Chapter 891: Esoteric Aura
On Challenge Ring 49, a golden light lit up the entire Death Corner Fighting Ring. A destructive force covered the entire ring. Everyone’s gaze was drawn to the shocking aura.
In the golden light, Mo Wen looked as if he was made of flas. His entire body was enveloped in golden flas. For so reason, his hands had suddenly beca bigger. They were almost the size of round cushions. They looked like the hands of a giant and were a little out of place on him... The palms glimred with light and looked like a glowing piece of amber. The mysterious forces swirled around his hands.
Anyone who had so knowledge would be able to tell at once that it was an esoteric power.
Warriors who cultivated to the stage where they could beco immortals would begin to understand esoteric power. As a rite of passage martial art, its power would only be completely released when used together with profound aning. In other words, only warriors who had beco immortals would be able to use rite of passage martial arts completely.
The rite of passage martial arts that Mo Wen already used had an esoteric aura. Even though it was minimal, it was also very scary. It ant that he had reached a high level in this rite of passage martial arts.
“Esoteric Aura! That is a difficult power to grasp for those who have not yet beco immortal. But he has managed to cultivate a rite of passage martial arts to such a level!”
A monk standing in the square stared at challenge ring 49 in shock. He was none other than “Wine and at Monk”, the person who currently ranked third. Even though he was from the Buddhist Sect, he consud at and alcohol and was one of the rare strange practitioners from the Buddhist Sect.
“This Mo Wen is shocking. He is so young, yet he managed to learn a rite of passage martial arts to this level.”
Water Deity was also very shocked. Her understanding of Mo Wen had once again been renewed. It was very difficult to understand a rite of passage martial arts if one had not yet beco an immortal. Wanting to cultivate a rite of passage martial art to the point where it had an esoteric aura and for there to be an underlying esoteric rule was even harder than ascending to heaven.
It could be said that cultivating in a few rite of passage martial arts at one ti was not as shocking as achieving an esoteric aura in one single rite of passage martial art.
“You...”
Zhang Feng felt an imnse sense of threat rising from her heart. It was as if there was a dark shadow enveloping her from within. She felt extrely uncomfortable and afraid, just as a person would feel when she sensed death creeping toward her.
She was very shocked and pale, and she backed away without any hesitation. In just a re mont, she had already backed several hundred ters away. At this mont, she just wanted to get as far away from Mo Wen as possible. She could not understand. It had only been a few days since she last saw Mo Wen. How did he beco so terrifying?
However, hiding evidently would not solve the problem. Mo Wen had cultivated in the Glory of Wind. Within a short distance, there were not many warriors who were beneath the immortal realm who could hide from him if he wished to kill them.
A ray of golden light appeared in front of Zhang Feng silently. The giant pair of hands swatted down viciously.
“Damn it!”
Zhang Feng’s expression changed drastically. Given the imnse danger, she could not wait anymore. She released her most powerful power in that instant. A terrifying force exploded from within her with her as its epicenter. The challenge ring instantly turned into a storm of inner Qi. Rays of startling corrosive green light enveloped her, and she transford into a ball of green light. Green tentacles stretched out from above the ball of light. Those tentacles were as thick as arms and whipped at Mo Wen with a startling amount of power.
The air around the tentacles twisted and turned because of the tentacles. It was as if they could cause a mountain to collapse or tear through a river. Ordinary martial arts warriors would be whipped to death if they faced an attack of such power.
However, Mo Wen was not afraid of such power. The trajectory of his hands did not change. Rays of golden flas appeared in his palms.
Puff! Puff! Puff!
The green tentacles hit Mo Wen’s palms. However, the collision did not cause an explosion. Instead, the tentacles disappeared at a speed visible to the naked eye. In just re monts, more than ten green tentacles dissipated, turning into balls of green smoke. Then, they were burned to ashes by the flas.
“How is that possible?”
Zhang Feng inhaled sharply in shock. She could not believe it. She had used all the corrosive power she had collected for so many years, but she had not managed to withstand a single blow.
She sensed that Mo Wen was not that powerful and his cultivation levels were lower than hers. Yet, how did sothing like that happen? She had not even managed to withstand a single blow and all her attacks were easily mitigated. She did not know what kind of power Mo Wen wielded but she could sense that it was much more powerful than hers. It exerted a rather shocking pressure on her imperceptibly.
Puff! Puff!
Zhang Feng’s corrosive powers were no match for Mo Wen’s hands. Her powerful inner Qi was not of any use at all and it practically collapsed and failed at a single prod.
A pair of amber-colored flaming large hands gradually grew larger before her eyes. The almost unlockable power caused her to collapse completely. Her desire to live made her want to flee imdiately. Yet, she was frightened and shocked to realize that she had been bound by an invisible power. She could barely move her body without difficulty. It was an indescribable power. It was not very strong, but it made one feel hopeless. It was like the laws and rules between heaven and earth. If she could not break these rules, then no matter how powerful she was, she would not be able to do anything.
“Esoteric Power! No... That’s impossible...”
Zhang Feng seed to have thought of sothing at that mont. Her pupils widened and she looked extrely shocked. Her face was as white as a sheet. It was the legendary esoteric power. How was that possible! Wasn’t that sothing only warriors who had beco immortals could grasp?
“No... I admit defeat... I admit defeat...”
Zhang Feng had completely lost any desire to fight. She was furiously trying to escape the force that could lead her to her death. On the Death Corner Fighting Ring, they could only admit defeat after 15 minutes. This applied to both the competitors and the criminals. The fight had not started long ago. Unless the other party allowed her to admit defeat, her declaration would be invalid.
It was obvious that Mo Wen had no intention of letting her off. His eyes were extrely cold. He had never been lenient to those who tried to kill him.
Almost without any suspense, the terrifying flas drowned Zhang Feng and she turned into ashes in re monts.
...
All was silent on the square. So people looked at challenge ring 49 with stiff expressions. No one expected that Zhang Feng, the tyrannical old woman of the heart of the Red Stone, would die on the challenge ring. Furthermore, she had died so miserably. She almost had no power to resist Mo Wen’s attack.
What power was that? It was terrifying!
“Holy cr*p, he’s so young, but he has grasped the esoteric aura. He managed to cultivate a rite of passage martial arts to such a high level. This little monster is practically the second Madman Xiao.”
Guo ngqiao erged from her shock. She blew a raspberry. She had never thought that Mo Wen would be so crazily talented. Chou Tong, who was standing beside Guo ngqiao was also shocked to the point of being speechless. He had thought that Mo Wen was incredible for entering the Martial Arts Grandmaster Palace Hall at such a young age. He even once thought that he was much more powerful than Mo Wen. Even though they were both from the Martial Arts Grandmaster Palace Hall, he did not have much hope for Mo Wen in the Heaven List Tournant.
Who would have thought that this Mo Wen would be so powerful? He was probably the strongest person from the Martial Arts Grandmaster Palace in this Heaven List Tournant.
“He has understood the esoteric aura. Doesn’t that an that the probability of him becoming an immortal in the future will be very high?” Chou Tong said with envy that could not be hidden.
It was the Becoming an Immortal Realm! Even though he was also a famous genius from Huatian Palace, he did not dare to think too much about becoming an immortal. To beco an immortal, you needed opportunity, understanding, and to cultivate hard. However, those who understood the esoteric aura had already touched the threshold to so esotericism. Even though it was just a tiny bit and was far from the real esoteric rules, it was at least a step in the right direction. It would be much easier to enter through this door later.
Of those who understood the esoteric aura, at least one-third of them would be able to beco immortals. The probability was relatively high.
“It’s a little difficult.” Sword Addict White Dust frowned. He had already been at loggerheads with Mo Wen. He had not minded before this. Yet, right now, the young man was good enough for him to take seriously.
“This is really shocking. I fear that the martial arts circle will have yet another young warrior who will beco an immortal soon.” A flash of color appeared in the eyes of a graceful woman who was enveloped in a fog. Even amongst the hidden martial arts strain, it had been a century since there was a warrior who beca an immortal before 50 years old. Mo Wen might beco the youngest warrior to beco an immortal in a hundred years.
Lord rciless’s expression was also very ugly. He appeared so cold and dark he could almost freeze a person. He had never thought that Mo Wen would beco so powerful just a few days after they last t. Furthermore, the esoteric aura... That was a power he had always dread of! As the top genius of the Blood Evil Temple, he had a large number of cultivation resources. He even had ancestors who had beco immortals who guided him in his cultivation of rites of passage martial arts especially. It was not that he did not have the ability to cultivate in a second or third rite of passage martial arts. As long as he had the guidance of ancestors who had already beco immortals, given his talent, it would not be much of a problem for him to understand one or two types of rite of passage martial arts.
Yet, in martial arts, the worse thing was to learn many different things and not be good at any. A person had limits in their abilities and could not be good at everything. As such, rather than understanding a few different rite of passage martial arts, he might as well focus on just one. The chances of him understanding the esoteric aura would be much higher. Once he managed to understand, it would an that he was on his way to becoming an immortal.
“D*mn it.”
Lord rciless clenched his hands into a tight fist. The realm that he had dread about had been understood by that lad Mo Wen.
Shao Ji was so shocked he could not speak. An enormously powerful powerhouse in the third Martial Arts Grandmaster Realm had died just like that. Mo Wen had beco so powerful.
Many people on the Death Corner Fighting Ring were silent. Many felt that the situation was incredulous, and many more felt afraid.
The way the criminals looked at Mo Wen had already changed completely. The man was a fiend, and they must not provoke him at all costs. Earlier, those who fought against Zhang Feng were all secretly pleased that they had lived. Zhang Feng had died so easily. If they had gone up against him there probably would not be any difference in the result.
Furthermore, the spectators of the competition in the Dragon City, which was far away across space, started to make a stir. The matter did not just impact the Death Corner Fighting Ring.
“The esoteric aura! I have underestimated you all this ti.”
Ling Feng sat alone in a corner. When he looked at Mo Wen, who was still on the challenge ring, complicated emotions flashed through his eyes. By the ti he had understood the esoteric aura, he was almost 50 years old. Even so, he had been considered to be one of the top geniuses back then. But this Mo Wen was only 20...!
Ling Feng looked at Mo Wen. He felt as if he could see his past self. In his eyes, a story no one else knew about played.
