At the entrance to the 51st floor from the 50th floor, the team preparing to descend gathered.
From the Loki Familia, there were Finn, Bete, Tiona, Tione, Ais, Gareth, Lefiya, and a few other Level 3 mbers whose nas Altair didn't know. Riveria stayed behind to manage the camp.
As for the Hestia Familia, only Altair was present. Saeko, being Level 2 (and even superficially Level 1), simply wasn't qualified to participate in the 51st-floor expedition. A single mistake, or if Altair wasn't paying attention, could result in her imdiate death. Altair couldn't keep her by his side all the ti either, as that would defeat the purpose of her growth through combat. For now, she had to stay in the camp.
Altair, who was actually Level 3 but appeared to be Level 2, was allowed to join the expedition team by Finn. This was because Altair's "gift of gab" was highly effective, and even if he didn't participate in combat, his "verbal skills" could still play a significant role.
As for Altair's Listen to skill, he had thought of many potential lines to use. However, the activation rules were different from BGM Warrior. It could only be tested during combat. So, while he had plenty of ideas, he hadn't been able to experint yet. He would have to wait for a fight to test them out.

With Finn's command as the team leader, the expedition group passed through the passageway to the 51st floor.
Altair followed closely beside Finn, eager to take in the sights of the 51st floor.
"Last ti, due to the anomaly on the 49th floor, we didn't make it to the 51st floor. This ti, our goal is to explore the 52nd floor. But before we head there, we'll need to make a brief stop on the 51st floor."
Finn explained as they walked.
"During our expeditions, we often take on special requests. One of them is the Spring of Cadmus on the 51st floor. This spring is guarded by a powerful dragon nad Cadmus, hence the na Cadmus's Spring."
"So, we need to take down that dragon, right?"
"Exactly. Cadmus is incredibly strong. In terms of combat power, although it's not a floor boss, its lethality surpasses even Udaesus, the 37th-floor boss."
This was the nature of deep-floor monsters. In terms of strength, they could even surpass the floor bosses of earlier levels.
Udaesus, in terms of power, was equivalent to an Level 6 adventurer. Yet, this Cadmus was even stronger than Udaesus.

The elite team ventured deeper into the 51st floor, eventually arriving near the so-called Spring of Cadmus.
Finn led the way, and everyone hid in the shadows, observing the black dragon lying by the water.
From Altair's perspective, this black dragon bore a resemblance to Nidhogg in terms of lineage, at least in appearance. It was at least five ters tall even while lying down, with massive wings covering most of its body. Its exposed, ferocious dragon head, long tail covered in sharp spikes, and the sharp claws visible under its wings made it look like a perfect killing machine. However, its size was far smaller than the Nidhogg form Altair could assu.
"Attack!"
Once Finn confird they had the right target, he pointed his spear and gave the order to attack.
"Awaken!"
"Ariel!"
Ais activated her magic, transforming into a streak of green light as she charged at Cadmus. Facing an Level 7-level monster, Ais decided to go all out from the start.
Cadmus was still asleep, completely unaware, as Ais closed in.
"HASAKI!"
With a cold, emotionless shout, Ais unleashed a wind-infused Steel Slash aid directly at Cadmus's neck.
Clang—
Sparks flew. The strike didn't penetrate its defense!
Altair was montarily stunned.
Wow, this dragon's defense is insane. Its scales are ridiculously thick. Even a wind-enhanced Steel Slash couldn't break through. This thing is a tank!
"Don't be surprised. Cadmus has extrely high physical defense. Even my magic spear can't pierce its scales."
Finn noticed Altair's surprise and explained with a smile.
"So, how do we take it down?"
"With magic!"
Finn turned to Lefiya, who was slowly stepping forward, raising her staff.
She began chanting, preparing to unleash her unique skill, Fairy Ring.
"Cadmus has very low magic resistance. We'll have soone distract it while Lefiya finishes her chant. Then, we'll use high-level spirit bombardnt magic to kill it."
So, this was a dragon that maxed out its physical defense but had zero magic resistance?
"This situation really calls for the shield role I ntioned earlier."
"Indeed. Starting from the 51st floor, our battles will invoLevel e more injuries. The only way to recover will be through elixirs."
So, you're really going full DPS and relying on potions to brute-force your way through, huh?
As they spoke, a figure suddenly flew back, crashing to the ground like a ragdoll.
"Cough, damn it! I forgot to use Tekkai!"
It was Bete, the werewolf. He had been sent flying, a massive wound on his chest, blood pouring out.
He had activated Wolf's Breath, used Soru to charge in, and was about to unleash Rankyaku when Cadmus's tail swiped him mid-air. He hadn't had ti to dodge or use Tekkai, and was sent flying.
Despite his severe injuries, he didn't hesitate. He pulled out a bottle of elixir from his pocket and chugged it down. His wounds began to heal visibly.
No wonder Finn said every expedition was a gamble—either huge rewards or massive losses. Everyone was carrying a stash of elixirs, and those things were expensive.
"Lefiya! Are you done yet?!"
Tiona, another frontliner, swung her greatsword while shouting anxiously. Bete, as an Level 6, was one of the main damage-soakers. With him out of the fight, the aggro shifted entirely to Tiona, putting her under imnse pressure.
"Soon, the flas shall be unleashed."
"The encroaching flas of war, inevitable destruction."
"The battle horn sounds, heralding the storm of violence."
"Co forth, crimson flas, rciless inferno. You are the embodint of calamity, sweeping away armies, bringing an end to the great war."
"Burn everything, Surt's Sword—I am Alf!"
"High Elf - Victory Sword!"
"Everyone, retreat!"
Finn gave the order, and everyone imdiately pulled back.
A massive magic circle appeared beneath Cadmus, and hellfire erupted from it, engulfing the dragon in a pillar of flas.
