When people started mingling, rve and Oni went with Becca to walk further in the garden. Hande, Nala, and Zula joined them as well, leaving the guys behind.
Ade, Allen, Julius, Haru, and Ron were respectful to give girls space to talk without being overheard, but they were keeping their eyes on them.
rve noticed that there were more youngsters from the Long family present than the last ti when she was here, and she rembered that many of them were away for school. At that ti, Samantha was one of a few youngsters present because she attended a local school.
"Do you think that any of them will talk to us?", Becca asked rve while gesturing to a group of four young ladies, that included Samantha and her Cousin, Chloe.
"Don't bother.", rve said curtly. "Let tell you. The girl in the light blue dress, the one that is glaring daggers at us… that is Samantha, and she was not happy that I snatched Corey from her. Just because I'm talking to you, she hates you. Not to ntion that you are with Gabriel, I an, that is way above her level because Gabriel is not a teenager who relies on his parents for allowance money, but he has his own status and assets."
Oni had to ask: "You snatched Corey from her?"
"Of course, not.", rve responded with haste. "Corey and Samantha were never a thing, and it was all her wishful thinking. Also, when Corey and I started dating, I had no idea that she exists. But it seems that she had her eyes on Corey and the fact that she could not get her hands on him is sohow my fault."
"Don't talk about her in the past tense. By the poisonous way she is looking at you, I can see that she is still wishing to snatch Corey for herself.", Nala said, making rve sigh in dejection.
"I agree that you should not bother with those teenagers like Samantha…", Zula said to Becca. "You should worry about older ones which are thinking about marriage and babies because Gabriel is quite a catch and he is divorced without kids. Many won would not mind getting their hands on him."
Becca pursed her lips while rembering the real estate lady and won from the riding club. "I know. I've t a few of them."
Oni nodded knowingly. "The young ones will try petty sches, but the older ones are more desperate and might hurt you. However, regardless of their age, they are scrutinizing you and no matter what you say or do, they will think that you are with Gabriel because he is a Long."
Becca exhaled helplessly. "So, what do I do?"
"Ignore them.", Nala said. "Focus on what is important. If soone is friendly, accept it with a grain of salt until they prove themselves. As long as you and Gabriel are shing well, nothing else should matter."
"Don't worry about won who are coveting Gabriel at this party because they are all Longs here.", rve brought up the important point.
Becca was not sure if this talk eased her nerves or if it made her tenser. "Thanks girls for being here for and for telling all this stuff. I have a lot to learn."
"I am learning also.", Hande said to what rve grimaced.
"What are you learning? You are too little.", rve said to Hande.
Hande narrowed her eyes at her sister. "I might be the youngest here, but don't call little because I can whoop your ass."
rve's expression flashed in outrage. "Did Ade teach you to talk like that?"
Hande smiled smugly. "Maybe he taught a thing or two, but he is teaching to stand up for myself while Corey is only teaching you lecherous things. I rember when I went to his apartnt… mhmm… mmm…"
Hande could not speak more than mumbles because rve blocked her mouth with her palm.
rve was red like a ripe tomato and she felt like dying from embarrassnt. How could she forget that on the morning after prom Hande entered the bedroom and caught rve naked under the cover in Corey's bed? Ah, every ti rve says sothing that Hande does not approve of, Hande is using that incident against rve.
"Oho… we got sothing juicy here!", Oni exclaid. "Co on, rve… Let your sister talk!"
"There is nothing to say!", rve spoke with urgency and let go of Hande while glaring at her.
"Really? If your man has the goods and knows how to satisfy, you should not be embarrassed.", Nala said to rve with a grin on her face. "How I see it, Corey is underperforming."
"There is nothing wrong with his… performance.", rve said in a whisper, making all the girls burst into giggles.
"So, how is Gabriel in the sheets?", Zula's question directed at Becca made everyone stop laughing and look at Becca eagerly. "Don't tell us that you didn't do it. The man is practically living in your apartnt."
Becca swallowed hard. "How do you know?"
"I'm working with Ron, and when I called to set up a eting between Heinelurgy and Long Industries, I found out that Gabriel still didn't reach his office. It seems that his girlfriend held him back.", Zula said while rubbing her nails over her thumb and giving a knowing look to Becca.
Becca's eyes widened and it was her turn to blush fiercely instead of rve.
"Don't tease her, you lecherous girls!", Hande ca to Becca's rescue.
Oni wiggled her finger in the air in disapproval. "You are talking like that only because you are not there yet. When you reach the age when intimacy is pleasurable, you will see that exchanging experiences is beneficial because you might learn sothing."
Hande's brows furrowed as she thought about Oni's words. In a way, it made sense. Ade is not telling her much, and she is learning things from girls.
Nala giggled and spoke to Hande. "Don't listen to her. She only wants to hear juicy stuff. Intimacy is between two people and if you want to learn, you can talk to Anna for a scientific approach or just look it up online for lewd things. They co with pictures and videos and everything."
"Why are you spoiling the fun, Nala? At this rate, neither rve nor Becca will say anything.", Oni said with a pout, and the girls laughed.
They teased each other and more than one hour passed in a good mood. Becca was happy that she managed to dodge tricky questions related to Gabriel, but she felt that she is running out of argunts as the questions got bolder and she never had close girlfriends with whom she would talk about boys.
"Did you miss ?" Becca was startled when Gabriel's voice ca from behind her and all the girls quieted down while giving him strange glances.
Gabriel understood that they were having so girl-talk, probably about him. He took a ntal note to ask Becca about it later.
Becca turned toward Gabriel and hoped that he didn't notice that she is blushing. She responded with a smile: "I always miss you." She glanced behind him. "Are you done with your talk?"
"Mhm…", Gabriel confird with a hum, and his playful gaze told Becca that he realized she is trying to distract him from sothing.
