On the way, the cat seed a little absent-minded, staring at Yang Zhen and saying, “Kid, the Seven Yin and Seven Yang Land is extraordinary, it’s said to be linked to the Nine Nether Purgatory. Don’t ss around, you may lose your life in there if not careful.”
Yang Zhen was taken aback and glanced around at the seemingly ordinary surroundings, asking, “Does the Nine Nether Purgatory really exist?”
The cat rolled its eyes at Yang Zhen and said, “Or did you think people made it up when they had nothing to do?”
A look of uncertainty flashed across Yang Zhen’s face, and he asked in confusion, “So what kind of place is the Nine Nether Purgatory?”
After coming to the world of Practitioners, this wasn’t the first ti that Yang Zhen had heard of the existence of the Nine Nether Purgatory. Yet it was sothing normal folks had never seen and more often only heard of in legends.
The existence of Nine Nether Purgatory sounded like hell as described on the Blue Planet. Could it be that after a person dies, they really go to hell?
The cat looked at Yang Zhen with a puzzled face, not imdiately answering his question, but curiously asked, “Why are you always so interested in the Nine Nether Purgatory?”
Yang Zhen snickered and said, “Instead of being interested in the Nine Nether Purgatory, I’m more curious about whether or not people go to the Nine Nether Purgatory after they die. But wait, after death, don’t people produce a Spirit Soul? If all those souls don’t go to the Nine Nether Purgatory, wouldn’t it be empty?”
The cat laughed out loud and said, “There are countless creatures in this world, only practitioners who have broken through to the Divine Transformation Stage will produce a Spirit Soul after death. Others just die, there’s no such thing as a Spirit Soul. And besides, Nine Nether Purgatory is not a place where creatures go after death.”
“So what kind of place is Nine Nether Purgatory?” Yang Zhen was more curious than ever.
The cat’s eyes flashed with a hint of confusion, even more intrigued than Yang Zhen. It uttered lightly, “Damn, I seem to know what the Nine Nether Purgatory is about. I seed to have gone in there, and yet I also seed not to have. I’ve even forgotten for a mont.”
After a series of ‘seems,’ Yang Zhen imdiately dismissed the unreliable cat with disdain. He pursed his lips and dropped the topic, asking, “Since the Seven Yin and Seven Yang Land is the border of the world of practitioners and Nine Nether Purgatory, there must be an entrance to the Nine Nether Purgatory. If we get a chance, why don’t we go in and see?”
The cat’s expression changed. Looking at Yang Zhen in surprise, it muttered to itself, “Holy moly, in all these years, I’ve never t anyone who had bigger guts than you. Don’t you care about your life?”
Yang Zhen sneered, saying, “Hasn’t anyone told you that I’m the Child of Heaven and Earth? Do you think the Child of Heaven and Earth would die easily?”
The cat shook its head, saying earnestly, “No one ever ntions it to . Really.”
Yang Zhen slapped the cat, saying impatiently, “Quit the nonsense, let’s hurry up and find the entrance to the Seven Yin and Seven Yang.”
The cat dodge Yang Zhen’s slap, sticking out its tongue and said, “No need to look, this is the entrance to the Seven Yin and Seven Yang.”
Yang Zhen looked at the peaceful hills and forests around him, widening his eyes and asking, “Are you sure this is it?”
As he spoke, he closed his eyes, gathering his spiritual consciousness and soul power to their utmost, but found nothing unusual around him. It was indeed rather strange.
“Wow, are there prohibitions that even this Sao Saint cannot detect?”
Hearing Yang Zhen’s mumbling, the cat explained, “This place is not any prohibition, but it is indeed the entrance to the Seven Yin and Seven Yang. Knowing that asking now wouldn’t get him anywhere, Yang Zhen simply closed his mouth. Luckily, the sly cat was reliable in this aspect. It was quick to make deductions from the slightest clues. No matter what the Yaochi Holy Land was planning, as long as soone relayed a word, he was certain the sly cat could judge the situation.
Upon entering Shield Emperor City, Practitioners he saw all around bore faces of excitent–people rushing here and there, as if preparing for sothing.
“Co on, kid, get moving. Yaochi Holy Land’s inheritor seems to be in Shield Emperor City now. Yunla the little monk might already know the arrangents,” the sly cat urged Yang Zhen, perched on his shoulder. Yang Zhen, patient as ever, joined the throng. Before he even entered the door, he sensed a powerful aura inside the building that made his spirit tense up.
This powerful aura could only be cultivated by soone from the Yaochi Holy Land—there was none other in the Western Region who could. Clearly, it was indeed the inheritor of the Yaochi Holy Land that had co to the Shield Emperor City.
Inside, Yang Zhen found Yunla and others already present. Among them was a young girl dressed in a yellow gown, tall and graceful. The powerful aura she radiated was not to be taken lightly.
It seed as though she sensed Yang Zhen’s aura. The girl in yellow turned around, a curious expression flashing across her face. Upon seeing Yang Zhen, she slightly pursed her lips, as if suppressing a smirk. She then spoke, “I presu you are the sa Yang Zhen who cultivated a hundred Heavenly Brilliances?”
Yang Zhen grinned, nodding, “Indeed, that’s . How should I address you, young lady, and what brings you to ?”
The girl in yellow had a playful look in her eyes. Suddenly more serious, she did a swift flick of her hand, and a cold light shot toward Yang Zhen.
Yang Zhen was stunned—this woman attacked without warning! Just as he was about to teach her a thing or two, he reached out and caught sothing that had suddenly halted in front of him.
It was warm in his hand, seemingly carrying her body heat; a soothing, sweet fragrance pervading—surely it ca from the woman in yellow.
Yang Zhen opened his palm to find an exceptionally exquisite jade pendant, carved with his na in 3D—absolutely beautiful!
“This is a token for the Yaochi Convention. You must keep it safe. Losing this token ans losing the qualification to enter the Yaochi Holy Land.”
Yang Zhen was taken aback. He quickly stowed away the token carefully and asked, “What is this Yaochi Convention? Oh, and you still haven’t told your na yet.”
The girl in yellow smiled faintly, looking deeply at Yang Zhen before saying, “Yunla, your Senior Brother, will explain what the Yaochi Convention is. As for my na, I’ll tell you when you enter the Yaochi Holy Land.”
With that, the girl in yellow walked past Yang Zhen, leaving behind a trail of her fragrant scent.
Yang Zhen, utterly dumbfounded, took in a few deep breaths. He curiously turned to Yunla and asked, “Brother Yun, what the heck is this Yaochi Convention?”
Yunla gave a bitter smile and explained the Yaochi Convention to Yang Zhen.
Listening to the explanation, Yang Zhen’s eyes nearly bulged out of his head. He exclaid, “Damn it! The freaking Yaochi Convention—isn’t this just the legendary Battle Royale ga?”
