Chapter 1415: Chapter 1415: ng Tianhe’s Entry
“What? Retreat just like that!”
Shi Zhuyin was unwilling to accept it. Although the Divine Emperor Shenwu was strong, they had brought several Heavenly Dao deities this ti, and judging by the situation, it wasn’t impossible to suppress him.
“Retreat!”
A stern voice commanded.
“Wu Shang, let us take him down together!”
Shi Zhuyin still wanted to give it another try.
“Retreat imdiately. Shi Zhuyin, if you do not obey orders, I will use the Heavenly Lord’s decree to punish you. For this operation, I am in command.”
The voice rebuked.
“Fine!”
Shi Zhuyin gritted his teeth and spat, “Divine Emperor Shenwu, you win this ti, but don’t think this is over. We’ll have plenty of chances to clash in the future!”
With the Heavenly Dao deities of Dujietian, he vanished in an instant and left the Guangyu Alliance.
Outside the Guangyu Alliance, in a vast expanse of sky and earth, a figure in gray robes—resembling an ancient deity of the shamanic path—was waiting for them.
“Wu Shang!”
Shi Zhuyin shouted at him, “Why did you make retreat? We have the numbers and the power. Are we really afraid of him? The people of Guangyu Alliance don’t even dare to challenge us. With your strength added to mine, we could possibly suppress and seal him today!”
His dissatisfaction was evident.
This Wu Shang was the foremost Heavenly Dao deity of Dujietian, wielding the Primal Divine Artifact and overseeing operations whenever the Heavenly Lord was in seclusion.
“I underestimated the strength of Divine Emperor Shenwu. Our operation failed this ti. Given his authority, the Guangyu Alliance leader will undoubtedly harbor many thoughts.”
Wu Shang spoke calmly, “Can’t you see? With his strength, it is impossible for us to seal him. Even if I intervene, he can leave whenever he wants—we cannot hold him down.”
“That would still be better than retreating outright,” Shi Zhuyin replied.
“Foolishness!”
Wu Shang gave no face and chastised, “If we were to fight to the death, that would be precisely what he wants. With his strength, he cannot kill you, but those at the first and second levels of the Heavenly Dao would inevitably be eradicated in the chaos, and he would walk away unscathed. Can you bear the consequences of such a cost?”
Shi Zhuyin fell silent. His earlier clash with Chu Yuan had already made him acutely aware of the other’s strength.
“Moreover, not long ago, the Ancient Heavenly Lord reappeared, and the Primal Divine Spirits are already investigating.”
Wu Shang continued, “Return to Dujietian. Report to the Heavenly Lord and listen to his commands.”
“His strength forced Shi Zhuyin to retreat, and Wu Shang didn’t even make a move. Clearly, Wu Shang judged that even if he intervened, it would be futile—or worse, co at a trendous cost. His strength is unfathomable.”
The Guangyu Alliance leader mused to himself before saying aloud, “Divine Emperor Shenwu’s strength is earth-shattering. Seeing it today, without the Divine Emperor intervening, Tianhe would have surely been dood.”
Everyone present could understand the implications without needing further explanation.
“My intervention today was because Tianhe helped in the past. The cause of yesterday brings the fruit of today.”
Chu Yuan said.
“My assistance back then was insignificant. Today, it is the Divine Emperor who is the true savior. Otherwise, given Shi Zhuyin’s viciousness, he would never have spared !”
ng Tianhe was infinitely grateful for his past actions.
“Tianhe, your crisis has now been resolved. What are your plans? My advice is that you should avoid appearing before Shi Zhuyin for the ti being. He has suffered a great loss this ti and certainly won’t let it go so easily.”
The Guangyu Alliance leader suggested.
“You want to hide!”
ng Tianhe was unwilling to hide himself away. Suddenly, he looked at Chu Yuan and said, “If the Divine Emperor doesn’t mind, Tianhe wishes to join Shenwu and serve His Majesty. I refuse to hide, and I refuse to accept this fate!”
“What? You want to join Shenwu?” one vice leader exclaid.
“Indeed, I wish to join Shenwu. Even if the Divine Emperor does not accept , I will leave the Guangyu Alliance. I know I’ve caused the alliance leader trendous trouble, and I cannot remain here.”
ng Tianhe understood within himself.
Staying in the Guangyu Alliance would an hiding forever; joining Shenwu would allow him to walk tall and proudly—even washing away today’s humiliation.
He was clear on one point.
If he chose hiding, he’d never break through to truly transcend himself in this life.
Chu Yuan had saved him, and he was willing to follow Chu Yuan—using battle to temper his Dao heart.
“Very well. If you wish to join my Shenwu, I would certainly welco you. From now on, you are one of Shenwu’s own. Anyone who dares humiliate you shall not escape my wrath.”
Chu Yuan smiled.
ng Tianhe’s decision to join was unexpected but also logical.
He had cooperated with ng Tianhe a few tis before. Shi Zhuyin’s humiliation this ti had pushed ng Tianhe’s hatred for Dujietian to its peak.
This world operates on the principle of survival of the fittest, where strength reigns supre. If ng Tianhe sought revenge, following Chu Yuan would be his only path forward.
Guangyu Alliance?
They would never dare.
“Alas, perhaps joining Shenwu is best for you. After all, even as the alliance leader, I cannot protect you.”
The Guangyu Alliance leader could only feel regret deep in his heart.
Their alliance was rely a coalition—not a loyal faction. Over the ages, many Heavenly Dao deities had joined and many had departed.
He understood his limits. He was unable to protect ng Tianhe or provide him the strength to cleanse his humiliation.
“If Tianhe is joining Shenwu, then I—Yan Bingyun—will naturally follow. I humbly request acceptance into Shenwu, Divine Emperor!”
Yan Bingyun looked at ng Tianhe resolutely, as if wherever he went, she would follow.
“You!” ng Tianhe stared at her.
“Why can you join Shenwu, but I cannot? Hmph, I feel just as humiliated as you by today’s events. If I were to run away, my Dao heart would shatter.”
Yan Bingyun paid no heed to his anger.
“I would certainly welco you.”
Chu Yuan smiled.
The unexpected recruitnt of two Heavenly Dao deities greatly bolstered the strength of the Shenwu dynasty.
“The Divine Emperor welcos —do you plan to stop ?”
Yan Bingyun challenged him with a victorious grin.
“Although I am leaving the Guangyu Alliance today, I will never forget the alliance leader’s efforts on my behalf. This ti, the alliance leader diated for , but ultimately, Dujietian is sothing we cannot contend with.”
ng Tianhe said.
“Alliance Leader, what are your thoughts?”
Chu Yuan turned to the Guangyu Alliance leader.
“Shi Zhuyin’s actions today are outrageous. He disregards completely. They are too tyrannical. If this continues, how can we even survive? I think the Guangyu Alliance should form an alliance with the Divine Emperor—this is a golden opportunity.”
The alliance leader had thought it through.
The Guangyu Alliance was far too weak on its own. If they could partner with Shenwu, the two factions could serve as an interlocking defense. This would make it much harder for Dujietian to oppress them unchecked.
He needed allies, and Shenwu needed them too.
But he also understood the nature of such alliances.
These partnerships were, after all, rely superficial agreents—each side borrowing the other’s aura to create an illusion of greater strength.
When faced with life-threatening crises, neither side would truly sacrifice for the other.
“I also agree with the alliance leader’s proposal for an alliance.”
The two vice leaders voiced their agreent.
“Very well. Let us seize this opportunity today to finalize our union. Dujietian’s tyranny grows by the day. Without gathering the strongest forces, we will only be subjected to their oppression.”
Chu Yuan declared.
Thus, what had initially been a conference to help ng Tianhe beca a summit to formalize the alliance between Chu Yuan and the Guangyu Alliance. The discussions went smoothly and amiably.
“Now that the alliance matters are settled, I will not overstay here. I warmly welco you all to visit my empire.”
Chu Yuan departed from the Guangyu Alliance with ng Tianhe and the others.
