Chapter 524: Eight Major Sects

Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio

Before anyone knew it, three days had passed since the climactic battle between the Sacred Fla Sect and the Intentionless Sect.

The Intentionless Sect had defeated the Sacred Fla Sect. This result had been unimaginable just a few days earlier. In the Green Ancient Mystery Dinsion, every household, be it ancient martial art practitioner or normal citizen, were exchanging stories about the battles between the Intentionless Sect and the Sacred Fla Sect.

Both of the Sacred Fla Sect sect leaders had died. Of the twenty or so elders that had descended upon the Intentionless Sect, only eight had managed to escape alive.

This battle record was deeply shocking. In the Green Ancient Mystery Dinsion, it had been said that the Intentionless Sect was declining, the next generation unable to match or outshine the previous. Among the Eight Major Factions of the Eight Major Districts, although the Intentionless Sect was not at the bottom, it was still among the bottom three. If this hadn’t been the case, the Sacred Fla Sect would not have dared to mobilize their entire sect to attack the Intentionless Sect.

Many people were suspicious as to whether the Intentionless Sect had always been hiding their abilities. On the surface, they seed to be in decline, but in reality they were actually very powerful, so powerful that they could easily defeat the Sacred Fla Sect and kill two interdiate stage Golden Elixir realm sect leaders.

No matter what people believed, the battle had undoubtedly pushed the Intentionless Sect out into the open. Many powerful factions in the Green Ancient Mystery Dinsion had already begun to take notice of the Intentionless Sect.

There were even so people who compared the Intentionless Sect with the Five Beasts Sect. They believed that the Intentionless Sect was not weaker than the Five Beasts Sect, and could well be even more powerful.

In the Green Ancient Mystery Dinsion, the Five Beasts Sect was established as the strongest of the ancient martial art practitioner sects among the major factions in the Eight Major Districts. They were far superior to normal factions. Rumor had it that the sect had more than three interdiate stage Golden Elixir realm ancient martial art practitioners.

Aside from the Five Beasts Sect, in the number two spot was the Purple Qi Pavilion. Rumor had it that the Purple Qi Pavilion was the oldest faction in the Green Ancient Mystery Dinsion. Its history among the Eight Major Factions was the longest. Very few people knew how powerful the Purple Qi Pavilion was. They only knew that the Purple Qi Pavilion knew many things that others didn’t. Regarding the Green Ancient Mystery Dinsion, they knew more about it than any other ancient martial art practitioner faction.

The reason the Purple Qi Pavilion was placed second was because their mbers kept a very low profile, very rarely coming into disputes with others. Almost no one knew how powerful the Purple Qi Pavilion was. They were completely different from the Five Beasts Sect’s hard-edge style. Hence, the Purple Qi Pavilion was placed second.

As for the third, it was the Weapon Forging Sect who were skilled in forging weapons. The mbers of this sect were proficient in weapons; there were masters of all eighteen different types of weapons within the sect. Also, within this sect, not only did they have high mastery of the usage of weapons, they were also peerless in the Green Ancient Mystery Dinsion for their skill in forging weapons. Almost all the sects in the Green Ancient Mystery Dinsion would seek the Weapon Forging Sect to trade for weapons. Hence the Weapon Forging Sect had a high position in the Green Ancient Mystery Dinsion. Very few people were willing to offend them.

In fourth place was the dical Sect. As their na suggested, their strengths were based in dical skills. However, the mbers of the dical Sect not only had dical skills, they were all also powerful ancient martial art practitioners. Also, a dical Sect ancient martial art practitioner was far more difficult to deal with compared to an ordinary ancient martial art practitioner. People who knew how to save lives would naturally know how to kill.

In the Green Ancient Mystery Dinsion, few ancient martial art practitioner sects were willing to offend the mbers of the dical Sect. Among the major factions of the Eight Major Districts, the one sect that no one dared to provoke was not the Five Beasts Sect but the dical Sect instead. After all, in the world of ancient martial art practitioners, who could avoid getting injured? So injuries could only be treated by the dical Sect’s ancient martial art practitioners.

In fifth place was the Sacred Fla Sect. Although the Sacred Fla Sect’s power was very strong, very likely a level higher than that of the dical Sect, when it ca to influence, the Sacred Fla Sect lagged far behind. They were not even on the sa level. Hence, they could only be placed below the dical Sect.

Among the Eight Major Factions, the Intentionless Sect was placed seventh. In reality, the reason the Intentionless Sect could place seventh was because, many years ago, the Intentionless Sect had been strong beyond compare and had an extraordinary background. Otherwise, they would not necessarily have been placed before the eighth place Xingyi Sect.

News of the Intentionless Sect’s victory over the Sacred Fla Sect caused the Intentionless Sect to once again rise to the forefront of the Green Ancient Mystery Dinsion’s many ancient martial art practitioner factions. At the sa ti, it was also held in high esteem at an unprecedented level by the other sects.

Many ancient martial art practitioner sects sent representatives to the Intentionless Sect’s door the next day to congratulate them on defeating their centuries old rival, the Sacred Fla Sect.

When the Intentionless Sect had been surrounded by the Sacred Fla Sect, none of these factions had co to their aid. Even the sects that were usually on good terms with the Intentionless Sect had not taken any action. Now that the storm had passed and all was calm, the visitors were breaking through the thresholds and constantly coming to give gifts.

Chen Wuhui was very calm towards these proceedings. In his heart he knew all too well that between ancient martial art practitioner factions, there were only benefits and no emotions. Even sects who usually were on good terms with each other could stab each other in the back at any ti if there was the temptation of benefits.

Because of the grand victory of the Intentionless Sect, the Qingzhen District beca more and more prosperous. The only tragedy was the Jianyou Sect who had chosen the wrong side and had offended too many of Qingzhen District’s ancient martial art practitioner sects in their struggle for power. Before this, many had not dared to speak out against them, only fuming in silence as the Sacred Fla Sect was bearing down their necks.

Now, the Sacred Fla Sect had lost and both their sect leaders had perished. These ancient martial art practitioner sects would naturally not need to hold back anymore. They attacked together and completely destroyed the Jianyou Sect, ending its brief mont of glory. The Intentionless Sect did not even need to make a move.

As for the Sacred Fla Sect, they were even more pathetic. They had been a major sect in Qingli District. Now that they had lost and their two sect leaders had died in battle, they naturally could not maintain their position as a major sect. Few people gave tily help, many added insult to injury and even more had ulterior motives.

Also, in recent years, in order to solidify their influence in the Qingli District, the Sacred Fla Sect had offended quite a few ancient martial art practitioner sects. In the Qingli District, there were more than twenty ancient martial art practitioner factions that united to overthrow the Sacred Fla Sect. All the ancient martial art practitioners of the Sacred Fla Sect beca strays. Even the ancient martial art practitioners at the rank of elder could only hide in the corners, not daring to reveal themselves. When a wall was about to collapse, everyone gave it a push. The Sacred Fla Sect right now had practically been eliminated.

Originally Mo Wen had been interested in the Sacred Fla Sect’s treasures. Regrettably the Qingli District was too far from the Intentionless Sect and he could not reach it in ti. By the ti he responded, the Sacred Fla Sect had almost been divided up by the various large ancient martial art practitioner sects in the Qingli District. The Intentionless Sect could only watch and couldn’t do anything. After all, the Intentionless Sect was a faction of the Qingzhen District. They did not have the influence to reach such a faraway place as the Qingli District. It could be said that to so degree, the Intentionless Sect defeating the Sacred Fla Sect had completely benefited other people.

However, the Intentionless Sect was not left empty-handed. This ti, while the Sacred Fla Sect mobilized their entire sect to attack the Intentionless Sect, the resources that they had brought along weren’t few. For example, they had the psychedelic array that surrounded the inner city. Zhu Lanhuo and Li Zhuoying had carried a few of the sect’s treasures on them, and among them were two spiritual weapons. Right now, all of them had ended up in the hands of the Intentionless Sect.

Aside from the spiritual weapons and stratagem which were the real treasures, the other things that the Sacred Fla Sect had, the Intentionless Sect also had. So, they did not need to be too concerned about them.

Ever since they had been victorious against the Sacred Fla Sect, Mo Wen found a quiet sealed room and locked himself inside. He did not do so to practice as with his current cultivation, improving further was too difficult. Ro was not built in a day. Only with years of accumulation could he have so sort of breakthrough.

This ti, he had locked himself up in order to concoct various types of panacea. Before this he had no spiritual dicine and did not et the conditions, so he could not concoct many types of panacea. But now, it was different. For Mo Wen, the Intentionless Sect was practically a treasure trove. With the Intentionless Sect’s resources, he felt that he was unhindered and free.

After five days, Mo Wen ca out of the sealed room. He had just walked out the door and stretched when he saw Chen Zi walk over. She had been waiting for a long ti. Once she saw Mo Wen co out, she imdiately walked over.

“What does the lovely Young Mistress Chen have to do with ?” Mo Wen said lazily as he stretched.

“Are you free? My grandfather is looking for you to discuss so matters.” Chen Zi rolled her eyes at Mo Wen.

“Then let’s go.” Mo Wen nodded his head, following Chen Zi and heading towards the Intentionless Sect’s chamber of affairs. Although he did not know why Chen Wuhui was looking for him, he would certainly not look for Mo Wen without reason.

Chen Zi walked in front. Her gaze would occasionally shift towards Mo Wen. She had mixed feelings in her heart. Who would have imagined that her initial decision would save the entire Intentionless Sect? If she had not decided to bring Mo Wen to the Intentionless Sect before the final battle, what would have been the end result?

A sense of thrill as well as fear welled up inside of her. Luckily, there were no ifs. All was very well.

“What are you looking at? Are there flowers on my face?” Mo Wen glanced sideways at Chen Zi. What was so good-looking about him? He was not so vain as to believe that he was so handso that won could not take their eyes off him.

“Although you aren’t handso, you are quite good-looking,” Chen Zi said as she smiled radiantly and nodded her head.

“You’re crazy.” Mo Wen silently cursed inside.

The chamber of affairs was situated in the Mindfulness Hall. It was different from the great hall, just a small room to discuss matters. It was not large, only being able to accommodate around ten people. But the people who could discuss matters here were certainly the leaders of the Intentionless Sect.

The Intentionless Sect’s sect leader, Chen Wuhui sat in the main seat. He was silently sipping a cup of tea. Chen Zikuang was seated beside him. His mood seed to be good, occasionally revealing a smile.

Aside from these two people, there were three other people in the room. All of them were Intentionless Sect elders and their positions were not low. One of them was the Intentionless Sect’s sect grand elder, Xia Kunqian.

Mo Wen and Chen Zi had just entered through the door, when everyone in the room stood up together, even the Intentionless Sect’s sect leader Chen Wuhui. This level of decorum was rare. Even if the sect leaders of the major factions in the Eight Major Districts ca, they would most likely not have done so.

“Little friend Mo Wen, it is quite difficult to find you. I’ve asked Zi’er to wait outside your practice room for three days before she has managed to invite you over.” Chen Wuhui laughed loudly, taking large steps forward to welco Mo Wen.

“Old Grandfather Chen seems to be in a good mood,” Mo Wen said laughing.

“Of course, how can he not be? We have eliminated the Sacred Fla Sect, therefore resolving the bane of the Intentionless Sect. We really have to thank little friend Mo Wen for this matter,” Chen Zi was glowing red and all smiles.

“I wonder what Old Grandfather Chen wishes to see for?” Mo Wen asked.

“In the Green Ancient Mystery Dinsion, sothing has happened that is related to , but at the sa ti it isn’t really. Do you know why the Sacred Fla Sect sect leader Zhu Lanhuo was so anxious to take down the Intentionless Sect before this, to the point of being willing to pay such a high price in order to achieve it?” Chen Wuhui said.

“Oh, why?” Mo Wen asked curiously. He actually did not know about this matter. He believed that the reason why Zhu Lanhuo was so anxious to attack was related to him killing ten of the Sacred Fla Sect elders. Now, it seed that it was not so.
