Parting is the most heart-wrenching thing!
The two chatted for a while longer before getting ready to climb the mountain.
Along the way, they had indeed encountered many things. Luckily, they had successfully arrived for now.

According to the Pope’s description, this cave was the place of divine connection.
Inside the cave, there was a stone door. Ye Haochuan took out the Treasure Bead given by the Pope, which flashed with streaming light, slowly opening the stone door.
“Wow, this is too shabby, isn’t it?”
Entering through the stone door, Ye Haochuan was dumbfounded.
He originally thought, given the importance of Heaven-Penetrating Peak to the Holy See, it would at least be splendid. Who would’ve thought there’s nothing in the cave except a needle-shaped stone?
“Are you sure we haven’t gone the wrong way?” Long Keyue also looked skeptical.
“We’ll know by taking a look!” Ye Haochuan approached the stone to inspect it carefully.
The stone appeared black as coal, seemingly no different from ordinary rock. But as Ye Haochuan neared it, he sensed a slight spiritual energy fluctuation within the stone.
Suspicious, Ye Haochuan’s eyes flashed gold. Under Perspective Eyes, he saw that only the outer layer of the stone was black, while inside was a translucent light blue crystal.
“Damn, has this been unused for tens of thousands of years?”
Ye Haochuan said irritably, quickly peeling away the stone layer.
It was his first ti feeling that the old Pope might have been deceiving him. If it were so easy to communicate with the Chief God, why would this thing be left here for so long?
“Look, there are grooves here, probably for placing this sphere!” Long Keyue suddenly pointed out.
Following Long Keyue’s finger, Ye Haochuan saw seven grooves beneath the crystal stone, each of different size. Above each groove was a carving.
These carvings depicted Western angels, but with different winged backs.
“Seven grooves, does that an there should be seven such spheres?” Ye Haochuan questioned skeptically.
If there were truly seven spheres, yet the Pope only provided them with one, does this indicate that the Pope hasn’t placed all his hopes on them? Maybe others with the second sphere will co to try after them.
The more Ye Haochuan thought, the more plausible it seed, as it was the safest way for the Pope.
“Damn, they’ve made us sacrificial pawns. If we’re captured by the evil sect, it won’t affect their plans.”
Ye Haochuan was utterly furious.
Though he could understand such decisions from the higher-ups, being part of it unsettled him nonetheless.
“Since we’re already here, what’s the point in thinking so much?” Long Keyue appeared calr, saying, “First is the six-winged, followed by three four-winged and three two-winged. Check which groove our sphere fits into!”
Ye Haochuan quelled his displeasure, trying the sphere on each groove.
Eventually, the sphere fit perfectly into the fourth groove.
“Four-winged angel, not bad!” Long Keyue chuckled.
Rumble~
Just as she finished speaking, the crystal stone began to tremble violently. A blue beam of light promptly shot out from the crystal’s top, piercing through the mountain peak, and soaring into the sky.
At that mont, the entire White Court Origin Realm trembled.
In the Holy City, the battle between Xuann and the Evil Sect raged intensely. With Ye Hao and Yang Sen, the two War Gods, abstaining from the fight, Xuann was suffering significant losses.
In just a few days, Xuann’s fighters had reduced by more than thirty percent.
If not for the array masters of Xuann strengthening the defensive array over Holy City, along with the remaining protective shield from the Holy See, Xuann would have been retreating disasterly by now.
These days, the Pope had been watching the direction of Heaven-Penetrating Peak, but never saw the outco he desired.
As Ye Haochuan suspected, besides Ye Haochuan and his team, the Pope had sent two other teams ahead. But several days had passed without any response.
Coincidentally, current communication breakdowns prevented confirming their situations, leaving the Pope very anxious.
Considering the current battle situation, if the Evil Sect continued their fierce attack, Yang Sen and Ye Hao would be forced to intervene. By then, all arrangents would be in vain.
Luckily, just as hope was fading, the long-awaited blue beam finally rose.
“Quick, inform the two Xuann lords to prepare for the planned execution!” The Pope, exceedingly thrilled, spoke with a trembling voice to an attendant beside him.
“No need to inform, we’ve seen it too!”
Before the attendant could leave, two black-robed figures appeared by their side.
These days, the two War Gods felt ti dragging painfully slow. Several tis, they almost couldn’t resist taking action.
“The ones sent to evacuate should also have arrived, right?” Yang Sen asked with a grave expression.

So, at the first hint of losing contact, he sent soone to search for Ye Haochuan and the others. However, there’s still no word on whether they succeeded or not.
“I bet that kid is cunning enough to escape in ti!” Ye Hao muttered softly.
“Hmph!” Yang Sen snorted, glaring displeasedly at Ye Hao.
These two friends, once close, had quarreled multiple tis over Ye Haochuan’s situation in recent days.
Ye Hao, knowing he was at fault, didn’t confront Yang Sen, silently watching the blue beam’s location.
Soon after, a hurried figure appeared—Ji Song, who else?
“The Evil Sect surely took the bait, sending over ten Nascent Soul cultivators towards Heaven-Penetrating Peak.” Ji Song’s expression revealed a hint of joy.
“More than ten? How can they possibly withstand that?” Yang Sen said through gritted teeth, “No, I must rescue them!”
“Brother Yang, calm down!” Ye Hao quickly grabbed him, “There are more than ten Nascent Soul Experts on their side; charging in won’t help. We must focus on evacuating Xuann safely; don’t let minor issues ruin big plans!”
Yang Sen gritted his teeth, eager to rush out but eventually stayed rational, snorted coldly, and did not insist.
