Lin Xinghai didn’t make a move. Instead, he quietly watched the others fight.
Even if the three weren’t unleashing their absolute strongest combat power, they were likely close. He could use this opportunity to gauge their strength.
He didn’t need to evaluate Liu Miaomiao, of course, as he knew her abilities inside and out. In fact, her technique of using her Superpower to briefly drain an enemy’s Life Force and cause instant weakness was his suggestion.
If she were to drain all the Life Force from a Zombie at once, the Superpower consud would be more than ten tis greater.
While this thod of draining only a portion of their Life Force couldn’t kill them, the sudden loss of Life Force was practically the sa as inflicting a severe injury.
As long as she seized that opportunity, instantly killing an enemy wasn’t difficult, especially one weaker than herself.
As for Jin Tong and Little Fatty, to be honest, they had sowhat exceeded Lin Xinghai’s expectations.
Jin Tong was fairly conventional. His Fla Superpower seed to have a persistent burning effect, and he did a decent job of coordinating it with his weapon attacks, but it wasn’t enough to truly impress Lin Xinghai.
Little Fatty’s application of his Superpower, on the other hand, was rather stunning to Lin Xinghai.
Although Little Fatty’s attacks looked wild, each slam actually required his Hurricane Superpower to transition at least twice—from supporting the Fine Steel Giant Shield to accelerating its downward strike. The transitions were executed perfectly.
That level of Control Power over his Superpower was nothing short of terrifying.
The three of them were rapidly mowing down Zombies. In just a few dozen seconds, the entire horde of 53 had been eliminated.
After Little Fatty crushed the last Ordinary Zombie, he ignored everything else and hurried over to one of the High Level Zombies, squatting down to examine it.
What he wanted to know most right now was just how Lin Xinghai had managed to kill these High Level Zombies with ordinary bullets.
As he inspected the corpse, a look of astonishnt quickly spread across his face. After checking a few other High Level Zombies, he finally understood how Lin Xinghai had done it.
The reason they couldn’t kill High Level Zombies with ordinary bullets was that their skulls were extrely hard; standard rounds couldn’t penetrate them.
However, there were places the skull didn’t cover, such as the eyes and mouth. These were absolute weak spots. A bullet that entered through one of them could shoot directly into the brain.
But by the sa token, hitting these fatal weak spots was unimaginably difficult.
High Level Zombies possessed an extrely keen Perception of danger. Coupled with their agile Speed, it was incredibly difficult for average rcenaries to even land a shot on their heads, let alone hit fatal spots like their eyes or mouth.
The difficulty was comparable to an ordinary person using a firearm to hit a fly from twenty ters away.
Of course, if that were all, a Divine Sharpshooter could manage it.
But what horrified Little Fatty was that Lin Xinghai had used full-auto fire to kill these High Level Zombies.
This completely shattered his understanding of Gun Technique. He truly couldn’t imagine what terrifying level Lin Xinghai’s Gun Technique had reached.
If a High Level Zombie couldn’t dodge such Gun Technique, then the other exam candidates wouldn’t stand a chance.
At this thought, his shock gave way to elation, and his eyes shone as he looked at Lin Xinghai.
At that mont, he finally believed that Lin Xinghai truly had the strength to help him secure a spot as a Special Class Student.
Little Fatty was excited, but soone else was even more so—Jin Tong, of course.
From the first ti Lin Xinghai had revealed his skills while boarding the aircraft, Jin Tong’s opinion of him had undergone a massive transformation.
His view shifted from seeing him as all talk to thinking he might genuinely be no weaker than those so-called geniuses.
Then, as Lin Xinghai led them forward while evading the Zombies, he gradually realized the man’s capabilities were far greater than he had imagined.
And now, after this first true display of skill, the shock he felt was accompanied by the complete dissipation of any doubt he had about his uncle’s words.
’Following Lin Xinghai, getting into East Sea Academy is a sure thing.’
’Of course, now it might not just be about getting into East Sea Academy. With the Gun Technique Lin Xinghai has shown, he’s bound to play a decisive role when we fight for the Energy Balls later.’
’If he helps get just one Energy Ball, I could even beco a First Class Student! That’s sothing I never dared to dream of before.’
"Alright, more Zombies are coming. We need to leave now," Lin Xinghai said.
Although he planned to fight all the way to the city center, that didn’t an he was willing to wait around to be sward by endless hordes of Zombies.
The others heard him and their joyful expressions vanished. They quickly followed Lin Xinghai into a nearby alley.
They had grown accustod to ducking into alleys with Lin Xinghai. After a few twists and turns, they would always manage to avoid the Zombie hordes and get back to a main road.
But as they were hurrying along, Little Fatty happened to notice Lin Xinghai’s brow furrow slightly.
This imdiately put him on alert. He scanned his surroundings. ’There aren’t any Zombies around here!’
’And that last fight was perfect. We took care of over fifty Zombies in just tens of seconds. Nobody would believe it if we told them.’
’So why is Lin Xinghai frowning?’
Little Fatty soon thought of a reason—which was also a very serious problem. "Brother Lin, are you worried about our bullet count? Here, take ours!"
Jin Tong, who was beside him, felt his joyful expression freeze. He certainly understood the gravity of the problem. If Lin Xinghai ran out of bullets, his terrifying Gun Technique would be useless.
"That’s right, we should give all our ammunition to you! It’s not much, but it should last for a while," Jin Tong chid in, already pulling ammunition from his combat pack as he spoke.
Unlike the other two, Liu Miaomiao shot Lin Xinghai a puzzled glance. ’Running out of bullets is a huge problem, but there’s no way he didn’t consider this before.’
"No, no, you guys keep your ammunition," Lin Xinghai said, quickly waving his hand.
"Brother Lin, this isn’t the ti for pleasantries. This ammo will be most effective in your hands," Little Fatty urged.
"No, I’m not being polite. I an you should hold onto your ammunition so it’s easier for you to reload for . Make sure the magazines for your Tearing Rifles are always full. I’ll need to grab them at a mont’s notice," Lin Xinghai explained.
Little Fatty opened his mouth, but for a mont, he didn’t know what to say.
Jin Tong also sheepishly closed his mouth.
Just then, Liu Miaomiao spoke up. "Ah Xing, is sothing wrong?"
She was almost certain his frown had nothing to do with ammunition.
"It’s nothing. I was just thinking about a problem with my own Superpower," Lin Xinghai said, shaking his head and pulling himself from his thoughts.
