"If you defy my will again, I will turn you into a corpse and find another xenos who can better understand ."
After warning her, Zhang Ge noticed that she had finally settled down a bit, and he began to make arrangents for other matters.
First and foremost was the issue of clothing. Although Eldar pets weren't particularly rare, her situation was sowhat different—she had an exceptionally strong psychic response.
During her unconscious period, Zhang Ge had examined her with various available detection instrunts and discovered that her psychic data was particularly outstanding—this "outstanding" was not aningless, as after obtaining relevant data from Oston's Librarian, he found that this Eldar girl's readings were significantly higher than those of the Librarians.
Despite her excellent control over her psychic abilities, such a vast psychic force could only be maintained at levels undetectable to ordinary people for so long. The equipnt wouldn't be fooled, and he couldn't rely on her to handle imperial inspections; it had to be assud that her psychic strength would definitely be discovered.
Therefore, the combination of xenos and powerful psychic abilities inevitably led to sensitivity, which forced Zhang Ge to make so arrangents regarding her attire.
Naturally, the conventional items like a psychic suppression collar were unnecessary to ntion. Zhang Ge even had the Battle Sisters procure ten rings made from Blackstone from the nobles' stockpiles.
These rings were crafted based on the psychic suppression properties discovered through long-term mining, research, and usage of Blackstone. They were akin to high-end amulets ant to protect the wearer from psychic influences to a certain extent... Though as of now, there had been no recorded instances of this thing actually "protecting the user," its suppression of psychics was undeniably effective.
Provided they remained undamaged, each Blackstone ring could exert an effect equivalent to or exceeding that of a suppression collar.
With all ten rings worn by the Eldar girl, along with the suppression collar, he figured they should be able to handle any inquiries from specialized personnel that might co around.
As he thought of this, Zhang Ge suddenly realized that he seed to be drifting further away from the traditional tenets of the Empire without even noticing.
This sign had actually appeared quite so ti ago. Just looking at the First chanized Regint under his command, although it was nominally a chanized regint, it had assembled the majority of the units that the Star Warriors could muster—from heavy armored units to infantry, from artillery to air force, and even Titans.
If one dug deeper, he would find that he had violated the Empire's prohibition against each regint having only a single type of unit. Even with a proper military departnt-issued establishnt, it would be enough to saddle him with the label of plotting rebellion.
But Zhang Ge's thoughts barely skimd over that before flowing toward the next part.
Indeed, a significant portion of the Empire's doctrines was based on experiences gleaned from countless blood and lives, but a fair bit of it was rely "traditions" that had beco aningless over ti or simply grotesque products of political struggles.
At this point, Zhang Ge held little interest in this bloated creation... Indeed, even the doctrines, if one considered the series of events related to the nobles, made it clear that a large part of it had completely rotted and distorted.
Fortunately, compared to those, including the Emperor, who were powerless to change the current situation, Zhang Ge could foresee a future where he would wield transformative power. He cared solely for humanity itself, rather than the twisted capital of the Empire built upon the foundation of "humanity."
Gathering his scattered thoughts, Zhang Ge redirected his attention to the present.
At this mont, he had arrived outside the door.
Not long ago, Zhang Ge had summoned a group of Battle Sisters and assigned them to help the xenos change attire. However, before their work could comnce, the Sisters made a unanimous request: "Please do not let the xenos' body defile your eyes."
While he himself didn't think rely seeing the xenos' body would lead to defilent, he'd always felt that one should not interfere in the affairs of those specifically responsible in areas they didn't fully understand. So he ultimately agreed and arrived outside.
Glancing at the ti, there was still so distance to go before the agreed half-Terra hour. Even with two Sisters in attendance, Zhang Ge felt sowhat bored waiting and had thought about making a few sound array communications to tease so acquaintances. But at that mont, he suddenly perceived so unusual signs in the sky.
Previously, for the convenience of troop movent, the encampnt had been set up within the sector and outside the Hive City—one could understand the entire "sector" as a vast, single-layer tal city encircled by walls, while various Hive Cities were towering spires within that tropolis. The encampnt was set up in the single-layer urban area outside these towers, and thus, he could see the sky above.
At this mont, in the sky, nurous crimson dots suddenly pierced through the clouds, densely clustered, spreading toward the distant horizon, casting a fiery orange hue over the whole sky and racing rapidly in all directions... There was no doubt this couldn't be so intelligent teor shower; it could only be a large number of high-speed airborne transport devices.
But the problem was, how could there be no alarms for such a large-scale aerial deploynt?
How had Chaos managed to paralyze the Auspex Array or the communication array?
In a state of bewildernt, Zhang Ge swiftly contacted Olivia. If the detection systems had indeed been completely paralyzed as he feared, to the extent that a deploynt of this scale couldn't be scanned, Olivia would likely be the most powerful scanning instrunt nearby.
"Olivia, scan for those things in the sky."
"Hmm, scanning... Those are from the Adeptus chanicus."
Since following Zhang Ge, Olivia had gradually co to understand so basic knowledge through interactions with various imperial factions; at the very least, she no longer referred to the Adeptus chanicus as "those little red-robed people."
"Adeputus chanicus? Reinforcents? Where could such a large-scale group co from, and why was I not inford?"
After confirming they were not enemies, Zhang Ge, sowhat doubting whether he had been marginalized, sent a communication request to Oston to inquire about the matter.
Upon hearing the question, Oston seed just as bewildered:
"Aren't these reinforcents you called for? Why would there be a need to inform you again?"
? What a joke, how could I possibly call for such a large-scale...
Wait a second.
Zhang Ge's mind raced, capturing fragnts of mory from just before, when they were fighting outside the Deadwood Sector.
He vaguely recalled that after Olivia had resurrected a group of Titans in public, a Tech-Priest had sternly claid to have called for reinforcents from the Hongbei Sector.
No way, you all ca for real??
