forget that?
Their actual first eting, on the broken planks of their ships, with the setting sun before them on the horizon, with devastation all around them, and… a strange feeling in their heart.
"At first, I thought you were nothing more than a scoundrel that likes to harass people and take what is theirs."
"I did kind of like that…"
Looking beside her with a smirk, she gave her husband a squinted eye look.
"Seeing you fight for your people though… the way you saved others and even fought the creature by yourself when the others could not hold themselves against the winds…
I rember the man I saw in the child you were back then."
"I only did what I had to do back then-."
"You've done all that you have to do when it cos to your family, dear."
Taking bla for a scene his father caused, convincing the others about what was best for them, setting his ego aside and following the plan of the lord's proxy, giving away the authority that he held so dear to just to defeat a creature…
He didn't just beco the Golden hamr that everyone knows of with his talent. Instead of talent, what made him famous had always been his character. One that was shaped through countless trials that put him through pain and suffering, as well as longing for a touch that he had beco chard by…
"I have a bad feeling about sothing-."
"Don't say it."
He covered her mouth with his finger, stopping her imdiately.
"He's doing what he wants, what he must, sothing that made him ignore us and go on with his duties."
Their grandchild was strangely too close a friend with troubles…
He was born when his parents were facing troubles, when they were returning, he saved them and got into trouble himself, he ca back after facing a forest of certain death, and even after that, he faced many trials.
His entire life was already filled with trouble, and recently, he had been into another trouble… one that changed him significantly.
"He will be fine."
They were worried about him, his grandmother was not the only one that was having a bad feeling about this experint that he was doing.
His mother, even his sisters were worried about him. But they did not stop him from going away just because they were worried about him.
"He will co back."
He was smart and there must be a reason he chose to continue with his experint despite having gone through a bad experience in the snake dungeon.
He had sothing he needed to do and he was doing it. When it is done, he will co back to them, and then they can confine him to a room for the rest of their vacation.
"Haaaa… that doesn't make less worried, Havi."
Just like his grandson, this old man had also gone off to a dangerous mission following his heart.
While it was not a secret experint to revolutionside humankind, a war was still not a small thing, and when you're starting off as a soldier in that war, it is nothing less than a dangerous mission.
Yet, even though it took him many years, he ca back to the person that never wanted him to go… and then, he stayed with her for a while before he had to go away again.
"Well. I guess there's no point in worrying though…"
There ca a point when he ca ho as a hero and not just as a soldier or a knight, and there also ca a point when he was back for good.
Their journey together had not been an easy one but they still had a wonderful son who's now a teacher in the best institute of this world, as well as a daughter that everyone wants to et.
Both have their own families and children as well, and these special children are just like their parents… as well as their grandparents.
"Let's talk about sothing else."
"We can go and sleep as well."
"Not yet. I feel better, don't ruin it."
"Well…" he shook his head in defeat and just picked his Lady up, and placed her on the strong edge of the window.
"How about we talk about the youngest one then?"
Outside the window, right below them, if one looked closely, they would see silhouettes of two distinct figures in their backyard garden.
It wasn't difficult to tell who these silhouettes belonged to, and from how they were moving, it was also obvious that both were having fun with their chat.
"Oh? Anna's awake again?"
"She had been with Miss Nerissa till late recently. She sleeps more, but she still does her training. That girl…"
They did not have to worry about this one just yet, but just like the sword fanatic Carla or the magic genius Alf, they knew there would co a ti when they would have to worry about Anna as well.
Eon and Zoe were unique cases that they cannot stop even if they wanted to. Rein at one point was like a storm that could either be evaded or blocked with a lot of effort, but when Anna starts getting into trouble… they were worried about the scale of those troubles.
The thought of it always haunted them.
"At least she's having fun with Nerissa." The grandma rested her head back on the edge of the window, and looked up at the starry sky.
"It's a good thing, at least."
Since they cannot stop the storm that had not even ford, they did not have to worry about it either.
When the ti cos, just like how it was in their ti… people, strong and wise people will naturally co together to stop that storm.
But until then, there was no need to worry about it.
