Chapter 1387: Chapter 1387: Following Black Coffin

The Black Coffin destroyed this universe, and it did not stop—it surged forward once again.

“Drifting endlessly within the multiverse, destruction is but a byproduct for it. It buried an ancient epoch, and within its depths, sothing incomprehensible lies sealed.”

Chu Yuan’s heart suddenly felt a wave of desolation.

[Choice Two: Do not follow the Black Coffin’s drift, gain 60,000 Destiny Points, x1 Heavenly Dao Divine Healing Potion, x1 random Heavenly Dao Divine Artifact.]

“Interesting. I will see how far you can drift.”

Chu Yuan, having no pressing matters to attend to in his empire, decided to follow the Black Coffin as it moved forward.

The pursuit lasted for several years.

He witnessed the Black Coffin annihilate thousands upon thousands of universes, engulfing countless living beings into its storm of destruction. Even the Heavenly Dao Gods could not escape its grasp; several were devoured.

The horror of the Black Coffin—he had seen it firsthand.

“Where is its destination? Could it be wandering endlessly within the multiverse?”

Deep in his heart, Chu Yuan carried profound doubts.

“The Ancient Mang Sanctuary—it’s not part of the Thirty-Three Heavens, but its master, the Ancient Mang Lord, is a Fifth Realm titan. Following this trajectory, it will reach the Ancient Mang World.”

Chu Yuan continued trailing the Black Coffin, watching it as it wrought destruction at every turn.

At this mont, chaos engulfed the Ancient Mang Sanctuary.

“Sacred Lord, the destructive dark tide is coming! What shall we do? It’s heading straight for our sanctuary!”

A Heavenly Dao God with horns upon his head cried out in urgency.

“We stand no chance against it. It has already annihilated countless universes. Even Heavenly Dao Gods who tried to resist were crushed like ants beneath a wheel. Are we to flee the Ancient Mang Sanctuary?”

The might of the Ancient Mang Sanctuary had allowed them to receive advance warning and learn of the Black Coffin’s devastating power.

“No, we cannot give up the Ancient Mang Sanctuary. This heaven was built over tens of thousands of years, forged through imnse effort and sacrifice. It is our foundation—without it, our strength will diminish!”

All eyes turned toward an elder draped in a luminous robe.

“Sacred Lord, we await your command!”

“This calamitous dark tide—I cannot discern its true nature. But one thing is clear: with the power of our sanctuary alone, we cannot stop it. To attempt resistance would be to court utter annihilation!”

The Ancient Mang Lord was filled with bitter frustration, yet he remained powerless.

“Evacuate the sanctuary. Preserve our strength. Hurry—bring all living beings away. I estimate we have half an hour before it arrives!”

The relocation of a sanctuary’s universe was an arduous endeavor—not rely the migration of living beings, but the preservation of countless relics scattered across the heavens.

Before many could fully comprehend what was happening, everything was gone in an instant.

Boom!

Even faster than the Ancient Mang Lord predicted, as they had just vacated the universe, the Black Coffin descended upon the Ancient Mang Sanctuary, unleashing complete obliteration.

The Black Coffin, capable of burying an advanced civilization, annihilated the sanctuary as though it were re dust.

“Our heaven is destroyed!”

From afar, the Ancient Mang Sanctuary’s powerful figures watched in despair as the Black Coffin consud and obliterated their realm. Their faces were wrought with sorrow and agony, yet even as Heavenly Dao Gods, they were powerless to halt this cataclysm.

“As long as we possess the will, we can rebuild. With the infinite lifespan granted by Heavenly Dao, we have ti to forge a new sanctuary.”

The Ancient Mang Lord himself was overco with grief. The sanctuary he had built to ascend to Primordial Divinity was now shattered.

Yet a part of him was thankful: countless others had tested the Black Coffin’s overwhelming might beforehand. Without this knowledge, his hubris might have led him to resist, resulting in an even more devastating fate.

“The Ancient Mang Sanctuary is gone.”

Chu Yuan observed coldly, his expression devoid of emotion.

Such destruction—he had seen it far too many tis before. It had long ceased to faze him.

Compared to others, the Ancient Mang Sanctuary fared better; they had received early warnings, evacuated their beings, and lost only their heaven—not their lives.

The Ancient Mang Sanctuary was not Primordial Heaven, capable of withstanding the Black Coffin without succumbing.

“Let us see where the Black Coffin moves next!”

The Ancient Mang Lord gritted his teeth. His sanctuary destroyed, he now resolved to follow its onward path.

He also noticed Chu Yuan.

The two exchanged no words, rely nodding at each other from across the distance.

“If this continues, its next target might very well be the Creation Heaven!”

The Fla Ancestor, his voice trembling, occasionally self-sacrificed as he growled vehently: “The Creation Heaven is one of the Thirty-Three Heavens, existing since ti immorial. Although the Primordial Heaven is terrifying, it has faded into obscurity. If the Black Coffin truly strikes it, who knows whether it can be stopped?”

Chu Yuan also knew of the Creation Heaven.

Among the Thirty-Three Heavens, it ranked mid-tier in strength. Several Primordial Divinities resided there, making it far mightier than the Oceanic Heaven.

Should such a heaven be struck, who could foresee the disaster it would bring?

“The Creation Heaven?” Chu Yuan’s eyes glead. “Let us go and see.”

As the Black Coffin approached the Creation Heaven, signs of prosperity grew more frequent. The news it brought spread like a storm, wildly disseminating throughout the multiverse.

Several Heavenly Dao Gods preemptively arrived at the Creation Heaven.

“We will first head to the Creation Heaven!”

Chu Yuan manipulated the flow of space-ti, arriving ahead of the Black Coffin to observe how the forces of the Thirty-Three Heavens might resist.

A strong sense of foreboding filled him.

The ergence of the Black Coffin could an nothing good.

“The Black Coffin—has it appeared once again?”

At that sa mont, in an extrely concealed corner of the multiverse, a solitary figure sat in silence. She was none other than Goddess Yanran.

Goddess Yanran’s true identity was cloaked in mystery.

Her mories were locked within a cycle of seals.

She knew only that her current incarnation was the Ancient Source Heaven’s master. Yet she also understood that a deeper identity lay beneath—a fragnted truth that occasionally surfaced.

“Drifting aimlessly, having destroyed epoch after epoch, burying yourselves within the Black Coffin. Your bitterness lingers still as you await the day you might reerge in the multiverse.”

In an icy voice, Goddess Yanran murmured to herself: “I seem to recall witnessing this civilization’s downfall, long, long ago. Many epochs and countless realms—so many have crumbled in a cyclical dance of ruin. And this epoch has endured for too long, gripped by towering entities controlling everything.”

“Does eternity have any chance?”

“Cycle after cycle—I seem to have lived through much, yet lost even more.”

Her tone was strange and ancient.

Her divine gaze pierced across the boundaries of ti and space, peering into the Black Coffin, as if glimpsing its contents.

“It is heading toward the Creation Heaven.”

She appeared to foresee the great Creation Heaven, its interior already quaking violently. “The Creation Heaven cannot withstand them; no single heaven can resist them. It will rely allow the Black Coffin to pass through and eventually return to the depths of the multiverse.”

Speaking to herself, she once more closed her eyes.
