The Povpoi were all excited to see the little slis that dad and uncles had just brought back from their 'secret' destination.
'There are only a few special islands that specifically house slis, and there is one in the north. Though, only a few of us know about it.'
It is a restricted area, and apparently, uncle El kind of likes that place quite a lot.
'Grandmother even called that place Uncle El's playground.'
He liked that place for many reasons for a long ti now, though, it was new for him to bring back sothing… or soone from that place.
"Hehehe~! Big brother! Look at that big one~. Can I have that big one~?"
We were in the backyard now that the dinner was over and since most of the others had gone back to doing their own stuff or spending their last night in this place, us children and parents were in the backyard, seeing creatures that had apparently intrigued the little Povpoi friends.
"You can't just have a sli creature, Anna. Besides, that one is a (Green) rank. It's also not safe so you shouldn't have that one.
Our Aunt Aug already seems to have her eye on that one."
Though small, the blazing sli was already burning the grass around it.
It was quiet and calm, not too excited like so of the other slis that we have here right now, but it wasn't going to be the best partner for Anna so perhaps she should avoid this one.
"Oh… is that so?"
There were around twelve of them if we don't count the certain ones that would be given to the helpers around the house for the housework.
And while Aunt Aug seed to have an interest in the calm fire sli, mom seed to be interested in the hyperactive one that seed a little too cheerful, like her little kitten.
Aunt Haze had her eye on the one who seed to have a unique skill for growing plants since it was making the grass around it taller just by being there.
"Then, how about that blue-."
"Absolutely not. You're not getting that one, dear."
Taking out the three that our mom and aunts liked, there was one that Rein was playing with, one that Taika seed to be interested in and one that we will be raising as a weapon… the one that Anna was pointing at.
"It's a very dangerous one and a future (Purple) rank one. We call it (Scattering Sli) because of its unique tendency to temporarily scatter into many pieces and then rebuild itself wherever it ends up.
It doesn't clone itself, nor does the scattered part it spawns. It's more like a parasite that's connected to a core and the parts that it ends up in, takes over people and the master of the sli can control every part connected to it.
'It was a very rare strategic weapon that anyone would pay a fortune for and also one of the most difficult beings in existence to ta.'
I don't know how they ended up coming across a newborn that doesn't even have enough Mana to be considered an (Orange) creature, but it was good that uncle El was with dad who had seen that creature in action.
"Whaaaa? I can't even have that one~?"
"There's the other six to choose from, Anna. Besides, you'd be seeing most of them around anyway. It's not like they will be going anywhere."
"That's not the sa, big brother! Hmph!"
While a scatter sli was a nightmare for the adventurers who knew how high intelligence humanoid beasts used these creatures in high ranking dungeons as traps, for soone who had seen one in the hands of a terrifying intelligent creature like dad… that sli was not too difficult to distinguish.
'The distinct blue dots on its surface surely are unique, but since they are difficult to apprise, these beings could only be recognised by the eyes who have co across them before.'
Thankfully, dad was there with them and they were able to take this unique piece of danger here where we can train it properly and use it… hopefully in a distant future.
"Haaa… you have your options, Anna. Why don't we go and check them? I have a strong feeling you're going to love at least one of them."
There was a certain light pink sli that I had never seen before among the bunch of six.
This sli in particular belonged to the family of water attribute slis who usually possess a racial healing skill, but, different from them all, this one was a mutant.
"Oh, look at this one."
Anna checked out the simple slis with {Blink} skill and the sli with light attribute affinity, but before seeing the sli without any particular traits, her eyes stopped on the pink one.
"Can I hold this one?"
Since most of the slis were covered in a barrier, we were able to have them around in the open like this. But, so were dangerous, like the two poison slis that produced two different kinds of poisons.
"Oh, yeah. This one's safer."
Thankfully, unlike those poison slis or the sli that attacked anything getting close to it, this one was as calm as the fire sli.

Though it only had one skill, that one skill was a unique skill that my eyes could not tell much about… however, we did not have to stay clueless about these simple things anymore.

"It's not like the others. The change of surroundings might be the reason, I guess?"
While the other slis liked it here or were indifferent to the new surroundings, this one was not like the others.
While it was also calm like the fire sli, it was not carefree like the others. It seed to be on guard, even I could tell that.
"Miii!"
"Oh, it looks like it doesn't want to go to you, big brother."
The sli was afraid right now, and it did not want to go to either… so, it simply was surprising to how it so naturally stayed with Anna.
"Anna… it seems like you should go on a walk with this one. See if you like each other, how about that?"
"Oh! I can do that~?"
"Of course. Just… don't try to force it to do sothing. It already looks terrified."
"Yes~! Of course~!"
She had the Povpoi, she had Taika, and she had all the other creatures in the house as well. But, having a creature of her own, a responsibility of her own might teach her more than what we or the books could.
'That was why we had decided to give her a new friend to start with.'
She would beco a tar, one of the best ones in the world pretty soon. So, she needs to know how to actually handle creatures.
And, that would only be possible if she is working with the creatures.
"Don't run, sweetie."
"Yes, yes~."
She went away cheerfully, showing the little sli to everyone present here and introducing everyone to the little sli.
It was round, like the common slis, but since the sli also had a smooth surface uncovered by any mucus, it was perfect for a little girl that did not really care about getting herself dirty.
"Now then…"
Everyone was playing. Mom and dad were looking at the slis, uncles and aunts, even the elders were playing by themselves, talking to one another under the moonlit sky.
"So? You like this one that much?"
"Hehehe, stop it~!"
Rein had found a really interesting friend among the bunch that dad and my uncles brought back.
"It likes a lot for so reason, hehe~. It's so cute~."
It was a dark sli that we don't know much about.

It was as weak as a normal animal, it was as intelligent as a child, it possessed so little Magic power it was even difficult to consider it a creature, and yet, it unmistakably was a creature as we could see from the familiar {Evolution} skill.
It also had a unique skill and liked Rein a lot… but since it was dark and had darkness attribute affinity, I guess its attraction to Rein is obvious.
"Eon, I wanna have it. Can I please, please, please, have it~?"
Even Rein liked this little fellow, so, I guess there's no problem in her having it.
It would just add to her many creatures when we settle in our Ho on the sky island.
'If it makes her happy, I don't see why she shouldn't have it.'
Uncle El and dad did not know how they got this one here, but it was with them when they got here. So, I guess it was for the better that they went there.
'Now, at the very least, it seems like Rein will be a little bit happier when we depart tomorrow and when I spend my ti working on the experint on that island.'
