The woman asked Lin Fei in earnest.

Lin Fei said indifferently.

The woman paused for a mont, then introduced herself: "My na is Lu Zijin!"

Lin Fei asked Lu Zijin curiously.
"Mr. Lin, just call Zijin, that’s what my good friends call !"
Lu Zijin smiled sweetly.
"Alright, Zijin, then you can call Fei, everyone in the village likes to call that!"
Lin Fei chuckled.
"Mhm!"
Lu Zijin nodded, then continued speaking to Lin Fei: "I ca to your village for an investigation and study, who would have thought I’d be so unlucky to get bitten by a venomous snake, and eting you was my biggest fortune. If you hadn’t saved today, I would have been in big trouble!"
"Investigation and study?"
Lin Fei was taken aback.
Imdiately after, Lin Fei asked Lu Zijin: "Zijin, are you a leader or sothing to conduct an investigation and study in our village?"
"No, I’m no leader..."
Lu Zijin replied.
"Alright then!"
Lin Fei did not ask further about Lu Zijin’s personal information, he looked at Lu Zijin and asked, "How does your body feel now? Can you walk down the mountain?"
"Not really!"
Lu Zijin replied.
"So what do we do?"

At that mont, Lu Zijin’s stomach started to growl.
"Are you hungry?"

"How about this, I’ll carry you down the mountain, you can co to my house, and I’ll prepare sothing for you to eat!"
Lin Fei said to Lu Zijin.
"You carry ? That... doesn’t seem appropriate, does it?"
Lu Zijin hesitated.
"Zijin, if you mind, then never mind, we can wait a bit longer until you’ve fully recovered to walk down the mountain!"
Lin Fei fixed his gaze on Lu Zijin and said.
"Fei, it’s not what you think, I don’t mind you carrying , I just feel bad making you carry all the way down the mountain, it’s such a long distance and would be too much trouble for you!"
Lu Zijin expressed her thoughts.
Lin Fei inwardly sighed; Lu Zijin really was a considerate and good girl.
Lin Fei then gave Lu Zijin a broad smile and said, "Zijin, it’s fine, you have such a nice figure and you’re not heavy at all, it will be easy for to carry you down the mountain. Co on, hop on!"
After finishing his sentence, Lin Fei promptly squatted down in front of Lu Zijin.

Lu Zijin hesitated for a mont, but in the end, she bent down and lay on Lin Fei’s back.

Lin Fei said to Lu Zijin.

"Ahem, Zijin, you misunderstood. I didn’t an mine for you to eat. I’m going to cook noodles for you!"
Lin Fei realized that Lu Zijin had misunderstood and quickly explained to her.
"Oh..."
Lu Zijin’s face was still flushed with embarrassnt. She couldn’t believe her thoughts had strayed in that direction.
Lin Fei imdiately began preparations, cutting up so streaky bacon, and then prepped ingredients like garlic shoots, Sichuan pepper leaves, ginger, dried chili, and julienned potatoes for the side. He also grabbed two eggs.
He lit the fire, dropped in the lard, fried the bacon, cooked the eggs until they were done and put them on a plate, then stir-fried ginger and dried chili in the wok, followed by adding the potato slices and stirring them as well.
Once the potato slices turned golden, Lin Fei added water to a large pot and when it boiled, he imdiately put in the noodles. When the noodles were nearly cooked, he added the garlic shoots and Sichuan pepper leaves and finally seasoned it with salt, MSG, and soy sauce.
The rich farr-style noodles were ready, and both Lin Fei and Lu Zijin had a bowl each. Lin Fei also took out a bowl of pickled vegetables from the cupboard.
"Zijin, you must be starved, go ahead and eat!"
Lin Fei pushed a bowl of noodles in front of Lu Zijin, topped it with the fried eggs, and handed her a pair of chopsticks.
"Thank you!"
Lu Zijin took the chopsticks and began eating heartily, completely forgetting about maintaining a ladylike image.
Lin Fei also ate heartily.
Soon enough, both had finished a large bowl of noodles.
"Are you full? If it’s not enough, I can make so more noodles for you..."
Lin Fei looked at Lu Zijin.
"I’m full, I overate, and it feels great. The noodles you made are so delicious. I’ve never had noodles that tasted this good before!"
Lu Zijin patted her stomach.
"As long as you’re full, that’s good."
Lin Fei nodded.
"Fei, I want to..."
At that mont, Lu Zijin moved a bit closer to Lin Fei, her beautiful eyes scanning over him.
"What do you want to do?"
Lin Fei was very curious.
