Mo Wen had finally beco the official sect leader of the Dafang Sect. Now, whatever he said could not be defied!
This title was practically no different than him being the emperor! However, he still had no sense of belonging in the the Dafang Sect. This wasn’t helped by the real reason he had co to the sect: to plunder it! So, he naturally did not care about the laws that the Dafang Sect ancestors had set!
Now that he was the sect leader, he naturally would bend rules to the way he preferred them. So, for the next few days, Mo Wen left the three aristocratic families to one side, ordering them to rebuild the sect. After ordering them to restore the sect buildings that were damaged in the battle, he then directly hid in the sect leader’s palace for a few days.
This was because he wanted to attend to Wang Yinru’s injuries, which were increasing in severity. After quickly handling the matters of the Dafang Sect, he was able to focus all his energy on treating Wang Yinru. After all, such serious injuries would be fatal if he delayed even a few more days.
Luckily, Mo Wen’s dical skills were superb. Especially after he had inherited Ji Wuya’s dicine sage inheritance, his understanding of dical skills had reached an entirely new realm.
In fact, it could be said that now, calling him the Miracle Physician would be the real deal. After all, he had not only mastered ordinary dical skills, but had also mastered the dical skills of the Immortal Cultivator world!
Of course, Ji Wuya had many astonishing achievents in his life, so Mo Wen could not possibly learn all of his abilities instantly. Now, he was just beginning to receive the inheritance, having just grazed its surface.
However, the dicine sage’s inheritance was still in his body. As ti passed, his understanding of pill arts and dical skills beca deeper and deeper. Such was how he began to comprehend the dicine sage’s lifeti of learning.
But, even though Mo Wen’s dical skills were astonishing, Wang Yinru’s injuries were too severe. Her insides were damaged and her core was shattered. Under normal circumstances, she would be as good as dead.
Although he could treat Wang Yinru’s wounds until they healed, it was very hard to restore her cultivation. This was because her core was shattered. As she was an ancient martial arts practitioner, this ant that her cultivation was crippled.
Of course, he could redy this! The only thing that what was stopping him wasn’t his lack of dical skill, but rather the lack of proper materials!
He knew many types of pills that could restore Wang Yinru’s core and completely restore her Inner Qi, but did not have access to the dicinal herbs he needed to concoct these pills, as they were very precious. He also needed to use spiritual dicines.
With such short notice, it was very difficult for Mo Wen to get his hands on these dicinal herbs. After a few days of treatnt, Wang Yinru’s injuries were at least recovering a bit each day. Her face had even started looking more rosy and her skin had sloughed off a dead top layer, becoming fairer and smoother.
Once again, she had beco a great beauty! In fact, aside from having no cultivation, as well as having not recovered completely from so of her severe internal injuries, she did not have the appearance of a sick person.
After a few more days had passed, Mo Wen gathered a few of the Dafang Sect experts and started restructuring the Dafang Sect’s internal organization. When the Jiang Clan had been in power, many important positions were taken by their own people. Even the three aristocratic families had a hard ti getting their people placed in roles of importance.
Now that the Jiang Clan had been eradicated, several positions of true power and authority had naturally beco vacant. For Mo Wen, the Dafang Sect did not have any talented people worthy of such positions. At the sa ti, there were no experts that were worth his ti bringing in from the outside.
So, he decided that he could only focus his energy on their wealth, not their talent. A sect’s wealth naturally would be astonishing, so he definitely would want to get his hands on all of it!
An example would be the role of treasury elder. This position was very important, as it involved managing the Dafang Sect’s resources and finances. Under normal circumstances, there would be three treasury elders, who would manage the treasury together, keeping track of the sect’s wealth. The previous three treasury elders were all mbers of the Jiang Clan. So naturally, the positions had to be filled again.
Mo Wen did not choose mbers from the three aristocratic families to manage the treasury. Instead, he chose normal disciples from the sect. Following Zhou Honglu advice, he decided to not completely trust the three aristocratic families, instead cultivating his own confidants.
“Hmm? How is it that the Dafang Sect’s treasure trove has so few things?” Mo Wen walked around the Dafang Sect’s treasure trove, then walked out with an ugly expression on his face.
The Dafang Sect was a dignified and large sect, but the things in its treasure trove were surprisingly few. Also, none of the things caught his eye. In other words, there was nothing good inside at all!
Logically speaking, it is impossible for a large sect to have so few things! Could it be that, during the chaos, the three aristocratic families did sothing with the treasure trove?
Mo Wen shot an unfriendly gaze at the Zhou Clan’s old clan leader, Zhou Honglu. Mo Wen had abolished his title of sect grand elder and granted him the title of Senate Veteran instead. Simply put, it was just an empty title, the type that had no authority and could not participate in official sect matters.
“Sect leader, that has nothing to do with the three aristocratic families.” Zhou Honglu laughed bitterly, then helplessly said, “The inside of the Dafang Sect’s treasure trove has long been empty, having been plundered by others. In other words, the Jiang Clan’s treasure trove is where the true Dafang Sect’s treasures lie.”
Within the Dafang Sect, there had always been five aristocratic families. For important places in the sect, like the treasure troves, it was deed that they should be controlled by all of the aristocratic families, rather than just one. As such, utilizing the treasure troves’ resources could only happen with the unanimous approval of all five of the aristocratic families.
Hence, within the sect, there had always been a distinction between the sect treasure trove and the five aristocratic families’ treasure troves. However, ever since the Wang Clan was destroyed and the Jiang Clan seized power, the sect treasure trove beca the Jiang Clan’s personal treasure trove. After this occurred, they unbridledly occupied the sect’s resources, resulting in the sect’s treasure trove being completely depleted.
Over the years, the Jiang Clan kept plundering the sect’s resources, hoarding the sect’s wealth as their own. All of these riches were used to support their own clan, so the Jiang Clan beca more and more prosperous. This resulted in them far exceeding the three aristocratic families in all aspects.
“Ahhh, so that’s why...” Mo Wen’s eyes sparkled. The Jiang Clan was clever, knowing how to move the treasure trove back to their own ho.
“Co on, let’s go over to the Jiang Clan. Back then, the Jiang Clan shalessly destroyed our Wang Clan, committing a cri against God and humanity. Now, the Jiang Clan’s personal treasure trove will serve as compensation.” Mo Wen waved his hand, striding towards the Jiang Clan’s area. Every aristocratic family had an area in the Dafang Sect, which was the private territory of the aristocratic family. However, now that the Jiang Clan had been eradicated, the area was empty.
Zhou Honglu and a group of the Dafang Sect elders followed behind Mo Wen. The corner of their mouths twitched and they were scolding Mo Wen for being shaless in their hearts. Before this, the sect’s treasure trove had still belonged to the sect. But now that it was the Jiang Clan’s treasure trove, it beca his personal belonging by default.
However, they could only resent him inside their hearts. No one dared to bring it up.
The Jiang Clan’s area was very big, far larger than that of the three aristocratic families. The environnt was beautiful and its facilities were well-kept. From the looks of their lush territory, the Jiang Clan’s power and status could clearly be seen.
“Have you found the Jiang Clan’s treasure trove yet?” Mo Wen strolled around a garden, admiring the blossoming flowers and the fish that were swimming in the water.
Places like these treasure troves were very important places for any clan. They were usually hidden deep within secret places that would be hard for outsiders to find. This was because they did not want them to be robbed. After an hour, Zhou Honglu and his n had found several treasure troves. However, all of them were fakes, built only as decoys.
This gave Mo Wen even more hope, as the Jiang Clan would not have placed such importance on an empty or worthless treasure trove! After their plundering of the Dafang Sect for dozens of years, it was needless to say how astonishing the wealth inside might be!
A loud thud sounded, as though a house had collapsed. A group of people suddenly appeared, seemingly out of nowhere, with grey heads and dirt-covered faces.
“Elder, we found the treasure trove, but we cannot enter it!” A person dashed forth and reported the news. He was covered in ash, clearly having just coming out from the collapsed buildings.
“Cannot enter?” Zhou Honglu stared at him. These were the people of the Qi Nucleation realm, who had followed along to seek out the treasure trove. He was surprised that they had actually found a place that they could not enter.
“In your opinion, should we go over now, or wait until the treasure trove is opened?” Zhou Honglu stared at Mo Wen. Since the treasure trove had been uncovered, it would be opened shortly.
“Let’s go over now,” Mo Wen said, sowhat interested.
For even Qi Nucleation realm ancient martial art practitioners to not be able to enter it, the treasure trove must be sealed quite tight! The Jiang Clan mbers most probably did not skimp on their precautions. The more he thought about it, the more his anticipation grew.
The group of people walked towards the collapsed buildings. The surrounding houses had all collapsed as well. Clearly, soone had exerted brute force on them.
Among the pile of rubble, there was a tunnel that had been dug by a few disciples. It was two to three ters deep and there was an iron door mounted onto the ground. It was not a large door, but it emitted a cold light. Under the refraction of the sunlight, the tallic appearance of the door was enhanced, causing it to emit an eerie aura.
“Zhou Quan, was it this door that blocked your way?” Zhou Honglu shouted at a middle-aged man, who had a grey head and a dirt-covered face, as he pointed at the iron door.
This person was a mber of the Zhou Clan, who had the cultivation of the Qi Nucleation realm. Zhou Honglu was sowhat displeased with him for not completing the task properly.
“Third Uncle, that door is too tough. With no key, I could only try to forcefully break it down. In the end, the rest of the house basically collapsed, but I still did not manage to break down that iron door.” The man called Zhou Quan gave his excuse helplessly.
He had brought out his full strength, yet the iron door didn’t even move a bit. In the end, the surrounding houses had all been shattered, and all that he had gotten for his troubles was a noseful of dust!
“Oh, so it’s a door made with Dark Blue Cold Iron?” Mo Wen’s eyes flashed with a glint of surprise. He walked up and touched the iron door. As expected, an ice-cold chill surged into his heart.
He could see that there were dark blue lights shimring on the iron door. Mo Wen could identify from a single glance that this iron door was definitely made of Dark Blue Cold Iron!
A look of glee filled his face! They had discovered a true treasure! After all, Dark Blue Cold Iron was no ordinary item, but a material from the Immortal Cultivator world!
