"Ummm…"

She looked at the magic screen before her, then back at the parchnt that we placed before her.

She thought this was sothing like a joke at first since Reddy was with , but when she checked what seed like their internal system through the special-looking magic screen, she realised this wasn't a prank.

This was real, the parchnt, the seal on it, the things written on them. It was all simple, or, in better words, the fact that she was supposed to create the ID card of soone who was going to start from Rank-7 before her was legit.

"Will it take long?" I asked just in case. After getting this physical ID, I was going to drag Reddy away to a good food place around here so that we could finally have so solid food.

She wanted to tell all about her relationship with the association's branch master, but she needed a quieter place for that.

In this crowded association hall, there was too much disturbance for a simple or good conversation.

"O-oh, no. It'll take two minutes. It should be done earlier since it's already been approved by the—"

She did not finish her words. She did not want to say that the branch master had already approved an ID when the procedure was sothing different.

She just looked around herself, confirming no one was looking, and placed the Data through a different machine that resembled a printer… it was more like a UV light box for nails, but pretty much the sa thing here.

"Reddy, do you see that little mage anywhere?" I asked the question casually, looking around the association hall in search of the little cutie I had been with since earlier, but the ntion of the mage brought back so emotions Reddy had put away.

"Right! That little mage!" She shouted unintentionally and attracted a few eyes.

She then imdiately coughed as well, and looked at the ones who were looking at her to make them look away.

Then, she grabbed my hand, the blue eyes behind her round glasses wide with anger.

"You! What were you doing with that child in the dungeon?" She seed angry that I was with a little boy inside the dungeon, but then again, it seed like she was more jealous than anything.

I simply struggled with a smile, "I was learning a thing or two from him, you see. He's cute and pretty, I just had to get him—."

"Aria! Do you hear yourself? What are you, so kind of a predator?" She had a red blush on her face while saying that, so I guess she isn't all that happy with that answer.

The association receptionist who was printing my ID was embarrassed to listen to this conversation as well, but she just hid her expression and tried to focus on the ID card inside the little machine.

"You're overreacting, Reddy. We didn't do much inside the dungeon. I just said I'd bite him if he wanted to, held hands, sat on top of one another." Instead of a smile, I had a sad expression on my face as if I didn't get what I wanted.

But those words alone had worked magic on this pretty alchemist, "W-what?! What… what do you an by that?"

I could tell she wanted details. All the hot little details about my first dungeon experience.

But she's not going to get it, hehe~.

"Sorry, darling, I'm going to gatekeep the fun details. Oh, I must say he's a soft little thing, you know? Tiny, sweet, delicate, sowhat—."

"Just! …stop."

She couldn't handle the high-intensity teasing and almost scread once again— just handling herself in a magical small mont.

"Hehe." Seeing her miserable was fun in itself, but showing this side of her to the rest of the world was more fun.

"Umm…"

The association employee was looking at us one by one, secretly for a while, so instead of answering Reddy, I looked at the poor lady.

"Done?" My voice was calm, but the lingering flirting was still there. I also raised one of my eyebrows, rizzing up the married lady.

"Ah… umm… y-yes…"

With a surprisingly pink blush on her face, she placed the physical adventurer ID on the counter before her.

She was flustered and confused as well. She did not understand why she was feeling hot, but Reddy most certainly knew the answer.

And she did not like the whole thing. She was almost red this ti.

"Thanks a lot, Miss." thanking her with a smile and picking up the simple-looking card that was made out of a unique material they synthesised using crystals and processing them into what now resembles plastic.

It's closer to glass than plastic, but it's a little difficult to actually put it into words.

'An adventurer's ID is more than just an identification card.' ɴᴇᴡ ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀʀᴇ ᴘᴜʙʟɪsʜᴇᴅ ᴏɴ NoveIFire

It's a special artefact in itself: it has an ergency calling service that connects inside the dungeon as well, and it grants access to different areas in different association facilities according to your ranks.

You can use it as a universal identification throughout the three continents, and the most important functions that Reddy told about these cards— their LAN function.

'Apparently, these cards can connect two to twelve different ID holders with each other, allowing a voice transmission over vast areas.'

In simpler terms, the ID doubles as a walkie-talkie, an ergency services button, a passport, and a private access card inside the association facilities.

It was a great toy to have, but then again, the golden star on this particular ID of mine makes it much different from most other ones.

"Aria, I think we need to have a chat." Riddle mustered up her words and finally spoke up, only for to suddenly get distracted by a familiar face.

"Oh! There's my cutie!"

Cassiel was coming out of a different side, so I was just about to shout his na when I noticed sothing peculiar.

"Huh?"

He wasn't walking right now. He was dashing past the crowd as if he were being chased by soone.

"What in the?"

And in the very next mont, we also spotted a few unknown people walking, no running behind him, trying to catch him in broad daylight within the association premises.

"Reddy, let's go!" I moved instinctively once again, realising how he wasn't shooting for help or how the others did not notice the whole commotion.

I didn't know what kind of tricks these people were pulling, but they were after my cute little Cass.

I couldn't just let them have him, not before , no.

"Hmmm?" Reddy didn't understand what I ant, but once she saw running away towards the exit… she followed behind as well.
