'When we take a bath, Qwy floats on the surface like so rubber ducky, half of her eye subrged into the water.'
The scene always reminds of how I used to take baths when I was younger, with my mom in our old house.
Back then, we had a decent house and a decent bathtub, though nothing compared to this one. Mom used to help wash up, and every ti I was too sleepy or too tired, I'd subrge half of my head into the water, looking at the water surface at my eye level.
"Haaa… the good old days."
Mom and Dad were gone even before I could stand up on my feet or make anything out of myself.
The years spent as a holess child betrayed by those who were supposed to look after , the years I spent just surviving in that world… At happy tis like these, all those things co back to haunt .
"Qwy?"
Had I been alone in this big, luxurious place, I would have spent half the free ti drinking and mourning about the past… but I'm not alone here anymore.
"Yeah. I know you're here for ."
She was here with , and I knew that much. We were together, and even if I don't find the love of my life in this world, I'm going to have a few dungeons full of cuties just like my little baby here.
"Haha, why are we even thinking about all that? The past has passed long ago anyway."
I was neither the little girl who had just lost her parents, nor was I the corporate slave who was being extorted. I was simply Aria the adventurer here, a dungeon architect without a concrete architecture of my own.
"This world is still unknown to , you know? All I know is limited to what we have learned in the city and from the black guide."
There are many more cities out there, many more dungeons, many other kinds of monsters, and many other things to do.
I couldn't just dwell on the small things when there was so much to do here, right? I still have to enjoy this new world and do a lot more fun things.
"On that note…"
Wrapping a towel around as I got out of the warm water, I first cleaned Qwy's soaked body with a different towel before taking her out into the room and settling before the big makeup mirror in the bedroom.
There were a bunch of things placed before the mirror, mostly skin products and health potions unique to this world. They have been my morning or night routines for a while now.
I couldn't be consistent with it with all the dungeon runs and other things going on, but these products were a hundred tis better than the chemicals we had back in my previous world.
"They are magical… and since they're made with alchemy and magic, they actually are magical things."
The effects were visible from the very first use, and they weren't just long-lasting; using them on even semi-regular bases provided permanent results.
'Every woman in the world should have free access to these things… but sadly, they cost what might be a fortune for the common people around here.'
I still have far more coins than what most people might consider a fortune in the city, but if we compare my coins to the wealth of the nobles, I'm still falling far behind those guys.
"We gotta change that, Qwy. Who knows when we might have to engage in a financial battle against a noble household?"
In all of the webnovels and isekai books I've read, there are certain plots that always, always end up happening one way or another: the auction battles, the fight over a certain item being sold by a mysterious figure, a certain dungeon event where one must use real coins.
"Even if we don't talk about the beach episodes and the mandatory misunderstandings, there's still so much that could happen to us, no?"
I was holding Qwy with both my hands right before my face was covered in a green clay mask. Yet, the little one understood my frustration and anxiety as she nodded her little head.
"Qwy~!"
She agreed with as well. We needed to prepare for anything we could possibly think about. The world was far from harmless… if anything, we'd be on the verge of death if it weren't for Savi helping us all the ti.
[ "One is ant to assist." ]
"We know that, dummy."
See? She's just too good for … not that I'd want to be without her. I can hardly imagine spending a day without hearing that sweet-sweet voice of hers.
"Alright, let's go down once we're done with this. It is best to have so cool flavoured milk after a good warm bath."
We have spent two hours in the healing bath, so so good milk juices are absolutely needed, right?
"Qwy~!"
It's still pretty early in the morning, but I didn't expect one of the most famous inns in the city to be empty. The inn was open the whole day, and so it was filled with drunken adventurers.
It was going to be just another one of the fine mornings on the first floor for , but as soon as I stepped foot on the ground floor, my eyes spotted a certain soone who had been avoiding for a long, long ti by now.
"Vice Gillian Bluehorn! Freeze right there, you bastard!"
The elf mixologist of the inn that I have been staying at for over a week now, the sa bastard that had avoided for so long, I almost forgot he existed, was right there, cleaning up his stall.
"Huh? Oh!"
The mont he spotted , he tried running away from as well. He turned around as if he had seen soone he had taken a loan from, like he had seen the boss he had asked for sick leave from… that bastard was running away from !
"You're not avoiding this ti! Qwy, get him!"
"Qwy!"
She instantly flew all the way to him and started hovering right before his face, her green eye reciprocating the sa anger as mine.
"Wait, wait, I think there's a misunderstanding here, Miss." He knew he had ssed up at that ti, so he turned around with a sly expression, but he was not getting out of this situation.
Qwy understood what I wanted and started pushing him back while I started walking towards the bar.
After being cornered from both sides, he had no choice but to stand face to face with for the first ti. He was pretty, he was damn pretty…
How the hell did this pretty, tall, hot piece of elf treasure manage to avoid for so long? I just don't understand it myself.
Anyway, I have him in my hands now.
He's not going anywhere this ti…
