In the Dark Nether Wasteland, atop a desolate mountain, two figures sat on a giant rock drinking fine wine; it was Tangyu and Sun Wukong.
Drinking fine wine and enjoying delicious food, Sun Wukong had a content look on his face: "Refreshing, truly refreshing. The slaughter along the way was exhilarating. It’s amazing how fast this kind of cultivation enhances strength. Haha, I, old Sun, love this way of training. Now the fringe areas of the Dark Nether Wasteland have been cleared by us; I think those from the Yao Race have been pushed back into the Dark Nether Wasteland and won’t dare to invade again any ti soon. Tangyu, where is our next target? How will we fight?"
"If I don’t battle for a day, my whole body itches. Hurry up and give us a plan."
Sun Wukong was extrely fond of battle, a trait sowhat reminiscent of the Huaxia mythology. All enjoy battling, otherwise, he wouldn’t be called the Fighting Buddha.
Tangyu smiled, took a swig of wine, and looked towards the depths of the Dark Nether Wasteland, where the real stronghold of the Yao Race lies. But of course, Tangyu had no courage to enter the Yao Race territory; that would be suicidal.
"Let’s not rush. We’ll station ourselves here for now. The fringe area of our Jiuzhou Immortal Sect is much cleaner now, and we won’t bother with the other places for the mont. These days of warfare have given many new insights; I want to take this opportunity to cultivate well and strive to enhance my strength," Tangyu said.
Sun Wukong was now completely following Tangyu’s lead; naturally, he had no objections to whatever Tangyu said.
After finishing his drink, Tangyu began his cultivation. The enhancent gained through battle is the fastest and most effective. Practical applications yield true understanding, whether it’s the Sword Great Path or the Yin Yang Great Path, both require genuine understanding through practice.
The accumulation of these days has filled Tangyu’s heart with many thoughts.
He completely cald his mind, allowing all those realizations to surge, combining them to clear many paths.
With a motion of his hand, the Pangu Axe appeared, and with a ’wham,’ he swung it down, slicing through the void like a galaxy, instantly creating a massive crack a thousand feet long, as if this piece of heaven were being split open by Tangyu’s axe.
After an axe, the thousand-foot-long crack in space slowly closed up. If anyone had witnessed this scene, they would have been greatly startled. This was true sky-splitting earth-rending power, a capability not possessed by ordinary people.
Tangyu’s face showed a slight smile: "Finally, the Pangu Nine Axes Eighth Axe is accomplished, now only the last one remains. Of course, this isn’t the perfect version, it’s a more refined simplified version, but not the true version. After all, the Pangu Nine Axes is the Supre Immortal Technique of the Pangu Immortal Venerate, and my realm is still low. Mastering a Supre Immortal Technique is naturally impossible for now. However, I can start practicing the full version, but it might disrupt my cultivation order and affect . So, I need to master this simplified version first before working on the full version."
In fact, what Tangyu is cultivating now is not much different from the true Pangu Nine Axes. Once Tangyu achieves Great Accomplishnt with the Pangu Nine Axes, further cultivation and enhancent will be relatively easier. By then, Tangyu’s strength will be even more terrifying.
"Haha, impressive, Tangyu. The Pangu Nine Axes Eighth Axe has been completed so quickly, powerful indeed," Sun Wukong lay lazily on a big rock drinking wine, watching Tangyu cultivate. He didn’t need to work as hard in cultivation. He only needed to fight to unleash his infinite vital energy, elevating his realm was as easy as eating candy. This was Sun Wukong’s inherent advantage, unmatched by others.
Getting Sun Wukong to cultivate quietly like Tangyu was impossible.
Tangyu didn’t stop and repeatedly practiced. Although the Pangu Nine Axes Eighth Axe was complete, what Tangyu truly desired was to create the third style of the Bright Moon Sword Art, sothing he always wanted. He had accumulated a lot on the third style. His understanding of the Yin Yang Great Path and the Sword Great Path had deepened significantly. With such accumulation, Tangyu hoped to make a breakthrough and create it in one go.
There were many ideas forming in his mind, now it was about making them a reality.
Tangyu placed the Yuguang Sword calmly in both hands, sat cross-legged, emptied his mind, and entered a profound state. His mind was conducting a series of deductions, similar to how a computer operates. All insights, all Dao, all thoughts were undergoing a great amalgamation and consolidation, distilling essential truths to craft a true treasure from these essences.
This step was extrely challenging.
Creating a Cultivation Technique is far more difficult than practicing one.
Moreover, the Bright Moon Sword Art has extraordinary standards, and Tangyu’s requirents for it were higher than ever. If it were just an ordinary third style, Tangyu could have created it long ago. But he was very dissatisfied with those, and would rather discard unsatisfactory work.
As he progressed to this point, Tangyu’s vision was broad, and naturally, it wasn’t limited to his initial ideas. Hence, he had raised the bar significantly for the third style, and with the improvents made to the earlier styles making them much stronger, creating the third style had beco inherently more difficult.
Sitting cross-legged for three days and three nights, Sun Wukong entertained himself by drinking and eating delicacies, without disturbing Tangyu. Sotis, when he felt happy, he would even catch so wild beasts to roast and eat.
Suddenly, Tangyu opened his eyes, clear and bright, free from any impurities, just like the eyes of a newborn baby. So clear, that he could see all the future paths, and perceive the endless mysteries of the Great Dao.
Then, Tangyu moved, his Yuguang Sword executing a thrust, a sweep, a slash, a chop, and a stab in the air, completing the most basic and simple actions. However, these seemingly simple actions were not simple at all. Each move contained the Dao of the Sword Great Path and the Yin Yang Great Path. Each style could invoke the power of these two Great Paths, making what seed like a simple and ordinary sword strike beco incredibly formidable, a casual thrust could pierce a hole through the void.
This was akin to the Return to the Origin realm achieved by martial artists in Huaxia Country.
This style had already rged in many Daos, possessing the power of the Dao, naturally becoming exceptionally frightening.
Sun Wukong’s eyes also brightened as he looked over, "Amazing, amazing! This sword, it’s truly terrifying, it seems to be no weaker than Tangyu’s Eighth Axe of the Pangu Nine Axes."
Yet Tangyu was dissatisfied, shaking his head, "Not enough, still not enough. This isn’t the Third Style I want, it’s not perfect, not perfect enough. The sword has the Sword Dao, the Sword Great Path, endless mysteries, leading to the infinite. This is a Great Path; the Bright Moon Sword Art I want to create must also directly lead to the Great Dao. The Bright Moon Sword Art should comprehensively present the Sword Great Path, this is what I want, it’s also a form of ambition. If you want to seek immortality and ask the Dao, you must do what others dare not, strive for what others dare not strive for."
"Things others dare not envision, I, Tangyu, dare to imagine. Things others dare not do, I, Tangyu, dare to do. Things others cannot achieve, I, Tangyu, can accomplish. Break all conventions, surpass all constraints, leave everyone behind, and walk an ancient and unprecedented path, forge a road no one else can tread. Only in this way could I possibly achieve the Boundless, seeking immortality. Truly those who seek immortality and inquire about the Dao, which of them wasn’t astonishing since ancient tis, which of them didn’t achieve what others could not?"
"Previously, my vision was limited, so my requirents for the Bright Moon Sword Art weren’t high. But now it’s different, I’ve seen more things, understood more, my vision and state of mind have naturally elevated. Naturally, I can no longer adhere to past standards. If that’s the case, then whether I create the Bright Moon Sword Art or not, it will be of little use."
"What I hope for is that eventually, the Bright Moon Sword Art can break through the constraints of the Great Dao, surpass the Great Dao. In that case, perhaps I could walk a path never trodden by others. In that case, maybe I could truly seek immortality and understand the Dao."
If soone knew of Tangyu’s idea, they would surely be shocked, or even frightened, and naturally, so might laugh at Tangyu dismissively.
This idea could no longer be described as bold, it can’t be sumd up by saying it’s too ambitious. No worldly adjectives could aptly describe it.
It is fair to say that Tangyu’s action is unprecedented, this wouldn’t be an exaggeration. If he indeed managed to achieve this step, at the very least, most would believe there was truly a possibility of becoming an Immortal. Indeed, so have attempted this path, but without exception, they all failed.
Much like simultaneously cultivating Qi Refinent and Divine Demon Body Refinent, since Ancient Tis, countless prodigies from the Ancient Divine Demon Clan have tried, but all without exception failed, no one succeeded in walking both paths to their extres.
Even the Immortal Venerate Moluo only achieved the stage of a Demi Immortal, yet still couldn’t beco a true Immortal.
Is there an Immortal in the world?
This is not rely a folk tune but is the relentless pursuit of countless astonishing individuals since ancient tis towards Immortality, seeking immortality and inquiring about the Dao, inquiring about eternal life, it is the obsession of countless cultivators.
But from ancient tis until now, no one has proven they beca an Immortal. Immortals have always only seed like a beautiful legend. Everyone believes in the existence of Immortals, but no one has seen one, nor has anyone beco immortal, it’s like a mystery.
Yet, despite this, since ancient tis, all cultivators still aspire most fervently to beco Immortals.
After rejecting that sword strike, Tangyu continued to contemplate, fully imrsed in it, with undistracted focus, making the cultivation effect the best.
Seeing Tangyu’s continued contemplation, Sun Wukong furrowed his brow puzzledly, "This Tangyu, clearly he had just created it, so why did he overthrow it again? That style was strong enough, yet still not satisfactory? His standards are too high, aren’t they?"
Speaking thus, Sun Wukong also shook his head, unable to understand these things, and was too lazy to think more about it. He resud drinking his wine and eating his at; that was the tangible thing.
After another half day, Tangyu unleashed another sword strike, this one was truly sharper and more terrifying than the previous one, with unmatched fierceness. However, Tangyu was still dissatisfied, still feeling it lacking perfection and brilliance, not the style he truly desired.
